"Ding, ding, ding! The winner is the undefeated, the one invincible under the heavens, Goo Kim!" Goo shouted, flexing his muscles like a bodybuilder despite them being hidden under his sweater. He struck various poses as everyone stared in shock at what had just happened.
'Did he just throw dirt in his eyes?' Dowan thought, confused along with everyone else. 'Why was he carrying dirt in his pocket?' This was the first time Dowan had ever seen someone pack dirt in their pocket, but more than that, he was shocked that Goo had used it to take down such a huge guy. 'Maybe I should try it sometime.' he thought. But his focus shifted as he noticed Goo still striking poses. 'Is he okay?' He wondered. Goo had taken down Manchoon, but Dowan saw how much Goo got hit and slammed around. 'Is he hiding his pain, like I always do? But, now is my chance.' Dowan held a microphone in his hand and looked at the stunned Jaemin.
'Did that really just happen?' Jihan was in shock. The fight he witnessed wasn't like anything he knew. No typical hitting, counters, or evasion. 'I don't even know if you can call this a fight.' What Jihan saw wasn't a fight, it felt more like Goo was playing around. He observed Goo, who didn't seem to weigh much and looked skinny, yet somehow he was still standing casually after the beating. 'How is he still fine? Any normal person would be unconscious.'
'What the hell.' Jaemin thought, terrified. 'That guy fought dirty.' He was convinced his friend wouldn't have lost if Goo hadn't played those tricks. But there was something even more unsettling. 'How is that blond bastard still able to stand?' Jaemin couldn't believe that after all those hits, Goo was just fine. 'He's a monster.'
'Is this guy for real?' thought the girls next to Si-Yeon, the black haired girl named Ji-Soo, and the other brown haired girl named Yoon-Seo. They didn't know how to react as they watched Goo, who was still posing. To say that they found him the weirdest guy they'd ever met would be an understatement.
Si-Yeon remained expressionless but found Goo's antics amusing. She was as surprised as everyone else by how he took down Manchoon and still seemed perfectly fine afterward.
"What, did I make you fall for me?" Goo turned toward Si-Yeon with a smug smile.
She scoffed, giving him a cold look.
"Well, I can't blame you." Goo continued, ignoring her glare. "After all, I am Goo Kim." His grin widened as he added, "But seriously, your cold personality won't win you any dates."
"Hah! Are you blind, you yellow haired idiot?!" Ji-Soo next to Si-Yeon shouted as she cupped Si-Yeon's face. "You see this? Boys would do anything just to get a compliment from her."
"Heh, that's because they're not me." Goo chuckled, stopping his poses and tucking his hands into his pockets. "Most guys chase girls, but with me, it's the other way around. Girls just can't help but fall for me." He said, brimming with confidence as though his words were undeniable facts.
The girls were speechless. They stared at Goo, who wore a wide smile, shocked by his response. 'He's so annoying,' thought Ji-Soo as she scoffed, wondering if he really believed what he was saying. 'Hmph, delusional.'
Suddenly, a loud thud caught their attention. They all turned to see Dowan holding a mic, standing next to an unconscious Jaemin on the ground.
'I-I did it.' Dowan thought nervously, realizing he'd completed the system's quest by knocking out Jaemin with the microphone.
"Haha! Dowan, nice one!" Goo said with a grin, slapping Dowan on the back, startling him. "I didn't like either of those two."
'What's with these two...?' Jihan was speechless, they were both wierd friends.
"Now then." Goo said, picking up the unconscious Jaemin and effortlessly slinging him over his shoulder. He then made his way to Manchoon, lifting him by the shirt with ease, surprising everyone since Manchoon was a large guy. "I'll be right back." Goo said, heading for the door.
"Goo, where are you going?" Dowan asked.
"Just a little express delivery." Goo replied with a creepy smile as he walked out of the room.
Once Goo left, Ji-Soo let out an irritated sigh. "That bastard is unbelievable." she muttered, crossing her arms in annoyance. "He's so full of himself."
"I don't know, I think he's kinda funny." Yoon-Seon said, making Ji-Soo turn to her in shock.
"What?" Yoon-Seo asked, noticing her friend's wide eyed look.
