The instant Xue Yiran walked into the classroom; the whole class became mum. Amidst the sudden taciturn, Xue Yiran walked over to her seat and sat down. It didn't take long for the discrete whispers of the students to fill up the whole classroom.
A female student stood up from her seat and head over to where Xue Yiran desk was stationed at.
"Good morning, Xue Yiran. My name is Fancy. I was wondering if the two of us could become friends." Fancy smile was pleasant. Her signature smile was the type that could make people feel closer to her. While Fancy wasn't among those who had talked down on Xue Yiran, she was among those who remained neutral. Neither interceding nor aggravating.
"Not interested." Xue Yiran rejected her advances. Why should she become friends with her? Just because she suddenly became well known, she wanted to get into her good book. That's definitely impossible.
"Oh." Fancy left, feeling downhearted. Several other students also came to try their luck. Who knows, perhaps she might be touched by their goodwill. However, they were also met with the same brutal rejection.
If it was before, they would have scorned at Xue Yiran; saying spiteful things about her. Now aware of the fact that the girl they had been looking down upon is a powerful figure, they dare not utter any unpleasant things that would warrant her dissatisfaction. Indeed, in this dimension, strength speak louder than words.
Xue Yiran who thought she would regain her solitude unexpectedly had another visitor. This time it was Julian.
Looking at Julian figure in front of her, Xue Yiran waited for the other party to speak. If she could recall, the two had already parted on bad terms. Then why is he here?
"I..." Julian clutched his palm under the hem of his shirt. This time, he was the one who was slapped in the face by the other party. Who would have thought that she was a powerful individual with a king rank beast at her call. When he made a scene back then, she must have laughed at him behind his back.
Julian felt a bit of shame and anger at the thought that Xue Yiran was hiding her strength all along. 'Why did she do that? Perhaps she wants to see me make a joke of myself'.
"I'm here to apologize for what I did back then." Julian finally voiced out.
"Oh, you mean that time. Never mind, I didn't take the situation back then to heart."
Julian was expecting Xue Yiran to gloat at him, but seeing the indifference expression in her face, he became even more angry.
"Are you happy seeing me like this?"
Xue Yiran was stunned by the sudden question. "What do you mean?"
"Yeah, I know I'm a poor trash who cannot afford getting a contract beast on his own. You must have been laughing in your heart seeing me make a fool of myself every time."
Xue Yiran became even more confused. It appears like Julian seem to have a problem with his logical thinking.
"You all are the same set of people. You make me sick. The way you look down on people as if you are on top of the world irritates me. I bet you must have mocked me in your heart several times when I asked you to be my friend. Why? Perhaps because I'm out of your league" Julian scoffed before continuing, "I hate it. I hate everything about you. That indifference air on your face disgusts me. Do you think now that you're well-known, we'll rush over to scurry favor with you."
[What the hell is wrong with this guy] Susu was taken aback by Julian animosity. If he could recall, Julian was the one who started the whole farce. Yet he kept blaming the host.
No one need to tell Xue Yiran that Julian was suffering from an inferiority complex. Perhaps the first time he had saw her, he must have thought that they were in the same league. But ever since Xue Yiran had rejected his advances back then, his emotions seem to have gotten out of control.
"I don't like your current look."
"What?" Julian was stunned by Xue Yiran words.
"The way you look at me, I don't like it. I don't know why you resent me so much, but I don't think I've done anything apart from refusing your friendship." Xue Yiran spoke. "Yeah, we're being ostracized by the whole classroom but that do not infer that we're both from the same world. The fact that I became notable among the students is through my hard work. If you think you are a poor trash, then you are."
"Furthermore, the fact that you're a poor trash isn't my fault. The fact that you're being excluded in the classroom isn't my fault either. If you like complaining that much, why don't you go and complain to the teachers. Why pour down all your resentment to me. Yeah, you hate my indifferent expression but why should I care. Tell me, why should I care about your opinion on me. Oh, you think I should be on smile; trying to be good to everyone. Why should I do that. If you're that free, why don't you find something to do. You're so young, yet carry such a huge resentment in your heart. I hate it. I feel so disgusted whenever I see your face."
Julian expression changed.
"So please leave. I don't think I've anything to do with you." Xue Yiran finished.
"You..." Julian was tongue-tied. At first, he had been the one berating Xue Yiran but when the tides turn back to him, he was so ashamed that he wished to find a hole to hide himself. "Yeah, you're all the same. Believe me, you'll regret this." He could only spurt out some threatening words and walked back to his seat in defeat.
Although they witnessed the scene, none of the students said anything but instead had their faces buried in their book.
"Ahh." Xue Yiran was extremely pissed. What is all this? Is this school filled with neurotic individuals or what? First Aviva, now Julian.
Could it be that she has transmigrated inside a novel where she took the role of the villain. Could Julian and Aviva be the protagonist who will take a revenge on her in the later part of the novel.
Becoming suspicious, she asked, 'Susu, did we land inside a novel?'
[What do you mean host? We're in Starry Sky planet. It's a planet among the millions of planets in the universe. And besides, if we're in a novel, you'll surely be the protagonist. With me here, how could you not be.]
At Susu last two sentence, Xue Yiran wave it off. Now that she isn't in a book, then why is she still surrounded by these unreasonable individuals.
It is really tiring.
