Edward leaned in closer to Beatrice, his golden eyes gleaming with malice. "Now, Beatrice," he said, his voice low and menacing, "what will you choose?" As he spoke, he held out his hand, waiting for her answer.
Beatrice's face twisted with hatred as she spat in Edward's face. "I'd rather die!" she hissed.
Enraged, Edward backhanded Beatrice across the face with a vicious slap that sent her crashing to the ground. "How dare you, you lowly bitch!" he snarled. "I'm done treating you with kindness. You didn't deserve any of that!"
Reaching into his pocket, Edward withdrew a long, coiled whip. As he cracked it menacingly in the air, Beatrice scrambled to her feet, her eyes wide with fear.
"You brought this upon yourself," Edward spat, advancing on her with the whip. "You should have known better than to cross me."
