Both kids ran for a few minutes before finally reaching the scene where all the noise was coming from. Since they were currently very deep in the forest, there were naturally a lot of trees present for Wendy and Kai to camp on and observe what was going on below without being spotted.
Below were a lot of people in black suits, men and women. Their numbers reached almost fifty and each of them held either a pistol or rifle in their hands as they fired endlessly, generating loud gunshots and sounds of bullets falling to the ground like rain.
A distance away from where they were currently fighting, the kids could see a lot of cars that had suffered different crashes and also the bodies of other people in black suits lying about.
After taking a closer look, both kids realized that all the people in black suits were on the same side and were all fighting a single woman together.
