Chapter 3 *A Simple Robber*

(Shows a first person view of a boy looking up from the ground at a man holding a ruler in his hand.)

???: "Reo, I told you, you can't make a sound while sneaking past me. Now you have to be punished."

(The man raised the ruler up and slammed down on the kid cutting to pitch black. Reo jumps up out of his bed. He's shirtless with sweatpants on. He breathes heavily as he stands there. He looks around his room and starts to walk out of his room. He walks in the living room and sees Selene sleeping on the couch. He walks to the kitchen and makes some coffee. As he waits for it to heat Selene wakes up.)

Selene: "O-oh, hey. Thanks again, for letting me stay here. It's just being a hero doesn't pay that well."

Reo: "I know, it's the only salary I live off of."

Selene: "Yeah, what are you making for breakfast?"

Reo: "I'm making me a cup of coffee. You make yourself something, this isn't a bed and breakfast.

Selene: Uhhhhh, fiiine. Let me wake up first."

Reo: "Just hurry it up. We gotta go out early looking for that Kaen guy and maybe we could find other stuff to do. I just know I'm behind on rent and if I don't get paid a lot on my next paycheck, we'll both be evicted."

Selene: "Oh, well then I'm gonna make some toast, and we can head out."

(They eat their breakfast, get dressed and Reo brings his sword, then they head out to the city. They walk around looking for anything they could do that would make them money, but so far nothing.)

Selene: "This sucks. There's no crime out today."

Reo: "Who knew no crime would be bad."

Yui: "Maybe that's because of me."

(Yui jumps from a building and lands behind them.)

Reo: "Damn it Yui. What did you do?"

Yui: "Please Reo. I go by Kyoko around the city. I don't want anyone to know my secret identity."

Reo: "Uh, who cares about secret identities. Me and Selene use are real names, because we don't care who knows."

Selene: "Weeellll, Selene isn't my real name. It's my hero name."

Reo: "Damn it Selene. What's your real name then?"

Selene: "I can't tell you. Then my secret identity would be out. I can't let that happen."

Reo: "You're not wearing a mask of any sort to hide your identity, and why do you care if I know. We live in the same apartment room."

Yui: "Living t-together. Are y-you t-two, d-d-d-dating."

Reo and Selene: "No!"

Yui: "Oh, well it's not like care, but I think it's cool to have a hero name Selene. You don't have to tell Reo your real name if you don't want to, he's just a grump."

Reo: "Shut up."

Yui: "Well I better be off. I have to go stop more bad guys from being bad, Bye Reo. Nice meeting you, Selene."

Selene: "Nice meeting you too, Kyoko."

(Selene and Yui waved at each other goodbye, while Reo was happy she was gone. He was kinda hoping Yui would take Selene with her.)

Selene: "She's nice."

Reo: "No she isn't. Now let's go."

Selene: "Where?"

(Reo pointed up the building they were standing next to.)

Reo: "Up."

(They climbed up the building. Reo using is electricity to run fast up the side, and Selene using her wind to gently fly up there.)

Selene: "Now what?"

Reo: "We keep lookout until something happens."

Selene: "Well, that might be what they did back in your day grandpa, but nowadays, we look on our phone for everything."

Reo: "I'm only twenty."

Selene: "And I'm nine-teen, making you a century older than me."

Reo: "Oh, I hate you so much."

(Selene pulled out her phone and looked at the news.)

Selene: "Some electric dude escaped an insane asylum, oh wait that was a few days ago. An eight-teen year old girl killed a bunch of people and vanished, oh two weeks ago. I should refresh. I'm getting old news."

Reo: "I wanna beat you so bad right now."

Selene: "A bank robbery is in progress right now. Villain powers are unknown. It's not far from here. Cops surrounded the place, but the villain has hostages."

Reo: "Bank robbery, cops can't do anything, and hostages? This is gonna make us a lot of money. Finally you're useful."

Selene: "Thank you?"

Reo: "Let's go."

(They both head to the bank, Reo using his electricity to run faster and Selene using her wind to fly through the air. When they get there, there are cops all over the place. Reo talks to one of the cops.)

Reo: "We're heading in."

Cop: "Heroes finally, well be careful. We know nothing about these villains and they're making sure they don't use their powers, at least not in front of us."

