After Help

Theodore looked around at the vegetables on the man's cart and there were many types of vegetables he was selling such as cabbage, spinach, and mustard greens. 

"Why do you want to sell them at a lower price?" asked Theodore, quite suspicious of the old man's intentions. 

The old man looked uneasy when he heard Theodore's question, he didn't know now if he should tell the young man the truth. 

Seeing how the old man hesitated to answer his question, Theodore frowned even deeper. 

"You better tell me the truth before you piss me off and do something bad here," Theodore replied with a smile on his face.

Although still hesitant, the old man finally let out a rough sigh. 

"Alright I'll tell you the truth. I need money right now to repair the road to my village and I haven't been able to sell my items since morning," explained the old man listlessly. 

"Are there still many vegetables like this and seeds in your village?" Theodore then asked. 

Although confused by Theodore's question, the old man just nodded his head slowly, not really expecting this young man to help him. 

"Then I'll buy all these vegetables of yours, just sell all the harvest of your village for me, of course at a cheaper price, how about it?" Theodore grinned happily. 

This way Theodore would save his expenses and only need to buy fruit. 

The old man rounded his eyes in surprise, really not expecting this young man to help him. 

"You're not joking are you?!" The old man still couldn't believe that the young man in front of him could buy all his merchandise. 

Theodore pulled out his backpack and threw a wad of money at the old man. 

Which immediately made the old man freeze when he saw the wad of money in front of him. 

"W-where do you want me to deliver all this stuff?" The old man immediately understood what he had to do. 

Theodore took out an address from his rented warehouse in the city of M, fortunately he had already thought of this. 

"You can take it there. Then, when can you take me to your village?" Theodore asked again. 

"I will pick you up tomorrow afternoon at your warehouse," the old man replied seriously. 

Theodore nodded his head in understanding, then left the old man to continue his journey.

Since the old man said he would pick Theodore up at noon, he decided to go back to the business district of M city again to buy some fruits that he could plant in the sacred dimension.

This time Theodore bought seeds of various berries, tomatoes and any fruit seeds he could find there. 

Not only that, Theodore also bought harvested fruits such as apples, pears, mangoes, and others. 

Theodore would not waste his time here, he would fill his rented warehouse with all the necessities. 

"There's still time before the old man picks me up," Theodore muttered as he looked at his watch.

Since he still had time, Theodore wandered around the district a few times to buy some of his other necessities. 

Although Theodore could have bought these items in the city of K, but since he was already here and he saw it, he bought some cooking utensils. 

Not only that Theodore also bought about a dozen fairly modern gas stoves and bought the entire stock of gas cylinders there. 

"I'm really going crazy buying this much stuff." Theodore grimaced as he watched the money flow out of his wallet. 

Seeing that it was time to leave, Theodore rushed to his warehouse and decided to wait for the old man there. 

And also Theodore would use his time to move all his purchases this time to the sacred dimension.

It took a lot of time for Theodore to organize all of his items, fortunately he had enough time. 

When the old man came to pick him up, Theodore had just finished doing his business. 

"I thought you wouldn't come," Theodore said when he saw the old man walking towards him in a hurry.

"How could I break my promise to you, young man." The old man chuckled when he heard Theodore's words. 

Theodore could see that the old man looked more relaxed than before, it seemed like the matter was over and made his mood better at the moment. 

"Are we leaving now?" Theodore couldn't wait to see his harvest this time. 

"Sure, I'll take you to my village!" The old man nodded his head excitedly. 

Theodore followed the old man as he led him to a pick-up truck that was used to transport vegetables and fruits. 

Along the way Theodore saw what happened in the village, it was fitting that the old man needed money, it turned out that the road to the village was previously blocked by resistant ruins and stones.

Theodore could see traces of repairs there, "Your village was hit by a landslide before?" asked Theodore curiously. 

"Yes, not only landslides, there were earthquakes before too." The old man looked uneasy as he explained about the natural disasters that happened in his village. 

Hearing that, Theodore realized that the apocalypse had already begun. The apocalypse didn't bring zombies right away, before that there were many natural disasters and the peak was when the earth's temperature increased drastically. 

Thinking about how horrible it would be to survive in the midst of an apocalypse, Theodore's body immediately began to shiver. 

"Are you alright, young man?" The old man glanced at Theodore who was silent with a pale face. 

Theodore only chuckled softly, then shook his hand. 

"I'm fine. Your village is still far away?" Theodore quickly changed the subject. 

"It'll be here soon." 

Just as the old man said, about 15 minutes later Theodore saw a large field with a sizable settlement. 

When they arrived at the village, the old man immediately invited Theodore to see the harvest of the village. 

"Welcome to Farmstock. Our village is one of the biggest producers of vegetables in M town," the old man explained proudly. 

"How lucky I am to meet you," Theodore replied happily as he realized that it wasn't just anyone. 

The old man laughed embarrassedly and began to introduce the people in his village and took Theodore to see what was there. 

"I told you before that I will buy everything you have. Not only that I also need their seeds, the more the better for me." Theodore explained his intentions. 

Of course Theodore's words were greeted with great fanfare by the villagers, they immediately rushed to do what they had to do. 

Theodore's purpose of coming to M City had been fulfilled, now he only needed to return to K city. Given that he still had an appointment with Nicholas. 

Theodore still had a lot to learn to add to his success in surviving the apocalyptic life.