"You think that weirdo is funny?" Ji-Soo shouted, unable to believe her friend's compliment.
"Well, his personality is kinda unique." Yoon-Seon replied, twirling the tip of her hair. "He's not like those guys who act tough just to get attention from girls."
"Wait a minute..." Ji-Soo suddenly realized something. It was rare for her friend to compliment someone. "Don't tell me you... like him, right?"
Yoon-Seon blushed, turning her face away from her friend's gaze.
Ji-Soo jaw dropped in disbelief.
"Si-Si! That bastard mind controlled her!" she cried, hugging Si-Yeon dramatically. "But you're still sane, right, Si-Si?" She looked up at the expressionless Si-Yeon, only to be shocked by her response.
"I agree with her." Si-Yeon said, surprising both Ji-Soo and Yoon-Seon. They knew Si-Yeon well, and for her to compliment a person, especially a guy, was unbelievable.
"Si-Si, don't tell me you-" Ji-Soo began fearfully.
"No, I don't like him." Si-Yeon said coldly, glancing at her.
"Phew." Ji-Soo sighed in relief. At least it wasn't that. But it was still worrying that Si-Yeon had complimented a guy.
'It's all because of him.' She thought, glaring coldly at Dowan. If it weren't for this loser, that yellow haired bastard wouldn't be around.
'Eek!' Dowan flinched as he noticed her cold glare, making him break out in a sweat. He quickly looked away. 'Please, Goo, come back quickly.' he thought, unable to handle the pressure.
In the hallway, Goo whistled as he walked with Jaemin slung over his shoulder and Manchoon being dragged by the shirt.
"Hmm, where is he?" It had been a minute since he started walking down the hallway, but he still hadn't seen the person he was looking for.
"There he is." A few feet ahead, Goo spotted a tall, muscular figure wearing a karaoke staff uniform, Manok Yook.
"Express delivery is here!" Goo shouted, startling Manok. He looked ahead to see a blond guy with glasses carrying someone on his shoulder and dragging another by the shirt. When Manok's eyes landed on the person being dragged, recognition hit him.
"You really look a lot like piggy." Goo said with a grin as he approached Manok. Stopping in front of him, Goo lifted Manchoon to give Manok a clear look. "Is this your brother by any chance?"
"Why is my brother unconscious?" Manok's expression darkened as he glanced from his brother to Goo's smug face. "Was it you, you bastard?"
"I just taught piggy here a little lesson. No need to thank me." Goo replied, grinning tauntingly.
"You son of a-!" Enraged, Manok's face bulged with veins as he launched a devastating right hook at Goo's face. The punch landed with a shockwave.
"You fuckers are always so arrog-" Manok started to say, but was cut off by Goo's calm voice.
"Now, isn't that kind of rude?"
Manok's eyes widened as he looked at Goo who remained unmoved, his head rigid as if nothing had happened. His punch had definitely connected, but Goo stood there as if it hadn't even fazed him. 'This guy...?' Manok's mind raced. He had hit Goo with full force, yet the blond guy didn't even budge. Worse, Manok felt his own body trembling. His eyes darted to Goo, who now stood expressionless. The cheerful grin from before was gone, replaced by an unsettling calmness. 'And... what is this pressure?' Cold sweat covered Manok's body as the shorter man in front of him exuded an overwhelming aura.
"I came here with kindness." Goo said, crouching down as he gently placed Jaemin and Manchoon on the floor. "But you responded with violence, so..." He tilted his head up, grinning unsettlingly. "Get ready."
"You arrogant bastard! What do you think you're-" Before Manok could finish, a sudden force slammed into the side of his face, sending his body spinning through the air. His head crashed into the ground, forming a small pit as a shockwave rippled out, instantly knocking him unconscious.
"Oops, forgot to hold back a bit more." Goo said, adjusting his glasses. He had planned to toy with Manok a little longer but forgot just how fragile his opponents could be.
"What the hell was that?"
"I felt a vibration!"
"Was that an earthquake or something?"
Curious voices echoed down the hallway as a group of kids poured out of the nearby rooms, drawn by the commotion.
"Wait, isn't that Manchoon and Manok?" one of them exclaimed, recognizing the figures lying unconscious on the ground.
"Holy crap, you're right!" another said.
