GLAM TIME

3 days later.

Katherine's call woke me up at 8:30 am,She called to tell me to meet them in front of the mall by 9.

"Kath,I literally just woke up",I said in a sleepy voice.

"So?30 minutes is more than enough time",I could imagine her rolling her eyes.

"Fine I'll be there by 10".

"Fine hurry up wait what",I smirked when I heard her shrill voice.

"I swear to God Vanessa rose if you come 1 minute later than 9 I will hang you on the flag pole in front of the mall",She screamed into my ear and I laughed,I could literally see the veins on her neck popping out.

"Im just messing with you kath",i said and she sighed.

"Just hurr-".

I cut her off,"But since you kept me talking for about 5 minutes can I get there by 9:05?"I smiled to myself and waited for her response but instead I heard a click.

I removed the phone from my ear and the screen lit up,she had hung up on me.The time was 8:37 am,I got up,my steps faltered a bit but I caught myself.I went to the bathroom and spent 9 minutes in there,I already had an outfit picked.

I left my room by 8:50 and made my way to the kitchen,I looked around,there was nothing readily available to eat so I decided to get something to eat at the mall.

I'm grateful there's a bus stop near my house,I had 10 minutes more.I walked quickly so i wouldn't miss the bus,I got to the bus stop by 8:54 and the bus arrived by 8:56,I had only 4 minutes to get to the mall. Thankfully the road was free,by 9:03 the bus pulled up in front on the mall and I was a bit scared to come down because I spotted Katherine at a distance taping her foot on the sidewalk.

I gulped and made my way to the front,I aid the driver and alighted.I tried to sneak through the back but it was too late,Katherine was already starring daggers into my soul.I managed an awkward smiley face and made my way to her.

"I had diarrhea",I blurted out without thinking.

She rolled her eyes at me,"Let's go madame Claudie is waiting".

"Diarrhea",she said under her breath and stifled a laugh and I smiled.

When we entered the store,I saw Diane and Lisa on couch arguing about something.My eyes went wide,how are they so early?

I looked to my side and Katherine had disappeared.

Lisa noticed me and motioned me to come over with her fingers.When I got closer,she asked.

"TVD or Twilight?".

I wasted no time in answering,"TVD of course,Salvatore brothers supremacy".

Diane gave us a look that screamed *I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GUYS*

"How can you guys prefer Damon to Edward"She said,her nerves were ready to pop.

"Its simple,we don't like men who sparkle under the sun,like what was that!"Lisa said aggressively.

"Yeah i agree,it was really giving Tinker bell vibes",I said with the straightest face I could muster."And let's face it TVD's plot made more sense than that of Twilight andddddd the men were just so unnecessarily hot",I feigned like I was about to faint.

"In conclusion it was just so unrealistic and the way people gobbled it up was unbelievable" Lisa and I said in unison and I gave her a high five.

Diane huff and crossed her arms.

"Okay guys come on",Katherine called for us as she poked her head through a curtain.Lisa and I had to drag Diane up as she was still mad at us,we went through the curtains and WOW.

The curtains led to a room,it was so beautiful with 5 mirrors and several dresses hanging from mannequins like a museum showcase,Kath and madame Claudie were at the center of the room.

We were looking around in awe and with 2 claps of her hand madame Claudie got our attention"Come on girls there's no time to waste".

Oh right how silly of me,I forgot to mention that today is the RETZ BALL,that's why Katherine woke me up in the morning and rushed me.We still have to shop for shoes and then we have to get our makeup,hair and nails done.

We would have gone shoe shopping in the last 3 days,but the girls were busy helping out with the planning of the ball,apparently humans can't help quote unquote.

"Nessa-red,Lisa-blue,Diane-liliac.Chop chop,hurry and try them out"Katherine said and started removing her black dress on the mannequin,I and the girls walked towards our dresses and started doing the same.

After getting in a full on fight with the mannequin,I managed to get my dress off it and proceeded to put it on.I took off my clothes only leaving my underwear on.

Madam Claudie had to help me because my dress had a corset waistline,after much heaving,pulling of strings,sweating and yelling of cuss words I was finally in the dress and to be very honest!

