Tracy gazed admiringly upon the picture of her back that Alex had taken. Dispite being new and still healing, it was evidently beautiful. It had been worth very ounce of pain. Suddenly the door burst open, revealing a breathless Vee. She grinned and headed over to inspect Tracy's back. Her eyes widened in delight, a smile forming on her face.
"Wow, So beautiful!" she exclaimed.
"Thank you so much!," Tracy turned to Lin Che.
"It was a pleasure," she replied, her eyes gleaming with pride, almost too much pride...
Alex paid her for the tattoo then they were on their way. Waiting for them in the car were some burgers and fries. Tracy's tummy growled as the smell whifted towards her nose. They entered the car and dug in vigorously, while Vee drove them to the club.
"This is heaven itself, I swear. I haven't eaten all day!," she exclaimed, bitting into the beef burger. The patty was soft but chewy at the same time. She moaned softly as the flavors mingled with her taste buds. She could not get enough of the scrumptiousness melting onto her tongue.
" Well I did say we'd get you filled up, you need the energy for tonight because it's about to get Wiiiilddd," Vee laughed.
There was silence in the car for a while as everyone munched on their burgers. Soon they'd all finished and were nearing Club Venus. Vee parked the car a few feet away from the club and they all got out.
They had parkway outside, where a line was snaking through down the street. The crew confidently walked up to the front where a built bouncer was checking IDs. He looked down at them, raising a dark eyebrow.
"Line ends at the back," he said in a disinterested voice then went back to what he was doing. Max put a hand into his pocket and flushed a white card at the man. The bouncer immediately straightened up and gestured for them to enter.
The club was dimly lit with blood red light. Youngsters of all shapes and sizes danced to the upbeat song playing.
There was an array of colorful hair, multi-styled clothing and every type of dancing imaginable. They girls immediately headed over to the bathroom while the guys went to go get drinks. The ladies' room was packed with girls chattering whilst retouching their makeup. In the corner was a dark haired girl who was bawling her eyes out, mascara running down her cheeks. A curly haired girl was hugging her and whispering something to her.
"Seems like a cool place. We still have to see how good the drinks are though," Vee muttered while she applied more mascara onto her lashes. She pouted at the mirror and added more lipstick.
"This good? I'm trying to go for a more natural look,"She fluttered her lashes. Tracy looked away from her reflection and glanced at her.
" Yes, you look gorgeous.I know someone who agrees with me, "she smirked, touching up her lipstick.
Vee swallowed," W-who?, "
Tracy winked," You know who, don't act so innocent,"
Vee started blushing profously, getting redder by the second.
" N-no its not like that, "she stuttered, looking down to hid her flaming cheeks.
" C'mon we both know you like him. He is nothing like Marcus, he'd never betray you," Tracy said, hugging her small friend. Vee clung tighter to her, savoring her soft hug, she finally pulled away after a moment.
"I know.. I'm just not sure about him, I don't wanna ruin a beautiful friendship. I doubt he likes me in that way,"she sighed.
" You'll never know unless you try. You deserve some happiness in your life, and I know Max would do his best to ensure that you're always smiling,"Tracy reassured her.
" I guess so, we'll talk about this later. We need to get going though,I'm pretty sure the guys are downing shots already, "They both laughed and made their way. They found the guys downing down one shot after another," The girls glanced at each other and smirked.
"Easy tiger," Tracy said, patting Alex's shoulder. He smirked, eyes twinkling with a tinge of tipsyness.
"Shut up and join us," he laughed, handing her a light turquoise drink. She swung her head back and downed it, the sour taste filling her mouth and a familiar warmth began in her tummy.
"Hey, have you asked where she is yet," Vince asked.
Tracy blinked and took out her phone, she was about to text her when a force crashed into her from behind, knocking the wind out of her. Next thing she knew, she was being hugged so tightly.
"I..can't..breath,"she managed to let out.
" Oops, sorry I got carried away, " a familiar voice said, releasing her. Tracy screamed and hugged her best friend tightly. Both girls were screaming and jumping around like little girls. When they finally let go,Macy hugged the rest of the crew, everyone's eyes were bright with elation. Soon she'd joined them and they were drinking the night away.
"Let's hit the dance floor," Macy screamed. Everyone hopped off their stools and they all began dancing. Tracy's head was filled with pure light and fuzzyness. She began dancing, losing herself in the beat.
For a while, there was nothing but her and the music. Nothing else mattered, not school, not sadness, not the gaping emptiness in her heart, just pure blissful music. She looked around at the bodies moving around her, so alive and vibrant with electrifying youth. One day she'd look back on this day and remember not their faces, but the the way the air pulsed around their quick limbs. And she'd be glad that she she'd been alive, if only for a few hours at a time.
A slow song came on and she found herself in Alex's arms. His heart was beating frantically from dancing during the previous song. He felt calm and tranquil in his arms, and the world stood still. The song playing was Wicked Game by Three Days Grace, one of her favorites. She rocked in tune to it, his hands encircled on her waist.
"You look beautiful tonight," he whispered into her neck.
She blushed.
"Thank you Lex, being here with you tonight made this night extra special,"
"Mayo sertse(my heart)," he whispered, entangling his fingers into her hair.
"You are so sweet,"she smiled, breathing in his enticing scent.
" Only for you, for you I'd climb mountains, fight the gods and wreck havoc, " he said in his sexy velvety voice.
" For you I'd do that and more, " she replied, kissing him gently.
They parted after a while, then they looked into each other eyes.
"I've been wanting to say this for a while," Alex started. She nodded for him to preceded.
"I love you,"
