Chapter 120 - From Marcel Mineheart to Quinn Caskcut

Third person POV

 A few days later, back in the overworld, Ester's prediction had happened. Quinn Caskcut had died after being ambushed by 2 Blood Wolves. His family, consisting of 2 parents and 2 siblings, were shocked and devastated to see him lying on the ground dead and in blood. The father drove the wolves away with his hoe, but Quinn was no longer there. The family cried and grieved for his death. But then, light shrouded his dead body, and then, as Quinn's soul left his body and world, Marcel entered the body, taking possession of it. And now, much to the chagrin of Quinn's family, Marcel Mineheart, now known as Quinn Caskcut, woke up good and groggy, looking at the family. "Am I now…Quinn Caskcut now?"

His body was healed when his soul had entered his body.

 "Huh? Son, is that you?" Quinn's father asked him while examining his body and the wounds on his body.

Quinn then looked at him. "Are you Mr. Caskcut, right?"

 "What?"

 "My former name is Marcel Mineheart," replied Quinn back while getting up and standing. "I am a caretaker to the former hunting lodge of the ruling Passato family."

The young boy then looked at his new body. "So I am now Quinn Caskcut…"

 "You're that old caretaker?!" his new mother asked him back.

 "Yes, I was." Quinn nodded at her. "When was his death?"

 "That was last Japau," responded his new older sister. "He died of an illness at the age of 79."

 Knowing that Ester had kept his word, Quinn began to tell them about his old identity and knowledge as Marcel Mineheart to prove that he was, indeed, that deceased Marcel Mineheart.

 A few minutes later, the Caskcut family was shocked to hear all that but were happy to see their family member being revived thanks to Marcel, hugging him in an embrace. Quinn was happy that he is able to relive his life in this world and to make things right again. So, shortly after, Quinn ran towards Russell's home with his new family. There Russell and his friends were cleaning up Marcel's old home when Quinn and his new family came to the scene.

 "Hey, Russell-san!" Quinn shouted at them.

Russell, Nathan, and Rai heard that and looked at him, only to be surprised by their presence.

 "Quinn-kun?" Russell responded back.

 "Yes, it's me," Quinn replied, "but I was Marcel Mineheart in my previous body and life."

This shocked Russell and his friends a lot.

John was also dumbfounded on how Marcel is now Quinn but was happy that his friend is now alive again, albeit in a different body and identity.

 But after that, Russell revealed to his friends about Ester and his position and ability to determine the reincarnation cycles of deceased peoples. To that, his friends were stunned and asked him if he had met Ester before. "Yes, I did," Russell replied back.

Quinn's family then backed Quinn's claim as well.

To that, Russell looked at the sky and thought, "Ester, thanks for bringing Marcel back to this world, albeit as a boy named Quinn Caskcut."

 And so, Russell offered Quinn to continue working in his estate and home as a caretaker of it part-time. Russell knew that Quinn, as the real Quinn, was currently a second-year student at the Outer District's Academy, so he offered that to Quinn, who was now Marcel in Quinn's body. Quinn was surprised to hear that but quickly accepted it wholeheartedly, wanting to work for him, albeit part-time due to his studies. So much so, Russell offered to pay for most of his monthly tuition, much to the chagrin of Quinn's family. However, the family accepted that generous offer because of their socioeconomic status as a lower-income family.

 And then, a week has passed, and Quinn was now living his life to the fullest. He would go to work after class and work there until 6 in the evening. He also had to regain his old life's friendships with everyone in the district. His home was just a short walk from Russell's home. Quinn worked with vigor as Russell and Nathan, alongside Azalea, went out for work and quests. Then, 9 days after his reincarnation, Quinn had unlocked and discovered his undiscovered ability: Sword Summon. That one is an S-ranked one. So, shortly after that discovery, Quinn started attending a sword class that trains and helps those who had that ability as well. Life for him was good as Marcel's grave in the Outer District's cemetery marked his previous life and was visited by Russell, Quinn, and others a few times a week.

 But meanwhile, somewhere in the forests west of Fernlay City, Elai and her party are trekking though the trees and greens while on the run from the law and being hunted by the authorities.