"I LOOK GORGEOUS",I screamed as I looked at myself in the mirror,my face was beginning to form a red hue because I was smiling from ear to ear.It felt like the dress was made especially for me,wait hold on,it was made especially for me.

I heard the girls gasp behind me and I turned around,did a swift turn and a regal bow and they bowed back.They look breathtakingly stunning as well,Diane in a liliac gown would have all the men begging to dance with her,Lisa in a blue dress would have everyone and everything gossiping about her non stop and my oh my,Katherine in a black dress would have all the men lusting after her.

"You guys look so amazing",I complemented them.

"We know"they said in unison and I couldn't help the eye roll and the chuckle that came after.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and when I turned I came to face Madame Claudie,she was holding a crown decorated with rubies in her hand,she gestured for me to collect it and I did with shaking hands and a confused look.

"I don't understand madame".

"We had it in stock and I thought it'd look fantastic with your gown".

I gaped at her and she looked at my face and started laugh.

"What's with the face,you don't think its real do you"she asked in a fit of laughter.

"Yes",I stared at the necklace in awe.

"Well you're right,they are fake rubies"the humour suddenly vanished as she said with a serious face,the girls started laughing and I sighed.

We took off the dresses,madame Claudie had her girls help us pack them while we wore our outfits back.We thanked madame Claudie and left the store.

"So guys,its my turn we are going shoe shopping",Diane said and giggled excitedly like a pre schooler.

She took us a store named FOOTS,like what is it with this girl and enterprises with weird names,first was the Thailand restaurant and now this!!None of us said a word and followed her into the store,I guess it was because we knew deep down that Diane never goes wrong with footwear.

Inside the store,Diane went ahead to speak with the receptionist whilst we waited by the entrance like a group of teenagers who wanted to buy something sus.After conversing for a while,she motioned us to come over.The receptionist led us behind a curtain that led to a door which I assume is the manager's office and she left.

Diane knocked and a low voice from inside told us to come in,when we entered we were met with a blonde woman wearing thick rimmed glasses sitting on a couch by the side of the office,she looked to be in her 20's and her face lit up in recognition when she saw Diane,she immediately stood up to hug Diane.I took in her outfit and she was wearing something business casual and her nude pumps looked amazing.

"Diane,its been so long"She said as she released Diane from the bear hug she engulfed her in.

Diane chuckled,"I'm sorry,I've just been lazy to come to this side of town".

"Its fine sweetie",Her eyes diverted to us and she finally noticed us since we've walked in."And judging by the company you brought with you,I assume you need shoes for the ball?

"Yes in fact that is correct".

"Okay follow me ladies".

We followed her out of the office like lost sheep's,we passed through the receptionist area again and went through a door at the far end.This room was another paradise, shoes of different and beautiful colors arranged on several shelves.

"Okay girls,I'll need your shoe sizes".

Lisa went first,she wears size 39/40.The shoe lady then went behind a shelf to find her some light blue and white shoes in that size category.She came back a minute later with 5 pairs and told Lisa to try them on and pick the one she loves.

Diane went next,she wears the size 38/39.Again the shoe lady disappeared behind a shelf and brought out 3 pairs of white heels for Diane to try on and pick from.

I and Katherine came last,I wanted plain black heels and Kath wanted black with a touch of white.My shoe size is 37/38,don't laugh I'm embarrassed as it is,Katherine size is 39/40 same as Lisa's.

You know the drill,soon the shoe lady was back with 3 pairs of plain black and 3 pairs of black and white.

I tried on the first pair and it felt a little wobbly,the second pair fitted perfectly and I loved it so I didnt try the third pair on.We all had chosen our shoes and made our way back to the entrance.Again we stood like awkward teenagers clutching our shopping bags while Diane and the shoe lady said their goodbyes.

We left the store happy and elated.

"Okay I'm hungry",I said and clutched my stomach

"Oh so it was your stomach grumbling and complaining in the store"Katherine laughed and bumped into her side.

"Don't make fun of my hunger".

"Okay okay we'll go to the food court before going to get our makeup,hair and nails done",Kath said.

"Thank you"I said with a sigh and clutched my stomach.
