First Battle

As I walked towards the direction towards the Town of Finitt is, I first made a bow and arrows. I learned Archery when I was on my previous life, so I'm pretty confident that this journey isn't that much of a hassel. Or so I think it is. Right now, what lies in front of me is a Wolf. And on top of that, he's hungry.

Of all the things I should have encountered, a Wolf? A hungry, fierce wolf? What on Earth is this? I let out a deep sigh. Think calmly, Quinn. Think calmly. Escaping isn't the best choice to pick, since Wolves are faster than humans. Maybe, in this world, they are more faster. I also notice that this Wolf has long extremely sharp teeth. I think I've red about this in the handbook that the System gave to me.

Monsters in the forest might come out sometimes. This is because sometimes, they can escape without the guards noticing. Or maybe the guards are too lazy. Most of the time, Vampire Wolves come out. Occasionally, other monsters such as Lizardman/Lizardmen and various other beasts come out. Though it is only occasional, it is still dangerous when going from town to town, since they aren't at the top of priority list.

In front of me is a Vampire Wolf, known for it's extremely sharp teeth. It uses it's brisk reflexes and fight with it's extremely sharp and hard teeth. The only weakness of a Vampire Wolf is..... sunlight. Of course. That's why it cannot attack me because I am at sunlight. As long as I touch sunlight, I am safe.

Hmmm. I want to test out my Skill <Golem Creation>. Better slay this Vampire Wolf for my experimantation. Don't worry. Your evil deeds will be repayed. Also, your death won't be in vain, and I will use my authority — if I have any chance to kill you, that is — for your cruel desires be stopped. Well, I can kill you if I'm in this position anyways. It's freestyle you know?

I gain position, my left leg bended while my right leg stretched, holding my bow. I took a piece of arrow, placed it in my bow, and then aimed it to my enemy, the Vampire Wolf. I focused myself as I held my bow, my left arm stretching the string attached to the bow, while holding the arrow at the same time, and my right hand holding the wooden bow.

I let out a deep sigh, and then released the string I am holding upon the ferocious beast. The arrow's speed was about 3 meters per second, since my bow was faintly made, due to me lacking the materials to build a good one. The arrow traveled slow, but as it hit the beast's head, it did a bit more damage than I thought it could be.

The arrow slightly pierced through the Vamipre Wolf's head, but it ain't gonna do nothing, or else it will be killed not by me, but by itself. Lucky! I'll just hit him with a bit more arrows and I'm good to go! I took another arrow and hit the Vampire Wolf, and repeated until I killed it. Then, a *Ting* sound was heard by me. A transparent screen poped up in front of me out of thin air.

[You have gained A new Skill!]

[Skill <Archery (Level: 1) (Passive)> has been obtained!]

[<Archery (Level: 1) (Passive)>: Ability to use bow and arrows at ease. As this skill levels up, the ability to use the said weapon will be strengthened.]

Ohh. I'm not that surprised though, since I am pretty much used to this thing. I practiced it everyday, that's why. I'm pretty sure that this will level up easily, but, besides that, there is still another screen that popped up in front of me.

[You have succesfully killed a Vampire Wolf!]

[Experience Points have been obtained!]

[Enough Experience Points have obtained to level up from Level 1-Level 2!]

[You have gained 5 Ability Points!]

Hmmmm. I think I will decide about the AP {Ability Points} later. What I'm more concerned about is my survivability in this world. What if the town I'm going in is full of rude and mean people? What if the town is soon going to be attacked by monsters? What if the townspeople doesn't welcome others?

*Sigh*

My head is full of what-ifs. I hope I'm not overthinking about things. Think about the brighter side, Quinn. Be calm. Clear your mind. Negate all the negatvity. Think wiser. Think calmer. I let out a deep sigh, and smiled. I again started walking, and then stopped at where the Vampire Wolf's dropped Items are. Instead of something, there was nothing. Not until antoher transparent screen popped in front of me again.

[Would you like to keep the Item?]

[Yes] [No]

"Yes." I said, tapping the [Yes] button. The screen then disappeared. Items such as the head of the Vampire Wolf I just killed then appeared. I was in great shock. I pinched myself in the cheek..... It hurts. This is definitely not a dream. Let's just head to the town already! I'm getting irritated now that I'm always distracted by little things.

But before that, I would like to test my <Golem Creation> Skill. How am I supposed to create on again? Ohh. Okay. I concentrated my Mana at my left hand, aimed at the Vampire Wolf's head, while suddenly, light started to come out from my hand.

"Rise up, my Golem." I stated, the light that I was emitting earlier then began to fade. When the light completely vanished, a Vampire Wolf appeared in front of me, but with one difference. Earlier, it's fur color was black, but right now, it's color is silver.

Okay. That is.... fantastic. I've always dreamt to have something fluffy that I can pet. And right now, that dream came true.

"You have succesfully made your first Golem! This Golem will be loyal to you until death. You can also see it's Attributes!"
