First year Final Exams

It was swelteringly hot, especially in the large classroom where they did their written papers. They had been given special, new quills for the exams, which had been bewitched with an Anti cheating spell.Not that Neville would ever dare to cheat on a system mission.

He was sure that he had tied with Hermione for almost all the theoretical exams after they discussed the paper.

In fact he got an advantage over Defence Against the dark arts as he had already applied the basics in the Philosopher's stone trial.

They had practical exams as well. Professor Flitwick called them one by one into his class to see if they could make a pineapple tap dance across a desk.

He managed to make a romantic dance with 2 pineapples resulting in some bonus marks from Professor Flitwick.

Hermione who saw this tried to imitate him but failed thus wasting her attempt.

She was given another attempt and tried it on one pineapple this time though he believed that her charm had deteriorated from the time she practised due to the recent failure.

Professor McGonagall watched them turn a mouse into a snuff box- points were given on how pretty the box was, but taken away if it had whiskers.

In this again he once again won with a very intricate looking snuffbox in his hands as a transmigrator from 2 decades later;

What kind of design had he not seen?

Hermione, who had great talent in Transfiguration, also managed to make a lovely snuff box but it lost in terms of details.

Snape made them all nervous, breathing down their necks while they tried to remember how to make a Forgetfulness Potion. He was sure that the system would not take this excuse for his failure in making Forgetfulness Potion. While Hermione practically glowed as she held onto her vial which even Snape grudgingly had to acknowledge as "acceptable".

Their very last exam was History of Magic. One hour of answering questions about batty old wizards who had invented self-stirring cauldrons and they would be free, free for a whole wonderful week until their exam results came out.

When the ghost of Professor Binns told them to put down their quills and roll up their parchments, all the students cheered up.

"That was far easier than I thought it would be," said Hermione, as they joined the crowds flocking out into the sunny grounds.

Neville completely agreed with the above statement, he had the help of the solved previous years questions and hence could answer almost all of them.

He was sure to land in the 1st or 2nd ranks overall.

He did not mind being an immortal even if it meant that he could not step into sunlight ever again.

With the tendency of the system he might get a mission related to the blue spider lily that would help him overcome his weakness of sunlight in the future.

It could also provide him with a way to go back to being a human in the future missions with Tamayo's potion.

As for the first reward he really loved the option of being able to talk to magical beasts; there were so many possibilities in that ability.

He who had already taken the Super Soldier Serum had no need for the temporary physical power up provided during the full moon transformation.

As a precaution, he placed his main body in the Requirements Chamber after the exams, to not cause any commotion when the mission Reward was issued.

They wandered down the lake and flopped under a tree. The Weasley twins and Lee Jordan were tickling the tentacles of a giant squid, which was basking in the warm shallows.

Harry kept rubbing his forehead, and even after repeated consolations from Ron and Hermione, couldn't shake off a lurking feeling that there was something important that he had forgotten to do.

Then suddenly as he had connected all the dots he jumped to his feet and scrambled along with his friends to Hagrid's Hut.

He explained his reasoning on the way that how odd the encounter between Hagrid, a person who wants more than anything else is a dragon, and the stranger, who wandered around with dragon eggs despite the fact that it was illegal, had been.

Once they got there, after a simple enquiry they came to know that Hagrid, the big oaf, had already divulged Fluffy's weakness to the stranger who gave him the dragon's egg.

He was actually more concerned about them knowing the secret than the stranger!

It was during this time that Neville got the much awaited Ding signifying the mission Reward.
