CHAPTER SEVEN: Unknown Faces.

The Officer dropped Girl and Boy off at a huge house. Bigger than their house they were originally staying in.

"Where are we?" Girl asked, walking beside the Officer.

"The place where you'll be staying for now on." She said, looking at Girl.

"What's happening with Malinda." Boy said not looking at the Officer.

"She's going to prison, Mostly for not paying the things she needed to pay. She wasn't even your real Mother anyways."

"She was fake?" Girl said startled. The Officer nodded and pulled a small piece of paper out of her pocket.

"I think you were the kids that went missing."

"Is this where real parents live?" Girl asked.

"No, they're both dead."

Girl looked down at her shoes quietly, She realized where she was going. Boy knew long before. The entrance door swung open. A woman with blonde hair showed up with toys in her hand.

"Sorry, It's cleaning day." She said with a chuckle. They heard the laughter of kids in the background. Girl smiled while Boy held the vase closer than before.

"Come in, Please." The woman stepped back and allowed them to pass through. The Officer pushed them both inside until they could see a few faces staring at them and whispering.

A male about Boy's age came up to him with his hand out.

"My names Tony," he said. He had brown hair and blue eyes with freckles everywhere.

"Boy." Boy said. Tony looked at Boy in a confused expression.

"I know you're a boy.. What's your name? Not your gender." Tony said with a little laugh.

"My name is Boy." The Officer placed her hand on Boy's shoulder. Tony eyed the Officer.

"Their parents didn't name them." The Officer said quietly thinking that Boy and Girl wouldn't hear it, But they were rather close to her so the words came out clearly to the both of them.

"Thank you for bringing them here and mostly, Thank you for trusting us with these little ones." The woman said, The Officer nodded and stepped out into the other room with the Woman following.

Tony took Boy's hand and led them up the big stairs in the middle of the house. Tony went to the left and went into a huge room filled with beds.

At the end of the hallway was a small room with two beds.

"Can you bunk with me?" Tony asked, opening the door.

One half of the room had Tony's stuff and the other was completely empty.

"I don't see why not.." Boy loosened his grip with the vase and walked to his side of the room. There was a window right next to his bed. He placed down the pot and grabbed the water bottle out of his bag then water it.

He smiled a little then looked at Tony that was staring at him from his bed.

"What kind of plant is that?" He asked, tilting his head to get a better look.

"I don't know. I found it." Boy stared at the plant as well, Trying to pick out what had changed about it.

Tony was silent for a while until he finally choked something out, "You know that legend?" Boy turned to Tony, Confused about what he said.

"What legend?"

"How did you end up here?" Tony looked Boy up and down.

"Walker died. Or like, The top Male of my house." Boy said while sitting down on his bed.

"So he's your Father?" Tony asked.

"No. He's not anything to me. Not anymore."

Tony continued to stare at Boy. He was uncomfortable with the weird presence of Boy being with him, Alone. He had a bad feeling about the flower he was carrying around. Now that it's placed on the nightstand Tony feels like he's being watched by something. Or someone.

"Where is my sister sleeping?" Boy asked.

"She's on the other side of the staircase. Genders are split here." Tony said walking out of the room.

"Why?" Boy stared at Tony.

"Reasons."

Boy watched his shadow disappear. He stared at the wood floor and thought a little. Until he was startled by a giggle than a footstep. Boy whipped around only to be greeted by the Male again and the shining of the plant on the nightstand.

"This place is so big !" He said jumping up and down.

"I know, I was starting to wonder if you'd ever come back." Boy said in relief.

"I'd never leave my friends," He said with a smile.

"Too bad my favorite toy isn't here. I have to find new ones."

"Oh," Boy walked over to his bag and pulled out the doll the Male was playing with before.

"I thought you might want it so I sneaked it in my bag." Boy handed the doll to the Male. He jumped up and down and held the doll close to him.

"Where is your sister?" He said looking around.

"With the females. We're separated for some reason." Boy said, crossing his arms.

"You could have just said 'The other girls.'". The Male said sitting on the floor looking up at him.

"I know but that's her name. It's too confusing."

"Her name isn't Girl." he said.

"Then what is it." Boy said annoyed. He looked around the half decorated room and the fully decorated room. Seeing if Tony will return.

"I don't know. But I know your name." The Male picked up one of the balls on Tony's side of the room and threw it in the air.

"You do?" Boy watched the ball slowly as he sat on the edge of his bed.

The Male nodded, "Yeah It's David. You went missing years ago. That man was your Father, He just didn't remember you two. That woman was not."

"My name is David?" Boy asked excitedly.

"I think so, I'm Borris."

"Borris? Who named you?" Boy came closer to him.

"Me. I thought about it for a while because you guys kept referring to me as 'the Male'." Borris chuckled.

"I don't think your name is David. It's just a random thought, I came up with the name since you don't have one !" Borris dropped the ball and hugged Boy.

"So, I'm still nameless."

"I guess so, I'm sorry," Borris said.

"..It's fine. Need some water, Borris?"
