Chapter 22: Prison

"Yes, that reminds me of something. "

Quickly putting his hand in his pocket, captain menes pulls out a crystal the size of a small stone.

"I found this from the body of the zombie, and then I took it so it could be examined but I forgot. "

The group looked at the crystal on his hand and were attracted to it.

"What does it do? "

Peter was very curious about the crystal, it felt like it was useful to him in a certain way.

"I don't know, I wasn't able to exam it and with the way things are, I'm not sure that I should still give the base to do anything with it. "

Captain menes was still conflicted about the whole situation, less than a day ago, they were fighting together, now they are separating.

"So I want to give it back to you. "

He then passes the crystal to David.

David was stunned, the system only contacts him when there is a mission.

"What is wrong? "

The group was curious about what caused David to look stunned.

"Permission granted. "

David replied to the system with the same words said by a movie character.

Suddenly a level up, unlike other times it was just a flash of light and it was done.

"What was that? "

Seeing the flash of light, the group took some steps back.

"Sorry about that. "

David seeing the group scared apologizes.

"I think we need to leave before it gets too late and we cant see clearly. "

One of the soldiers remember they will have to start their journey and it will not be easy to travel in the dark.

"Okay, let's go. "

Knowing that they would want to stay longer, David makes the tough decision and makes them start they travel.

"Yes. "

Without any more delay, Davids and the six of them leave.

Ten minutes later.

"Do you know where we are going? "

The soldiers who followed David noticed that they were walking aimlessly.

"I originally was going to stay in the base and I hadn't thought I would leave so soon, so I did not come up with a plan. "

David agrees with them, except he doesn't know where the prison is, and with everything scattered, it is harder to find.

All of the soldiers know where the prison is.

"Then let's go. "

"Okay, but we must hurry. "

And more than thirty minutes later, they arrive in front of the prison.

The prison was totally different, blood painted the walls, body parts on the ground and there was actually a head in front.

"So, this is the base we will be staying in? "
