THIRTY-FIVE
Charlotte pushed me towards Ivan and I really had no choice than to say something or I'd look weird.
Yes, she is now Charlotte! Char was for when she was my best friend, always on my side but now, she's replaced me with Ivan.
"Hi". I smiled awkwardly.
"Hi Wendy". He says, smiling as well. I wasn't sure what else there was to say. I looked up at Charlotte who mouthed to me "say something".
What do I say now, we were looking at each other and it was becoming even more weird. He looked like he was expecting me to say why I was here, so I blurted out "Let's go for a walk".
He seemed happy by my suggestion, Charlotte was smiling too, so I guess I didn't do so bad.
As we walked along the beach, the awkwardness slowly started to melt away. The gentle sound of the waves and the cool breeze made it easier to relax. We strolled in silence for a bit, the only sounds being our footsteps in the sand and the distant calls of seagulls.
