BETWEEN SISTERS

Everyone - my uncle, my sister, and me - rushed out of the house to check the cars. Nothing moved; the batteries had been removed.

My sister placed her hands on her head and exclaimed, "He took the phones and removed the car batteries. What is this? This is madness!"

"Uncle, how did you get here?" I asked.

"One of my old pals dropped me off with his jeep yards away from here. I had to run here," My uncle replied. "The best part is, my phone is dead! What in the world is going on?"

"Let's walk, we might find a vehicle that'll take us to Hannah's or probably to Henry's home," I said.

"We need to gear up. The Alpha is going to retaliate," my uncle said.

"We can't carry a gun around," my sister said.

"You all have bags. Place the weapons you have there and let's move!" my uncle exclaimed.

Everyone rushed in and loaded each backpack with ammunition. My sister sealed the door before we proceeded to start walking hastily.
