Part Two

[Azith Year 731]

-Present Time-

I happen to recall the order given to me by the Royal Palace, our squad was one of the skilled and fierce knights that fight on the front-line whenever war arise.

The war between the Oblaria Kingdom was happening right now. We as the knight of the Escon Kingdom pledge our life to protect it.

This war happens a month ago. The neighboring kingdom with full of greed started this war. We are preparing to have a surprise attack on the enemy base.

I am polishing my armor and weapon just to make sure that it will kill in one blow anything when one of the knights called out for me.

"Dame Zenobia, the first and second battalion are already informed about the surprise attack. The stand by third battalion knights is preparing as well." My right hand, the second in command, Knight Vice-Commander Alexandra Fallon.

She is one of the best female knights in the kingdom. I myself have seen how she exemplary annihilated the enemy based unscathed. She is the only friend I have, no one approach me because of my strong aura.

"Good, Knight Vice-Commander Fallon, double check everything, tomorrow at dawn we will march to the enemy base." I told her.

She walks towards me and sit down hastily in front of me.

"Are you not yet done with polishing your armor? Let's head outside to eat dinner Ry." She called me out.

"I'm almost done." After brushing off, I stand up and put it on the side of my bed. "Let's go." I said and walk towards the exit.

"Ha! I can't believe they put us again on a tight situation. Why not put the other squad on the front-line?" She keeps on blabbing things out as a disappointment.

"It's been a month and we're almost done on our job here, yet you still keep on whining?" I frankly told her. "If someone heard you, you might be imprisoned for treason against the empire." I warned her.

"Alright! I will keep my mouth shut! Geez." She said in a defeated tone. "I hope no death will arise to us. Though we might encounter some injuries, it is much better than burying a comrade's dead body on the land of another country." She also said while her hands are resting on the back of her head.

"So far, there's no casualty recorded on our squad. That's a good sign does not it?" I said while observing the camp.

Few of the knights are talking and having fun eating the meal that might be the last meal they will have. Preparing for the worst case scenario we can encounter. I pledge that I will not let my men died in vain.

Once we caught their attention they immediately greeted us. I'm glad the moral of my knights in not depleted.

"Gather everyone once done eating. We will be having a last meeting." I told them and they all nodded their heads as an answer.

"Ry, let's eat now. The soup will not taste good when it gets cold." Zandra called me out to eat my Ration of food.

While I'm eating,, one by one the knights are starting to gather near my spot where I decided to sit and ate my food with Zandra a while ago.

"Commander and Vice-Commander, we are here." They formed a line and position based on their squad.

"Very well. I see that you all are in a good condition. Tomorrow at dawn, we will commence our surprise attack plan and will go back t our homes with victory. I will not accept any death on my knight, I believe in you all. You know what to do on the battle field, be wild, let no man on our part be killed, bring down the heads of the enemy!" I told them the plan once again and speak for increasing the moral.

"Let's go home and bring glory to the empire! Let's soar high as the sky once again! Understood?!" I shouted with confidence.

"YES! UNDERSTOOD! WE THE FOURTH SQUAD WILL BRING VICTORY!" They all shouted with dignity.

"The Grand Chancellor told me that they will hold a banquet if we bring glory to the empire of the Escon kingdom. Save your life and enjoy the food and drinks waiting for us when we go back!" I also said to them to add more a little bit of spice to the mood.

"Third Squad prepare everything and be on standby. Saving life of the injured is your top priority." I told them; this squad is the medical team I formed in case something bad will happen. This squad also knows how to fight.

"Yes Commander, everything is all set. We will wait for further instructions from your side." Said Carol the Third Squadron Leader.

"Follow the recent instructions given to you before. I will give another order soon." I told her to continue the previous orders given to them.

"Understood, commander. We will abide the order you have given us." She said and bow.

"Rest well and relax your mind and body. Dismiss!" I once more. Then they started to go back to their designated positions to rest and sleep for a couple of hours.

I myself, walk back to my tent and decided to sleep for a while. I need energy since I will be the one on the front together with Jeremy and Zandra.
