Was It Really That Surprising?

Eden had been skeptical when Jonah told her about Troy's plan to bring a fake girlfriend to the reunion. It seemed like a red flag to her that a fan had offered it. What if she was trying to get some sort of weird blackmail on her idol and use it to trick him into something he didn't want? 

She had known some girls in college that had borderline creepy obsessions with specific members of boybands or actors. There were a lot of weirdos out there; what if he was being targeted? 

She approached their hike with Megan in a cautious but friendly manner, not wanting to be rude. She would give this stranger the benefit of the doubt at first. 

As it turned out, she had nothing to worry about. She was a cool person that didn't look at Troy with obsessive or overly worshiping eyes. If anything, she seemed like she was more of his friend than his fan and they hardly knew each other.
