Chapter 3

They must be joking. I decide to just stay in the hall but realize that people will just start running in here. I run to avoid being stampeded as the thought pops in my mind.

I notice learners running to the exit of the university. I don't know why. They should remain indoors. I decide to run to my dorm. As I am running to my dorm, Spencer grabs my arm roughly and shouts " Follow me." I am too caught up in the moment to object. We are both running on adrenaline. I notice that Spencer is leading me to the library. We are pushing past many students who are in a rush as well. We notice one boy from my mathematics class fall. I want to help but Spencer is pulling me away. I hope no one is being crushed by the stampede. We make it to the library. Spencer closes the door and barricades it with a table. I am frozen still. What the hell is Spencer doing? I feel like just sleeping away from my problems even though I have no idea what is going on. Spencer faces me. " Do you know what is going on?" Spencer's eyes are big. I shake my head. Spencer sighs. " The world is being hit by a zombie apocalypse." At first, I think he is joking but the look on his face tells me otherwise plus all the panicking students. " What the hell Spencer." I should scream but for some reason, I don't. I'm too overwhelmed. What happened to the world? Is this some virus or cure gone wrong? I notice a television set at the back of the library.
