Lost Chance

Gluttony did not like to fight. Or rather, one side of him hated fighting. Sure, he enjoyed his spars with Avarice, but he normally did it out of boredom. And unlike Avarice, he did not inherit the Glyph of his predecessor, thanks to an individual bearing the name Sannin.

However, the fire that burned within the boy's eyes was riling it up. Deep within its core it could feel the boredom slowly fade being replaced by a feeling that it only experienced when devouring anything.

Pleasure.

If only the other mouths wouldn't stop drooling, longing to devour the boy, if only.

Brandon rushed in for the kill, striking the ground. The sin jumped back, throwing its fist at him. Parrying the blow, Brandon used the other stick to strike the daemon's face, making it stagger. Quickly, Brandon struck the daemon's knee and whacked it across the face before it could touch the ground. The sin unleashed a wave of vestorer at the boy, who blocked it expertly, spinning round as he unleashed it back at the sin. The sin blocked the blast with his right arm, firing a ball of energy at Brandon who was charging from that direction, forcing him to block with the middle shaft of the three sectioned staff. Without warning, two pairs of armored feet came out of nowhere, landing on and turning the sin's head, twisting it in an awkward direction. The sin cracked its neck back into position, looking at the girl with black hair who had joined the fight. It had forgotten about her.

With incredible speed, she threw something at it. The sin fired at the object, completely disintegrating it, unaware of the second object thrown at it. The second object, or to be precise, Frank's head bit deep into the sin's shoulder, spraying black blood everywhere. The sin stood still, utterly confused. Brandon charged in again, expertly juggling the weapon as he whacked the sin back, taking back Frank's head. He tossed it to Rachel who threw it up in the air.

"Ready?" Rachel asked.

"For what?"

"Hah. Just follow my lead."

Brandon glanced at her and bent down, propelling himself at the sin. Stretching out the three sectioned staff, he combined it together, combining it into one whole staff before splitting it into two nunchunks. Breaking the chains holding the two sticks together, he landed an uppercut on the sin with one stick and slammed its shoulder down with another. Kicking Brandon away, the sin fired a vestorer, which grazed Brandon's side. Brandon rushed in, parrying it left fist and punching it in the face. The sin punched Brandon in the chest as well, stretching out his hands and putting them together a loud soundwave that caught Brandon off guard. Before the sin could finish Brandon off, Frank's head came into view, directly in front of the daemon, his mouth wide open with a tiny ball of licht energy conjured in it. The licht energy fired, bouncing of the sin's skin like a pebble on a stone wall.

"Flamme Boots; Boots of Hermes." Rachel said. Wings appeared on the sides of the boots as large gusts of wind blew behind her. In a millisecond, Rachel was in front of the sin, landing a blow in its solar plexus. The sin was sent flying of the ship only to see Rachel in front of it again, catching a glimpse of the metal gloves she wore.

"Spiked gloves; Forge of Hephaestus." Rachel said with a smile, "1."

She instantly punched the sin's chest, cracking it.

"2."

She landed a second blow, cracking the side of the sin's head.

"3."

The sin braced itself, but the hit never came.

Rachel tumbled across the top deck, getting up to her feet instantly. Her rei, Arsenal of the Olympians was a very powerful rei. But it also drained her real fast.

"Can you go again?" Brandon asked.

"No." Rachel cried, "I can barely feel my legs, we have to retreat."

"NO!" Brandon yelled, "We're killing this daemon, right here right now!"

"We'll die!"

"If you want to run, that's fine. But I'll kill it!"

Rachel grunted, activating her boots again. Whatever this guy was doing, he better have a plan.

The sin landed on the deck again, looking round. Snickers could be heard from the mouths all over its body. Then, it began to heal, the cracks and injuries sealing up.

"What?!!" Rachel cried in shock.

"Damnit!" Frank grit his teeth. The only kind of daemon that could heal was a daemon that had not evolved. Even those, their regeneration was weak and slow. Fully evolved daemon could not heal. It had never happened before. Not even for a sin or a phantom for that matter. Heck daemon that had now started entering their white phase couldn't even heal. But this.

Brandon tightened his grip around his weapon, ready to strike. They had to kill it. There was no other alternative in his mind right now. Even if they took all night, Brandon was determined to kill the sin. And if he was dying, then he'd take the sin with him.

An eerie screeching sound caught their attention, including the sin. High above the sky, a ring of yellow light appeared, with four symbols marking four corners of it. Instantly, a red ball appeared in the center of it and dropped onto the ship's top deck.

The ball liquified, slowly rising up and forming a skeletal like body, a hole in its body with a ball of blue light in its center.

Klaus Alderwolf had officially joined the fight.
