Chapter 149
“How did it go” Christy asked Paul as soon as he entered the house.
“ Patrick has sent Sharon out of the house I tried stopping him but I guess he has made up his mind there's nothing I could do”
“That Patrick of yours is like is hot tempered. I don't like people like that”
“Really but I remember you telling me that… is ok”
“Complete your sentence what did I say?
“Never mind, I don’t think you will remember”
“So what are we eating for dinner?” Paul ask wanting to change the topic.
“Well, I made your favorite”
“Ok, what about my Sharon has she eaten yet?”
“She has been waiting for you but she went to bed”
“Ok.”
“I've been meaning to ask you what is it between you and Sharon” Christy ask Paul and he turned in a flash.
“Which Sharon?”
“Patrick's wife of course”
“What happened?”. Paul asked so curious.
“She came here the other day asking for you but when I told her that you're not around she just turned to leave, I try finding out what the problem is but she snubbed me and walk away, and then she told me that she wants to see you that it has nothing to do with me.
You know I'm not comfortable the way she look at me. Do you have anything to do with her?”
“No.. no.. no, I have nothing to do with her.” Paul thought of telling Christy the truth about their marriage, he didn’t want Christy to hear it from someone else.
“Well, when you had the accident my mother married Sharon for me”
“What?”
“Yes”
“ I can't believe you, I got into an accident. I lost my memory and you were busy screwing Sharon? is that what you’re trying to tell me?”
“No… no… no no.. no, that's not what I'm saying, what I'm saying is that… is a bit complicated I don’t know how to explain to you”
“Then explain it anyhow, explain the way I will understand you, because that is wickedness you know, you don’t mean to tell me that I was in the hospital. lost my memory and all you could do is screw Sharon? tell me”. Christy yell at Paul.
“Please calm down, I can explain this to you, but I can't explain when you're shouting”. Paul was so surprise because Christy has totally changed overnight, she’s not the Christy he used to know. She’s more aggressive right now.
“You are pregnant, I don't want you to shout too much” Paul started pleading going on his kneels. Begging Christy to calm down.
“it’s ok, get up”.
“Thank you and please don't think about Sharon ok, I promise to stay away from her, but please don't talk about Sharon again. I don't want to lose you again.”
That night Paul couldn't sleep because Christy made sure to divide the bed with the pillows.
“What is all this?” Paul keeps wondering why Sharon has to come here, what is she looking for here?, did she want to destroy my marriage?”
He went out of the bedroom to the sitting room to drink some cold water because he couldn’t get himself right now.
He doesn’t want anything to come between him and Christy.