"Did that blond guy do this?"
More and more people gathered, surrounding Goo.
"Oh no, I'm surrounded." Goo said sarcastically, hands still tucked in his pockets, his mocking smile making it clear he wasn't concerned in the least.
"This guy..."
"Kill him!"
"Scary." Goo chuckled as the crowd rushed toward him.
Back in the karaoke room.
"Ugh, what's taking that bastard so long?" Ji-Soo grumbled irritably.
"Why are you waiting for him?" Yoon-Seon asked curiously.
"Hmph, it's not like I like him, but do you really want to continue the night with these two losers?" she said, pointing at Dowan and Jihan.
"You do have a point." Yoon-Seon agreed. These two in front of them did seem like losers as they didn't even say anything till now.
"Hey, you!" Ji-Soo called out, making Dowan perk up.
"Y-yes?"
"Call your friend and see where he is." she demanded.
Dowan hesitantly nodded and pulled out his phone to call Goo. But before he could dial..
"I'm back!" Goo burst into the room with a bright smile.
"You bastard, where the hell have you been?" Ji-Soo yelled, irritated.
"What, did you miss me?" Goo replied smugly.
"In your dreams, you jerk." she said, giving him a disgusted look.
"Now then..." Goo said, turning his attention to the three girls. "You three." he pointed at them, making them look at him curiously, "Shoo."
Their eyes widened in shock.
"What?!" Ji-Soo shouted. "What do you mean, shoo?"
"Go away, duh." Goo grinned. "You girls aren't needed. After all.." his grin widened, "this is a guys' night only."
The girls were left even more shocked. No one had ever turned them down or kicked them out before, but this guy just did.
"Hmph, you ungrateful jerk." Ji-Soo snapped, standing up angrily. "Let's go, girls. This night is boring anyway." She stormed out, followed by the Yoon-Seon and Si-Yeon.
As both girls exited first, Si-Yeon paused, turning to give one last look at Goo, Jihan, and Dowan. "You guys should leave too." she said before walking away, but not before giving a lingering glance at Goo.
"Huh? What's up with her?" Goo frowned, noticing the odd look she gave him. His expression became serious for a moment. 'Could it be that she...' But then he smiled. 'Fell for me?' Well, it shouldn't be a surprise, considering his charm.
In the hallway.
"Can you believe that bastard?" Ji-Soo scoffed. "He actually kicked us out?"
Yoon-Seon and Si-Yeon remained silent.
"The next time I see him-" Ji-Soo stopped mid sentence, freezing in her tracks along with the other two.
"What happened here?" she asked.
In front of them were numerous people lying bruised and bloodied on the ground. The sight left them in shock.
"It looks like a fight broke out." Si-Yeon said, surprised by the scene.
"Ugh, these guys always fight." Ji-Soo muttered, unimpressed, as she approached Jaemin, whom she had just noticed. "Hey, idiot, what happened here?" She gave Jaemin a hard kick.
"Huh?" Jaemin groggily opened his eyes from the hit. The fog in his mind cleared, and he suddenly remembered. "Dowan, that crazy fucker." His anger flared as he recalled how Dowan had suddenly attacked him. "I'll ki-"
He froze as he took in the scene around him. "What the hell happened?" Jaemin looked around, only to see the boys who usually hung out in the karaoke, were now lying unconscious on the ground. "Is that Manok?" He couldn't believe his eyes. The giant, known for his strength, was knocked out too. 'Just what happened over here?'
"I asked you what happened." Ji-Soo repeated, irritation clear in her voice.
"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Jaemin shot back, turning his attention to Manchoon, shaking him to wake him up.
"Ugh." Manchoon groaned as he opened his eyes. The pain in his crotch was a stark reminder of the beating he'd taken. "That yellow haired bastard." he muttered, his hatred for Goo evident. 'I swear, I'll kill him one day.'
His thoughts were interrupted as his gaze swept over the hallway. The sight of the unconscious boys shocked him. 'What the hell is this?' His eyes then landed on something even more unbelievable. His older brother, Manok, was lying unconscious too. Manchoon knew just how much of a beast his brother was. But to see him in this state? Who could possibly be strong enough to do this?