(Reo and Selene head to the top of the bank.)

Selene: "Ok, what's the plan."

Reo: "Use your lighting to break through the roof."

Selene: "Ok, then what?"

Reo: "Then we beat up everyone and we win."

Selene: "That's not a plan."

Reo: "Yeah it is. I just planned it."

Selene: "No, we know nothing about these villains. What if they have really strong powers."

Reo: "Then we beat them up harder. I don't think you understand how strong my power is."

Selene: "I don't. How strong is it?"

Reo: "Watch and see."

(Reo then jumps in the air and pulls out his sword from his back. He then uses his electricity to make him spin really fast. Then he points the sword at the roof and drills through. Selene stares at a big hole he just made in the roof of the bank. Reo lands in the middle of the bank. On one side there are hostages, with two guys with machine guns. On the other side are three guys, two with bags of money and one with nothing, he looks like the leader. Reo then goes full electric mode and goes for the two with the gun.)

The Leader: "Shoot him!"

(The two with the guns shoot at Reo. Reo uses his sword to slice all the bullets as they come to him. When he gets close to the two he jumps up and in the air and slams the handle of his sword on the head of the first guy with a gun, knocking him out. Then he slices the second guy's gun in two. Then kicks that guy in the gut launching him across the bank onto the one of the guys with money.)

The Leader: "Kill him already."

(The second guy with money throws the money on the floor and points both of his hands and Reo. Then he starts shooting laser beams out of his hands. Reo, still in full electric mode, dodges these beams while running around the bank. With each dodge he gets closer to the laser guy, until he's close enough to jump over him and when he's behind him, he uses his electricity to do an electric punch to the laser guy's back, Launching him to the other side of the bank, slamming him against the wall knocking him out. Reo looks down to where he launched the second gun guy towards the other money guy. He then only sees the guy he launched knocked out cold, but the other guy is nowhere to be seen.)

The Leader: "That's it, now you die for real."

Reo: "Let's see."

(Reo then charges at the leader, but the leader stomps his foot on the ground which causes the ground to shake making Reo stumble to the ground. He looks up to see a foot hitting him in the face. The leader kicked him, making him fly across the bank and hitting the wall.)

(He falls to the ground spitting up a little blood. A stream of blood is flowing from his head down to his right eye.)

The Leader: "Ha, to think I thought you'd be tough."

(Reo grabs his sword in his right hand and stands up. He looks at the leader and moves his sword in an upright slashing position.)

The Leader: "What, did you hit your head that hard. You won't hit me from there with a sword,

haha."

(Reo moves the sword back and with all his might he slashes the sword and a slash of electricity comes out and hits the leader, shocking him, making him fall to the ground. The leader spazzes out and as the electricity course through him. Reo walks over him and looks down at him.)

Reo: "Hit you."

The Leader: "Y-y-you st-st-st-stupid h-hero."

(The leader smashes the ground with his left fist making a rock come out and throws Reo across the room. Reo catches himself, but when he looks up the leader has a gun in his hand.)

The leader: "You can catch me, but you won't get all the hostages alive."

(He then points his gun behind him where the hostages are and he shoots. He hears the gun go off, but no screams, he then looks over and sees that the hostages are gone.)

Selene: "Sorry about that, I just didn't want them to get hurt in the battle."

(The leader then looks up and sees that Selene is using her wind to pull up the last hostage through the hole in the ceiling Reo made.)

Selene: "Sorry buddy, but it's over for you. You lose."

The Leader: "No, no, boss is gonna be so mad. No, no, noooooo!"

(The leader points his gun up at Selene and the last hostage she's helping through, but then his hand and his gun get covered by ice.)

???: "What part of 'you lose' don't you get."

(It then shows a girl. She has long light blue hair. She's wearing jean shorts, a light blue tank top, with a long blue button up over it)

Reo: "Oh, it's you."

???: "Hey big bro. How you are doing."

Reo: "Uhhhh, fine. I guess. Selene this my sister, Sara."

Sara: "Oh please call me Rei. At least right now, because it's my hero name and everything."

Selene: "Ok Rei."

Reo: "Whatever Sara. What are you doing here?"

