Beatrice sat at her vanity, the morning light streaming through the window and casting a soft glow across her room. Her maid, Sophie, stood behind her, carefully brushing her long, honey-blonde hair.
Beatrice wore a flowing blue dress with delicate lace embroidery that fell gracefully to the floor. The fabric was soft and silky against her skin, and the light shade of blue complimented her complexion. She fidgeted with the pearl necklace around her neck, feeling a sense of unease.
Sophie noticed her discomfort and spoke up. "Is something the matter, milady?"
Beatrice took a deep breath before continuing, "I know it may sound silly, but with everything going on lately, I can't help but feel uneasy."
