Evan couldn't stop drinking after the first drop touched his tongue. He was absolutely disgusted with himself, but he knew he needed it. He drank a third of the water in the pot before pulling himself away, gagging profusely.
His face was a wet mess. His hair was stringy, greasy, and plastered to his face, but he could finally get a good look around. The pain in his stomach had subsided a little bit as well.
Evan finally looked down at his body for the first time. He was drastically disappointed. Small, frail, sickly pale, and bruised. He recognized this body. This is what he looked like after his parents had started using drugs. This made Evan look around the house much closer.
The house was spotless clean. Despite the cleanliness of the home there was a putrid smell of body odor and musk. You could tell that the house is almost always shut and barely anyone leaves, it was a still air smell. When he looked a little bit closer, he could find shards of a reddish glass looking material in the creases of the wooden floorboards.
Drugs. Right back into another hell hole. He had already escaped this life once and he got dragged right back into it.
'Great, I'm in the body of a 4-year-old. I can't work, I'm in a third world country, and I'm going to get my ass beat for at least another 4 years before I can try to get out.' Evan was flabbergasted as this turn of events. He broke down a little bit and just laughed at the situation.
[Task Completed- Save your life.]
[Successfully saved your life. As a reward, 10 attribute points will be allotted to you for distribution into personal stats.]
'Personal Stats?' Evan questioned in his mind.
The moment that thought crossed through his mind he had a small holographic window appear in front of him, looking just like an interface for an R.P.G. character.
[Programing format chosen. Personal attributes displayed.] The robotic voice sounded in his head.

'What is this thing?' Evan thought in amazement.
[Program created through Omega Industries has been given the prime objective to take over basic instincts and slowly integrate emotion and memory control to new parts of the brain. Basic instinct of host is to thrive in life. Due to irreparable damage to previous body, prime objective was changed to saving host. After host was saved through partial integration of programing, the original protocol took primary placement. New body has no damaged pathways in brain causing new main objective to switch to hosts primary instinct. Hosts primary instinct is to thrive in life. Programing has processed the most appropriate form of action is to gain strength, and improve life based on merit.]
'Okay it seems as if this thing can talk back to me. The robotic voice creeps me out though.' Evan was dealing with this all pretty well, but after dying and coming back to life anything seems pretty mild. Not to mention that it made sense since the part of his brain they replaced basically controlled his basic instinct.
'Hey what can I call you?' Evan tried asking the voice.
[Programing name is the Amygdala Replacement System, named by Omega Industries CEO Jeremy Downs.]
'Wow, that's a bad name. How about Killer Instinct System?' Evan asked hopefully.
[Host may choose to change name at any time upon request. I am placed here as a tool to drive your primal natures.]
Evan had a small geek out moment. Killer Instinct was one of his favorite games growing up. There isn't any connection, but he still loved the name.
'How do I fully integrate the system then?' Evan now wanted to know why these things were locked. One was obvious but the other one had him confused.
[Full integration can be completed after host's body is healthy enough to spare the energy required to finish integration. System also needs to replenish energy lost for transmigration.]
'Okay, place 5 points into stamina, 2 points into agility, and the last 3 into strength.' Evan had thought that making his stats well rounded would be best. But right now, he needed to get healthy and that was going to take strength and stamina to work. 'Show me my stats when finished.'

Evan could Immediately tell the difference. He felt twice as strong and no longer felt like his muscles were screaming every time he moved.
'Wow, I feel amazing. Well, apart from that empty feeling in my gut.' Evan was reveling in the feeling of strength that hit him the moment he allotted his attribute points.
Now with the pain and weakness taken care of, Evan could finally really take a detailed look at his house. He started with the bookshelf. On it were only two books and they looked quite used and tattered. The spines were creased from sitting open for long periods of time, and the edges of the paper were all frayed, proving how many times those pages have been flipped through.
He picked up the larger of the two and read the cover. "Introduction to Alchemy" was written in another language that he seemed to already be able to read. He opened the cover to read the first page, and in large sloppy handwriting was the words "PROPERTY OF FILMEN FREEDMAN". As he read these words, something clicked into his memory, the memories of the original body.
[Integrating bodies memories into host. Please stand by.]
The robotic voice of the K.I. System sounded in Evan's mind as he felt a cool prickling sensation enter his mind. Slowly 4 years of memories were seamlessly melting into his own memories.
'How can the system do thi-.' Evan stopped in the middle of the question. He remembered that one of the main functions before was to deal with memories. Then this should be easy with a fully functional brain.
Evan started searching the memories and found out that his parents here were once regarded as genius students on their way to progeny. When he was first born their lives were fantastic. His father, Filmen, was an Advanced D rank Warrior, which was incredibly strong. His Alchemist level was quite high as well, being an Advanced F rank Alchemist. This was unheard of at the young age of 29. His mother, whose name is Anna, was much weaker only being an Intermediate F rank Warrior, but she was a Forger who had amazing potential. His mother is only 26 and she is already an Advanced C rank Forger.
Along with, who his parents are and what they do, he also understood what kind of world he as living in. He didn't know whether it should be classified as magic or what. The only thing he could think was unbelievable. This world was full of incredibly strong people. The average man on Earth would struggle to lift 120 pounds, yet here that was the average strength of a child. Evan himself could now lift a little more than that with his 5 points of strength he could lift about 150 pounds with ease, about 200 being his limit. This means that each point of strength allows him about 40 pounds of increased lifting