Sara: "I came to see my bro, but then I heard about this thing so I thought it wouldn't hurt to save some people ya know, and then I found you here, because siblings think alike."

Reo: "Shut up and go help Selene. I'll take care of the villain."

Sara: "Ok brother, and are you alright, you look hurt."

Reo: "I'm fine, go help with the hostages."

Sara: "Ok."

(Reo gathers up the villains and takes them to the cops, who lock them up and take them to the police station a little farther away, because the one that was burned is still in construction. Selene and Sara let the hostages go and they do a report with some of the cops.)

Chief of police: "Thank you three, I'll make sure that this is in the books. Three heroes stopped a bank robbery."

Reo: "Thanks Sara, I was already pissed off about splitting the profit two ways, but three ways makes it so much better."

Sara: "No problem big bro. Anything I can do to help."

Selene: "He's being sarcastic."

Sara: "Oh yeah. I forgot he does that sometimes. He used to do it all the time when we were young, and then you left, and things got kinda boring around the house."

Reo: "Things sucked when I was there and don't go running around screaming about my backstory."

Sara: "Should I whisper?"

(Sara then puts her finger over her mouth.)

Reo: "Uhhh, I wish that was you being smart with me, but it was serious wasn't it."

(Sara nods her head up and down. Reo puts his hand over his face.)

Reo: "You're such an idiot."

Sara: "Sorry."

Reo: "Whatever. Let's go back to my place, so I can bandage up these scratches."

(They all go to Reo's apartment so he can get fixed up.)

(Reo looks in his bathroom as he puts bandages over on his head.)

Sara: "You have a nice place brother."

Reo: "It's not nice at all. I'm poor, and hopefully this bank robbery stuff will help pay for rent, and you're paying for rent."

Selene and Sara: "Ok."

Reo: "Sara, please tell me you just answered on accident, because I was talking to Selene."

Sara: "Well, I did come all the way out here. I said I was on my way to see you and got side tracked with the bank robbery, soo I don't have a place."

Reo: "Uhhhhh, why do things like this happen?"

Selene: "So Rei, we're gonna be roommates."

Sara: "Aw sweet, I call top bunk."

Reo: "There's no top bunk you idiot. It's a couch or floor."

Sara: "You don't have a bed in your house."

Reo: "I do, but it's mine."

Sara: "Come on. We're related, can't we share a bed."

Reo: "I don't think there's a word in the dictionary that explains how much I hate that idea."

Sara: "Fine, I guess me and Selene can choose who gets what."

Selene: "I call the couch."

Sara: "Damn it."

Reo: "Ok you two, shut up already. Now we don't get paid until next week, and the only meal I have is ramen, so that's what we're gonna have for lunch today."

Sara: "Ooooo. I like ramen."

Reo: "Then make yourself some, because when we're done we're going right back out there, and fight more villains."

Selene: "Reo, aren't you hurt."

Reo: "I don't care if I lost a leg. My landlord wants his pay by next week, and if he doesn't get it. None of us will have a place to stay."

Selene: "Come on. You can't be in that much debt. How much money do you owe."

Reo: "Uhhhh, 1070300.000 Yen."

(Sara and Selene stare at him for a second)

Sara and Selene: WHAAAAAAAAT!

(Shows the man in the suit looking over the city on a roof, his arms behind his back, it is night. Out of thin air the second man with the money shows up behind him.)

Man in the suit: "Niko, how was the robbery."

Niko: "Bad, boss. Some heroes came in and defeated everyone. They stopped it all."

Man in the suit: "So you failed."

Niko: "Yes sir, but I am sorry, very sorry."

Man in the suit: "You were blessed with the power to hide, Niko. That's why I wanted you. You said your friend had a strong power, and I thought so too."

Niko: "I know sir I'm sorry."

Man in the suit: "You make me look bad, Niko and that makes me very angry. I'm already an angry person. How can I trust you if you couldn't do a simple robbery."

Niko: "I'm sorry, I am. I promise it won't happen again."

Man in the suit: "You're right, it won't."

(A shadow with dark red eyes appears behind Niko. It slits his throat with his claws and Niko falls to the ground and bleeds out.)

Man in the suit: "Some are blessed with power, others blessed with intelligence, but you can't

have both."
