In a tragic and ruthless cultivation world where the weak has no right and are preyed upon by the strong, stood a young boy of about 10 years old, tears streaming down his face, This man is Liam who had transmigrated into this strange world and the most shocking thing is that he has no cheat or system to guide him!

He tried it numerous times all the while hoping that a status screen will miraculously appear before his eyes but unfortunately, he is disappointed again and again!

'From all indications I have transmigrated but why didn't I possessed the body of a powerful being or possessed a system, in the end I was even brought into this world as a newborn child!' No matter how Liam look at, he has indeed transmigrated but his life is very pathetic and ordinary.

Liam fall down on his knees and shook the two bodies before him, his surrounding is full of corpses some of which are his clan members while some are his family! His siblings and his parents!

Liam's body is shaking uncontrollably as he softly said some words that are barely whisper, "Why…? I have finally found a family, a place I… can always call home but… why… why did I have to lose anything in the end?!"

Liam's shout reverberated through the silent battlefield, or rather the manor of the Moonlight Clan that has become a bloody battlefield with the stench of death and blood permeating the air, bodies strung across the place.

"Why is the world so cruel… they died just because of one man…" Liam felt a heart wrenching pain as he watch the bodies of those he grew up with all lifeless on the ground.

It is indeed true that his family clan was wiped out from the face of the earth just because one man demanded it, for a single mistake, all of his brethren are mercilessly slaughtered!

"I swear I will kill you all, Huh?" Just as Liam softly said the words, he felt something touch his arm, it turns out to be a hand and not just anyone's hand but his mother's!

"Please! D-don't worry, you will be fine!" Liam said and quickly drop to his knees beside the wounded woman.

Even with the blood and injuries, it still failed to hide her otherworldly beauty, she slowly raised her hand to touch Liam's face.

"This is the end for me, the Starwind family… would help you, you must survive… you have a good heart and… principles, no matter what… do not give up and do not… let go" With that last sentenced, his mother drew her last breath and died in his arms.

Liam is still in denial of the cruel and harsh reality that is before him until her hand that was touching his face slowly fall and went limp on the gorund!

Liam had never felt such type of pain, he want to scream! To shout and cry but in the end, he couldn't do any of that because the pain he felt is extremely tormenting to the point that he couldn't even shout!

"Haa… now… I get it… They mercilessly slaughter my whole family without any ounce of emotion… just because of a single man…" Liam words seemed like nonsense but that is what is in his mind after the pain subsided.

"It is just because they are stronger…" Liam's word trailed off at this moment he knew that nothing such as good or bad existed, one who has the strength is he only one that has the right to decide something is wrong or right!

He also let go of the childish dream that a system will appear at the crucial moment and save the day, he always held onto it, hoping that a system will appear but in the end… He is just a little boy with no hope but only regrets and guilt plaguing his heart!

After digging up a grave which took little effort, he put his parents inside the grave, his purpose… maybe he never had any!

"What is the point of living anyway…?" Liam slowly pulled a nearby sword and aim it at his stomach.

Just as he is about to push it deep, his mother's face appeared in his mind and her last words that he must survive, with a loud defiant shout Liam push the sword towards his stomach, piercing it!

"ARGH!!!" With a bloodcurdling scream and renew tears streaming down his face, Liam quickly pull the sword out of his body due to the extreme pain.

He lie down beside the body of his parents in a pool of his own blood as he awaits the once terrifying embrace of death that he once so fear is nothing more than a peaceful and blissful escape from this accursed world!

Liam slowly closed his eyes and wish to never open them ever again, he has had enough! The heavens seems to be playing with his fate and enjoying his despair and sorrow!
