There's nothing wrong with reincarnating as the villainess instead of the heroine. After all, the villainess is richer and more powerful. There's nothing wrong with the villainess chasing after one of the love interests. After all, it's not like he's the canon route. There's nothing wrong with Ophelia's life.
The sound of thundering hooves approaches.
People burst through the door, calling for the aid of Celeste.
Lucas and I look up to see the local stable master panting in the doorway, looking winded and wild-eyed. He's young - too young to normally be a stable master, but I recognize his uniform to be one of a stable master.
His gaze meets Lucas' and he exhales heavily. "I...I saw you helping back with the other ones and I..." He gulps for air, stumbling forward, "There's...there's someone..." He takes in another shaky breath. "A...woman..."
He gestures over his shoulder with a trembling hand, out to where his stable stands.
To say 'stands' is an overstatement. It's one of the buildings that had collapsed nearly completely.
"She's badly wounded! Hurry...she might not last much longer!"
"Celeste is exhausted." I say firmly, striding over.
