Racking his brain for the past few minutes, Naruto disregarded many ideas and finally came up with a rational and logical choice.
Revealing his now-awakened affinities to Jiraiya.
The idea itself composed of many ups and downs, but the outcome - if succeeded - would be rewarding. The Legendary Sanin had traversed the most dreadful of lands, gaining many experience and Ninjutsus in his arsenal.
Determined to gain some powerful weapons for himself, the teen went outside.
The bright rays of sunshine evaded his sight, making him squint his eyes. It took some time to adjust to the sudden change of brightness, but he adapted to it.
Naruto looked to his right, only to see some children playing with each other with vivid joy and smiles. Which, made him chuckle.
On his left was the white-haired man, sitting on the edge of the veranda, his eyes lost in the light. Slowly striding toward him, Naruto sat near his Sensei, catching his attention.
Jiraiya turned his head, smiling lightly at his student.
Jiraiya studied Naruto... He..
'He's not his usual self'
He did not fail to notice that. The usual, hyperactive, and tenacious Teen seemed to be calm and reserved today. It almost left a bitter taste in his mouth, hearing his jokes... Even if they were humorless, were good.
"Sensei"
Naruto pulled out a white paper from the pocket of his jacket and held it out between his fingers. Seeing it was Nature testing paper, Jiraiya raised a brow.
"Wha—"
Jiraiya was cut off short as the paper suddenly split into three. One side damped, one wrinkled, one turned to dirt before crumbling, and the final one burned to crisps.
Jiraiya's eyes almost popped out of his sockets witnessing the scene.
"WHAT THE FUCK!!??"
His sudden scream made the children run away in fear, and the birds hysterically flew in the distance from the dancing trees.
Contrary to his in-composed behavior, Naruto was grinning.
"Surprise"
"H-How?"
Jiraiya asked, his expression a delight to see. Naruto just shrugged at his question.
"I never told anyone... When Kakashi-Sensei tested my Nature, it only revealed wind. But after the battle with Gaara, I felt something... Change within me. I don't know what happened, but when I checked my Nature again, I had all five Nature transformations, crazy, Right?"
Jiraiya coughed a couple of times, comprehending the sudden information he just received. However, with it came his own suspicions.
"Why now? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Naruto stayed motionless for a moment, acting as if he were really thinking it through.
"Well," He hesitated but continued. "To tell the truth... I... I didn't trust you Jiraiya-Sensei"
The Sanin's lips parted a bit hearing that.
"Why?"
Naruto raised his head, locking eyes with the man before him.
"Why? You should already know. I was tortured my whole childhood by the villagers, known as a Demon! They verbally, and physically abused me. I was kicked out of the orphanage just out of spite, I barely survived! There were even occasions were I almost starved to death!
And you ask me why? I'll tell you why! Because you, a powerful and influential person who had the authority to protect me! To save me! Did not act, because you were too busy pursuing your "Friend", who is set on killing you!
And after all those years, you suddenly pop up out of nowhere claiming to be my Great-Father? Of course, I would be spiteful of you! Beacuse-"
Before he could continue any further, Jiraiya pulled him into a tight embrace. Streams of tears ran down both of their cheeks.
"I-I'm sorry, Naruto... I am so... So... So sorry that I wasn't there for you"
Naruto's muffled cry stopped, and in the darkness of his embrace, he smiled... A vile grin that would've sent shivers down even the spine of Sasuke.
Naruto quickly changed his expression as he pulled out, and continued.
"But... But now, I trust you. That's why I chose to reveal it"
He cleaned the tears and smiled faintly.
"So, you'll help me, right?"
Jiraiya wiped away his tears as well, and asked:
"Help you with what?"
Naruto rolled his eyes. "Help me learn some Jutsu's for all the elements, of course! I mean, if I want to save the village and defeat the Akatsuki, I really need to gear up, Y'know!"
Jiraiya laughed hearing his words and patted his back.
"That, you are right. Finally, I thought it would take another year to get you into your senses!"
Both, Jiraiya and Naruto chuckled at the statement.
Jiraiya stood up, and stretched. "Let's get something to eat, shall we? I heard the Ramen here is pretty delicious!"
However, contrary to his expectations, Naruto shook his head and stood up.
"Nope. Ramen isn't that healthy, I need to get into shape and get physically stronger. And for that," Naruto walked toward the dining hall, and took a glance at Jiraiya. "You need to follow a diet"
Startled by his words, Jiraiya stared at the parting back of Naruto.
'Is that... Really him? Or did the Demon fox possess him?'
Jiraiya chuckled, and followed behind. His eyes took a glimpse at the burning star in the sky.
'Whatever change occurred, it's for the best... I hope'
