Chapter 10: You!

Next morning: Day 1 of the Paris trip.

Melanie had woken up a little early than her usual time, ok, whom am I kidding, a lot earlier than usual...

She had dressed in a blue hoodie paired with white pants. She brushed her hair and let it flow behind her in waves.

" I'm done." she smiled at her reflection in the mirror and opened the room door.

Two doors opened simuntaneously.

Melanie couldn't help but gawk at Brenden who stood in the opposite room's doorway. He looked exquisite in his formal black shirt and pants. The silver glasses gave him a mature charm.

' Well he looks good even if he has a shitty attitude!!' she sighed. ' What a tragic combination.' shaking her head dismissively at her sub-conscious, instantly.

Brenden controlled his urge to chuckle at her while she was drooling over him.

" Good morning, "

He greeted and ran his eyes from the top of her head to her feet and he said," Nice formals." seriously and left.

Mel stood there in a daze,confused" Formals?"

Just then Alex came over, looking at her weirdly," Why are you wearing these? aren't you supposed to wear formals today?"

Mel frowned fuming inside,' That geek! I'll never spare him for mocking me.' she groaned and went to change her outfit.

Louvre Museum, Paris :

" Where is it, what the...." Mel muttered to herself, as she searched for her camera in her backpack.

" What's wrong?" a voice asked from behind her.

Flustered, she turned around to find the silver glasses geek, standing with a camera in his hand.

"You!" she frowned, " What do you want?" she asked.

" Well, I think that 'YOU' need a camera," he said, passing the camera from his hand into hers.

Mel's heart warmed up after his actions and understanding but yet, she asked, a bit politely, totally unlike her, " Don't you want it?"

" I can travel to Paris every weekend, can you?" he asked, arrogance slightly lined in his tone.

" Humph, I was just being polite alright. You didn't have to flaunt your wealth." she snapped and left with the camera .

' Arrogant ass!!'

Brenden frowned,' Did I flaunt? never mind at least she took the camera. Wait, so that was her POLITE??'

Just then a small hand grabbed his hand and put a camera into it." You can take back your nasty camera." Mel snorted and left.

Brenden chuckled at her reaction .

' Little Melie is cute.'

'From when do I think that girls are cute??' he questioned himself. He was quite amused by this girl and her antiques.

Why? he didn't have an answer.

" Melanie can we perhaps have a talk?" a slender hand pulled her as she darted away from that geeky! irritating, annoying,

' urghh... never mind, he looks good. '

" What?" Mel asked as she broke out of her thoughts.

" I'm Scarlet, his fiancé," she introduced herself, pointing to Brenden.

' Wait, WHAT? Does he have a FIANCE already???? Do all my crushes have to have some stupid, 'humungous' problem? ALWAYS!?' Mel nodded keeping an expressionless face despite her stupid fury," Ok?"

" I just, never mind.." Scarlet brushed her off and left.

Mel saw Scarlet's retreating figure when she accidentally dropped her phone.

" Umm.... let me get it for you." Mel offered as Scarlet had worn a short dress and was struggling to pick it up, almost flustered.

Just as Mel picked the phone she got a call, Scarlet snatched the phone immediately, thanked her, and left.

Mel stood there shocked, ' Doesn't 'honey love' name suit a boyfriend or something like that? That's cute! Wait it wasn't that guy was it??' the most shocking thing for her wasn't the ID name but the picture for it. It had a dark-haired guy's picture, not Brenden's. But why?' Who was he??

" Hey sis, what's wrong?" Lucas called out" Wanna have some coffee?"offering.

She looked at him and smiled," Sure, why not?" she shrugged, forgetting the matter instantly.

' You shouldn't fret when you get free food!!! '
