Frost Verglas

Third Person's P.O.V.

"Tomorrow is the day. Are you sure you're doing this? Your life is at risk!" Frost expressed, looking at Quinn with a worried face. They were sitting in the bed, while Luminos was on top of Quinn, as usual.

"I'm totally fine. Even though only a week has passed, I leveled up. Also, I spent my whole week in intense training, so don't worry about me. Besides, you and your whole staff will be also there right beside me. There's nothing for you to worry about." Quinn stated but I smiled. Silence won around the entire room. When Frost finally dares to speak, he looked away from the eyes of Quinn.

"Say, do you know a thing about me?" Asked Frost. Then, Quinn's face and mind were now full of confusion. 'What's with the question?' He thought to himself.

"I know you're a kind and extremely handsome person." Quinn nonchalantly said. Then, both of them chuckled. After the chuckling, Frost suddenly looked at the floor, which made Quinn question what was happening. 'This is odd. Frost never looks away in a conversation.'

"I was abused," Frost said gloomily, his eyes suddenly turned pale as his body started to weaken. His heart was pounding really fast as sweat began to drip from his head to his face. He was scared. Thoughts began to pop from his mind. Quinn smiled.

"You know, you don't have to if you can't. I know we became really close to each other albeit we only met just a week ago. Opening about your past is a big step, even in close relationships, be it friends or lovers. Your past is the half of yourself. Opening up to someone that is not worthy is like giving a sword to someone. That human might save you, or on the other hand, kill you." Quinn stated, his face filled with his somehow calm smile. Little do Frost know, behind that gorgeous and soothing smile lies a dreadful past.

"I am prepared to take full responsibility for what I am about to do. I trust you. It's just that... I'm scared. I'm scared." Frost said, his hands and legs were shaking, his mind can't think clearly, and his eyes started to tear up. 'I see.' Quinn thought to himself.

"I don't know what you've been through, but I'm here for you. Celestine is also here for you. We are all here for you. We, especially me, are all ears. Your feelings are valid. I'm always here for you if you want to talk. Speak to me whenever you're ready." Quinn said, smiling at Frost as he looked him in the eyes.

Silence won around the room for almost a minute. Frost wiped his tears in his eyes. He looked at Quinn and then smiled. Somehow, Quinn's smile soothed his feelings down. His heart was now at a normal pace, and his mind can now clearly think. He sighed, courage started to build from inside.

"When I was three years old, my parents died. Since I have no one to run to, I decided to live with my grandfather. My grandfather was kind, intelligent, rich, and strong despite the fact he is old. Or so that's what I know for the first three days. He abused me. He was kind for the first three days, but after all that heaven-like treatment, it became hell." Frost explained.

"Every day, I was abused mentally and physically for a reason I don't know, saying that I'm a burden for not being able to sell illegal drugs. My parents never taught me to do anything evil, and that is the thing that I always remember." He said. Quinn was just standing there, not doing anything but listen with his heart and ears wide open.

"I was hit by whips, chains, metal things, and many more. I was also forced to clean the whole mansion just by myself at a given time. He forces me to sell illegal drugs for money, and if I failed the meet the quota, I won't be able to eat for a week. My grandfather also always says curse words to me, as well as really painful words, saying that if I am strong enough, my parents wouldn't have died and he would not carry a burden like me." Frost said.

"10 years of endless suffering and pain has passed, and I am finally a teenager. Little does my grandfather know, I am training myself physically when he is not paying attention to me. When I was about to sell illegal drugs, I took a big step in my life. I told the police what was happening, and that my grandfather is one of the top 7 suppliers of drugs in the whole world." He stated.

"This might sound funny, but until now, I still have this trauma about drugs. And every once in a while, I always dream about my past self, how I was abused. I'm scared. Time didn't heal what happened to my past. I am also extremely startled when someone tries to do harm to me, although they still haven't done anything to me." He said.

"Occasionally, I am also having trouble staying, if not falling asleep. I don't know what treatment, or even how can I be treated. I can't do anything. That's why when the Administrator's daughter started to make fun of my restaurant, even beyond more than that, I still don't do anything, firstly because I can't, and also because of the trauma of my past. Whenever I experience the abuse of the one who is making fun of me and my restaurant, my trauma suddenly comes back to my mind, making me defenseless." Frost explained.

Frost suddenly stopped talking when he saw the face of Quinn. He was startled, not because he thinks he is being judged, but because of what might happen to the Administrator herself and her daughter. His heart started to pound fast, but instead of being scared, he went near Quinn and hugged him besides.

Quinn's face that once was filled with intense anger and rage now became shocked. He looked at Frost who was hugging him while closing his eyes. He smiled, somehow innocent yet devil at the same time. The only thing that came to his mind was..... revenge.
