The Knight Barrack
Beatrice pondered for a moment, wondering if the sword imbued with divine power could truly defeat the Devil. She felt that the Devil was much stronger than any demon.
"I just had a nightmare about the Devil, lately…" said Beatrice, not wanting to reveal too much to the Queen.
The Queen let out a sigh. "Oh, I see. I thought that problem was already solved. You could ask the hero to solve it. I heard the two of you are close. Is that true, Beatrice?" She leaned in closer, more interested in the gossip between the two than Beatrice's curse.
Hearing the Queen talk about Gilbert made Beatrice's heartache. She could have asked him to defeat the Devil, but he was nowhere to be found. He had been avoiding her, and she didn't know why.
"Well, I don't want to burden the hero of this kingdom. Isn't he busy with the preparation for the expedition?" Beatrice asked, curious about Gilbert's whereabouts.