But Si-Yeon looking at the scene, remembered Goo's earlier words something about express delivery, she started piecing things together. But she wasn't entirely sure. Could that guy really have done all of this?
"Ugh, that yellow haired bastard is a monster."
"Fuck, what kind of freak was that guy?"
Suddenly, the boys who had been knocked out started to wake up, groaning in pain as they struggled to sit up.
"That weirdo did all this?" Ji-Soo asked as she heard them, her voice full of shock. She couldn't believe the strange guy they'd been with earlier was capable of this kind of destruction.
"It seems so." Si-Yeon replied. Though her face remained expressionless, she was just as shocked.
"It's the police!" A panicked voice shouted as the sound of running footsteps echoed down the hallway. A middle aged manager came rushing towards them, clearly alarmed.
"Someone reported the fight, and the police are here on the first floor!" the manager said frantically. "You underage kids need to leave through the emergency stairway! I'll stall them."
The manager's eyes scanned the scene, bloodied and bruised teens scattered across the hallway. 'Must've been a nasty brawl.' he thought. 'Kids these days...'
"Damn it, why now?"
"Quick, wake everyone up!"
The group of teens hurriedly began waking their unconscious friends, trying to make a fast exit.
"Jaemin, help me with my brother." Manchoon said, struggling to lift Manok. Jaemin nodded, and together they dragged the massive body down the hallway.
"We should leave too." Si-Yeon said.
Back in the karaoke room, Goo was now singing into the microphone.
"Invincible yeahhh."
Jihan was surprised. "Your friend is actually good at singing." he remarked, watching Goo perform.
"Yeah." Dowan nodded, equally impressed. He hadn't expected Goo to sing so well.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and the frantic manager stormed in. "What are you kids still doing here? The police are coming! Underage drinking will get you arrested!"
"Huh?" Goo blinked in confusion. "Ahjussi, we're not drinking here."
"You brat, then what's that?" the manager pointed at the glass bottles scattered around the table.
"That's not ours-" Goo started to argue but was cut off.
"Goo, I think that's enough for today." Dowan interrupted. He didn't want things to escalate. "Besides, I need to head home. It's getting late."
"Yeah, same here. My mom's gonna worry." Jihan added.
"Aw man,." Goo pouted, disappointed but quickly cheering up. "Well, there's always next time!"
With that, they all walked out of the karaoke room.
"Well, I'm heading to the restroom. You guys go ahead. See ya." Goo said, waving as Dowan and Jihan left.
In the restroom.
"Phew, much better now." Goo muttered to himself as he exited the toilet stall. He made his way to the sink, washing his hands and splashing water on his face.
As he dried his face with a paper towel, he glanced at the mirror. "Man, that was refresh-" He stopped mid sentence, his eyes catching a figure standing behind him. But there had been no one there a moment ago.
"Ahhhhhh!" Goo screamed in horror as he spun around. "A GHOST!!"
But before he could scream again, a hand clamped over his mouth.
"Are you crazy? Why are you screaming?" Si-Yeon's irritated voice hissed as she covered his mouth. She hadn't expected such a dramatic reaction from him. 'Seriously, what is wrong with this guy?'
Goo calmed down once he saw who it was.
"Crazy?" he said, removing her hand from his mouth. "You almost gave me a heart attack! What are you doing in the men's restroom?"
Si-Yeon faltered, unsure how to respond. She was on her way to the restroom while she told her friends to leave without her, but she saw Goo entering the restroom as she decided to follow him inside, but now she felt embarrassed. 'Maybe I shouldn't have followed him in here.' she thought.
"Wait a second." Goo's expression shifted into a smug grin. Si-Yeon raised an eyebrow, confused. "You came here because you... want to do it here?" Before she could react, he continued with a cocky grin. "Well, what can I say? My charm is irresistible. But isn't it a bit rash to skip over the whole boyfriend and girlfriend thin-"
Goo's words stopped in his throat as he saw Si-Yeon's wide, cold eyes glaring at him. Her rigid posture made it clear she wasn't amused as she knew what Goo cleary meant.
"Chill, it's just a joke." Goo quickly backtracked.
Si-Yeon sighed, clearly exasperated. She knew arguing with him was pointless, he'd just have a counter for anything she said considering how thick skinned he is.
