Foe, Not Friends

The:

Walking out of the interrogation room, I prepare myself for Swamp Thing. Knowing the big guy, and his whole 'green' thing, probably won't be too hard to convince him to join. Especially after he sees the same pictures I've shown Ivy.

Taking only one step toward him, I stop when I hear some screaming and some bowls hitting the ground.

"Oh no," I say, turning around and walking back to the dining hall. "I wonder who's dead."

Supergirl:

Screaming and falling back onto the ground, Dr. Crane slams his robotic hand against his steaming, red face!

"Dr. Crane," I scream, running over to help him up.

"You son of a bitch," Leonard screams, pulling from his side his cold gun. Firing it, a white and blue beam shoots toward Barry! However, moving fast, he runs out of the way, Leonard missing him completely. Running around the table, he charges right into Leonard, the two slamming into a wall with Barry grabbing and pinning Leonard against it!

"What are you going to do now," Barry yells, grabbing and tossing Leonard's cold gun away!

"This, you deadbeat," Leonard screams, his hands wrapping around Barry's head! Headbutting Barry, he stumbles back, letting go of Leonard. Leonard raises his hand, a bright light then appears in it from out of nowhere, blinding and forcing Barry even further back.

The light's dying down, a new cold gun is in Leonard's hand!

Asking how is the only thing Barry can say before Leonard hits and sends him flying across the room! His entire upper body trapped in ice, Barry looks up to see Leonard standing over him.

"Freeze," he says, "Regime."

White mist forming in the barrel, what looks like a metal whip wrap around the barrel! Pulling it out of the way in time, it hits and freezes the floor instead of Barry.

"What the hell," Leonard asks, turning to see Selina holding a whip in her hand.

"Cold," she starts, "Don't!"

"Don't tell me what to do," Leonard says, now aiming his gun at Selina. Squeezing the trigger, another white and blue beam travels from the cold gun toward Selina! Hitting her, a cloud of thick white smoke then blanket the whole room!

Inhale before using my super-breath, I blow all the smoke away. Once the smoke is gone and I can see everything again, I look around for Selina. To my surprise, 'The' is standing in front of Leonard, with one hand on his throat and his other hand holding the cold gun. Looking even further, I see that Selina is fine and not trapped in ice. Instead, what is trapped in a block of ice is one of 'The's' throwing knives.

"When I gave you this," 'The' starts, looking Leonard in his face as he rise the cold gun for him to see, "This isn't what I had in mind."

Crushing the cold gun with his bare hand, 'The' then drops Leonard, Leonard falling onto his knees and gasping for air.

The:

Looking around my dining hall, I see a half-frozen Flash on the ground, bowls of soups spilled everything, and my table tossed over.

"Okay," I say, lowering my head and sighing. "I know I'm going to regret this, but if I don't, then I'm also going to regret it. What the heck happened here?"

"Cold and Flash tried to kill each other and then, Cold tried to kill a few more of us," Harleen answers, "The story ends with you appearing out of thin air and strangling Cold."

"Yes," I say, rubbing my chin. "Yes. Yes. One quick question, however. When exactly in the Cold trying to kill everyone part did my dining table get completely turned over?"

Shrugging her shoulders, I shake my head.

Hearing a faint moaning, I stop with the shaking and follow the sound. Finding its source, a doctor on the ground with a steaming face, I drop to my knee and begin the examination.

"Son of a," I say, slowly pulling the doc's hand back and seeing his red face. "You okay?"

Groaning at first, one eye closed, he smiles and answers with a shaking thumb-up.

"Don't worry. It hurts, but it won't scar."

Looking at Kara as she kneels beside him, I ask what happened. Hesitate to answer, she turns toward the half-frozen 'superhero' on the ground. Nodding my head, I walk over to the bastard.

Grabbing and picking him up with one arm, I use my other arm to punch Flash hard across the face. Screaming after I hit him, he turns back to me and tries to yell something, but I slap him again before he can.

Still time, I hold him at arm's length. Putting much power into my final punch, I sent it flying into Flash's chest, the blow not only shattering the ice but also sending Flash flying across the room into a wall, cracks in the wall forming behind him before falling to the ground.

"What in the living hell," Harleen yells, her yell echoing throughout the room. "What did you do? Barry, are you okay?"

Holding his chest, breathing hard, he looks at Harleen and opens his mouth. Trying to say something, he groans instead, clutching his chest and looking down.

"Don't worry," I shout, rubbing my wrist. "He'll be fine. I've taken worse to the head, and here I am, still standing."

Walking over to him once again, I grab and pin him against the wall.

"Don't," I whisper, meeting his red-filled graze. "Don't do that again."

"I was about to say the same thing," Cold says from the other side of the room. Resting on his knees at first, he pulls himself up.

"Don't do that again," I say, pointing at Cold and at the mess. "Both of you, knock it off. Now! Listen, you two don't have to be BFF or anything like that, but you do have to work together long enough for us to take down Superman and his One Earth government!"

Supergirl:

Barry, still clutching his chest and breathing heavily, looks at Leonard. 'The', shaking his head, slams Barry against the wall and then, using two fingers, hits him once again in the chest. Only, instead of hurting him, it seems to somehow heal him.

Breathing normally now, he looks down at his chest, before looking back at 'The'.

"Your welcome," 'The' says, crossing his arms.

"Your welcome," Barry starts, standing straight up now. "You are so very welcome for forcing me to work with him and even worse, him!"

Pointing at Dr. Crane, Barry turns to look at me.

"What are you talking about," I ask.

"Dr. Crane is Jonathan Crane, aka, the Scarecrow!"

"Don't call me that," Dr. Crane yells, getting up but falling back down a little. Moaning, he places his hand over his face again.

"Wait," I say, thinking it over. "The Scarecrow! I remember that name!"

Looking at Dr. Crane, I step back.

"Scarecrow is the man who poisoned Superman and made him kill Lois," Barry yells, pointing a finger at the doctor. "Scarecrow is the man who started all of this! All of this is your damn fault!"

The:

Seeing the tears fill Kara's eyes, her teeth grind against each other, and her fists slowly closing, I then see the doc stand up to Kara, the guy facing her.

"Are you," she starts, choking on the words. "Are you really Scarecrow?"

Sucking on his lips at first, he nods his head.

"Yes," the doctor answers, "Yes. I was Scarecrow, but not anymore."

Hearing a chuckle, I stab the freaking loudmouth with the bend of my arm.

Raising her fists, the doc closes his eyes and looks away. Taking a step toward him, everything stops when we all hear a beeping sound.

Focusing and pinpointing the source of the beeping, I turn back to Flash.

"Your waist is flashing," I say, pointing. Following my finger, Flash sees what it is and pulls out the radio, the antenna flashing between red and green.

"Hello," he answers, putting it close to his face. "Hal? What's wrong?"

"What's wrong," Green Lantern replies on the other end, "What's wrong is where are you! I'm here in Gotham and there's an entire army of yellow lanterns here! Where are you!"
