Magic and Aptitude

"Saying you want to be taught magic, Aaron do you have any aptitude?" Lindsey asked

"Aptitude?" asked Aaron

"Magic greately depends on the aptitude one is born with, A person who doesn't have any aptitude cannon use music what they do." Elsie said

"I see, so it would seem it is not an ability that's usable by everyone. Hmm, if everyone can use it, then it wouldn't be strange if civilization developed furthuer into the magic side." Thought Aaron.

"Aptitide. Huh, yeah. However wouldn't it be alright? A certian person guaranteed and said I can use magic immediately if it is me." Said Aaron

"Who is it that person?" Asked Lindsey.

"That.... He is really important person." Said Aaron

"I can't literaly say it is the God of the world. I will stay silent about it." thought Aaron

"Whether I have aptitude or not, I have no method to find out." said Aaron

To Aaron's question, Lindsey takes out sone translucent sgones from the pounch on her waist. They are shining like glass from red and blue, yellow to colourless approximately at the size of one centimeter. Which reminds me, there is something like that on the silver wand that Lindsey bought but that one was much bigger.

"This, what is it?" asked Aaron

"This is a magic stone. Magical power is amplified, stored and it can be realsed. We can investigate your aptitude using this. However only roughgly."said Lindsey

" water, I wonder if it's east to understand."Aaron mumbled

Lindsey picked up a bluish transparent stone in her hand and then places it above the cup of tea that I just finshed drinking.

"Come forth, water."Lindsey yelled

When lindsey spoke the words a small amount of water to flow out of the magic stone and falls into the cup.

" ohhh."Said Aaron

"This is the state when magic is invoked. This magic stone produces water is response to my magical power." said lindsey

"By the way..." Aaron was about to say something

Th nearby Elsie recives the magic stone from the younger sister and chants the incantation the same way.

"Come forth water." Elsie yelled

But the magic stone doesn't shiw any reaction. Not a drop of water came out.

"This is what happens when you have no aptitude in water. So this means I can't use water magic." Elsie said

"Even tough you are twins, Elsie can't use it." Said Aaron

"Don't just bluntly say what's on your mind... Well, not that I mind." Elsie said

"Opps that was a slip of the tounghe. However, Elsie isn't seriously angry. I am a little relived." Thought Aaron

"Sis, can't use water magic, but instead she can use body strengtheing magic. In contrast, I can't use body strengthening beacuse I would need the aptitude to able to use it." said Lindsey

"I see. So that was the source of her outrageously destructive power. Even through her body looks slender, it is mysterious where that power is comming from. This sloves that mystrey." thoughy Aaron

"Magic is something that everyone possesses, but if they have no aptitude for it they can't use the skill."Aaron said

"So It all depends on aptitude beacuse if one doesn't have any talent, then the world is unfair if I had to say it." thought Aaron

"Then if I do that too, we will find out If I have aptitude or not." Said Aaron

"Yes hold the stone in your hand and concentrate from your consciouness on it. The please recite 'come forth water.'" said lindsey

Aaron recived the blue magic stone from Elsie and then he bring the magic stone above a plate to avoid the table getting wet when he invoked the magic.

Aaron concentrated my consciousness on the magic stone and recite the words they taught Aaron.

"Come Forth water!!" Aarron yelled.

The next moment, water starts to overflow from the magic stone like a broken faucet.

"Huhhhh?" Aaron yelled

When he let go of the magic stone in surprise, the water stops instantly. However the table is flooded and the tablecloth is soppimg wet.

"What does this mean?" Aaron asked

Aaron demanded an explanation from the two people for this clearly abnormal situation, but the twin sister are dumbfounded witb their eyes wide open. Their expressions are just so alike that Aaron almost laughed unontentionally.

"I think it is beacusr Aaros level of magical powr is far superior yet, there is no way the first time by such a small magic stone and a fragment of incantation. And its clear the magic quabtity is at an impossible level. I can't belive it." said Lindsey

"You are absoluetly more likely to beacome a magician. I have never seen something like this." said Elsie

"I have aptitude as expected. Well it's from God's approval after all. At any rate perphaps this level of magicak power is also from God's affect. However this is still better tahn a little. Abyhow this means that I can use magic" thought Aaron

They apologized for the table they flooded and leat the coffee shop in haste.

Beacuse it was already evening by the time they arrived at the inn, then magic will be for late tomorow.

Aaron had lindsey teach him reading and writing in the dining hall after they finished  dinner. Aaron got Mikas permisson just in case.

To stary with, Aaton had lindsey write a sinple word and then he would write next to it in one of earths langauge.

"These are characters I haven't see, This is from where?" asked Lindsey

"These are characters limited to the area of my home town, I am probably the only one who uses these character around here." said Aaron

"Let alone in this area, there is probably no one who uses them anywhere in this world. It resembles something likr a secret cod.e" thought Aaron

For now, lindsey seemed to understand even tough she becomed mystified

Thereafter, Aaron learned the words steadily and I convert them to earthen langauge. Aaron wondered if it is beacuse Lindsey is good at tecahing. The words are rapildy entering Aaron's head.

"Oh?  Did I have such good memory? Is this also from god's affect?" Thought Aaton

"If that is the case wouldn't it be better if I was able to read and write from the begining? Altough thinking about i have proably recived  more various conveniences from God." thought Aaton

Aaron finsijed studyinf at a good pace.

Aaron said goodbye to lindsey and retruned to my room.

Aaron wrote down the memory of today's event on the smartphone and peek on the informantion from other word. He was amazed by the events in the other world.

After that He chcked ishen on the map. He found that is an island country considerably east from here at the edge of the continet. It seems to slightlt resemble japan. He wanted to go there sonetime is there is an opportunity.

Aaron became sleepy immeadietly. He stopped any useless resistance and quickly crawl into bed.