"I just want to ask you something." Si-Yeon said, making Goo frown. "Those guys that were knocked out in the hallway... did you do that?" Even though she had already guessed it was him, she wanted confirmation.
"Yeah, but why do you care?" Goo confirmed, much to Si-Yeon's surprise. She expected him to deny it or try to hide the truth, especially after how he fought with Manchoon earlier.
"Why are you so surprised?" Goo asked, noticing her reaction.
"Well, I thought you'd try to hide it." Si-Yeon replied.
"Hide it? What are you talking about?" Goo gave her a confused look.
"Well, when you fought that fat guy earlier, it seemed like you were trying to hide your strength." Si-Yeon crossed her arms as she spoke.
"Oh? You've got it all wrong." Goo said with a mischievous smile. "I wasn't trying to hide anything. I was just having fun."
"Fun?" Si-Yeon was baffled by his response. Fighting like that for fun? 'This guy is truly strange.'
"Yeah, if I don't play around, it's no fun at all." Goo said, his smile growing wider.
"What do you mean?" Si-Yeon asked, still puzzled.
"Well." Goo's grin turned unsettling. "If I don't play around, the fight will be over before it starts."
Si-Yeon's surprise at Goo's boldness only deepened when he suddenly acted. Without warning, he grabbed her waist with one arm, pulling her close. He pinned her against the wall with his other hand braced beside her head, trapping her in place.
"Now you can't convince me you came in here just to ask that." Goo said with a bright, playful smile. His face was mere inches from hers as he spoke, watching her wide eyed reaction. Si-Yewon hadn't expected this kind of approach from him. "You want something else from me, right? And I know exactly what it is." He leaned in closer, his face drawing toward hers.
'Wait, what is he doing?' Si-Yeon's mind raced. Panic surged through her. It was the first time she'd ever been caught in a situation like this. She didn't think Goo would be this forward. 'He's not... he's not really thinking of doing that, is he?' Her thoughts spiraled as her imagination filled with all the things that could happen next, and the anxiety began to build.
"Don't worry, just embrace the moment." Goo whispered softly, clearly enjoying her flustered state. He inched closer, his breath brushing against her lips. Si-Yeon's heart pounded in her chest. She felt her face flush, completely frozen. Though her mind screamed at her to move, her body refused to respond. His face was now so close that she could feel the warmth radiating from him. Her eyes instinctively fluttered shut, bracing herself for what was about to happen.
"Ring! Ring!"
Suddenly, the sound of a phone ringing sliced through the tension, stopping Goo in his tracks and snapping Si-Yeon back to reality. It was her phone.
"Uh… I think I should take this." Si-Yeon mumbled, glancing at Goo before slipping away from him. The abrupt interruption allowed her to escape, leaving Goo frozen in place.
Once outside the restroom, Si-Yeon's heart was still racing. Her face was flushed, her hand pressed to her chest as she tried to calm down. The events that had just unfolded replayed in her mind, making it hard to think straight. She took out her phone and saw a flood of messages from her friends waiting for her outside the karaoke club.
"Phew." Si-Yeon took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. She quickly wiped away her flushed expression, returning to her usual calm, emotionless demeanor before heading outside.
Outside the Karaoke club.
"Jeez, what took you so long?" Ji-Soo stood beside Yoon-Seon, both of them waiting at the entrance as Si-Yeon emerged.
"The restroom was occupied." Si-Yeon replied smoothly, though her mind flashed back to the scene with Goo. She forced herself to stay composed. "But why didn't you leave without me?"
"Are you kidding? We couldn't just ditch you like that. Now let's go."
With that, the trio headed off, leaving the karaoke club behind.
Back in the restroom, Goo was still frozen, holding the same stance from before.
"There's just no way that just happened." He muttered to himself. Something straight out of a storybook had just played out, and he wasn't sure how to process it.
"Aren't I supposed to be the Honored One?" Goo asked himself, his face full of disbelief. This kind of thing shouldn't happen to him, not in such a cliché moment.
"Welp, no big deal." Goo's frown quickly morphed back into his usual cheerful expression. "After all, we'll be seeing each other again soon."
With that, Goo left the building, his mood bright as ever.
