"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..."

"I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him."

"Is that what you dream about... being a monster??"

Not exactly, mostly I dream about being with you forever."

"The only thing that could hurt me is you."

"This is only about you, all I care is that you're safe."

"Morning!" Katherine greeted everyone who were seated on the round table for breakfast.

"Morning, Kath!" Everyone said simultaneously except for Drake.

"How are you, Vlad?" Katherine said before taking her seat.

"I'm fine, Pri... Kath." Vladamir said making Katherine giggled.

Greeting Vladamir and not him made Drake frown. Athan, Alaric, Blade, and Kieran felt Drake's jealousy and can't stop themselves from smiling.

"Paps, can we go back to the hospital today? It's been days and I don't think my head nurse will allow me and Amber to take a longer leave of absences." Katherine said.

"As of the other day, you and the rest were no longer staffs of St. Leonard Hospital. Lazarus and I have talked about that." Serafino said.

"What!? Paps how could you do that without asking me first?" Katherine said with a disappointed face.

"You will put everyone's lives in danger if you will continue working there." Serafino said making Katherine's forehead creased.

"What are you saying, Paps?" Katherine asked with her puzzled face.

"Finish your food first then, we'll talk." Serafino said and Katherine had no choice but to eat.

"What is Drake's problem?" Amber said while they are walking towards the arena.

After breakfast, Serafino, together with Katherine and Drake, went to his office to talk. While for them, they were sent to the arena to train.

"A jealous King to be exact." Athan answered making the girls raised their brows.

"Jealous?" Dawn asked.

"Yeah, he's jealous of Vladamir." Alaric said.

"What!? He's gay?" Thana asked making the boys laughed.

"He would definitely kill you if he will hear you say that in front of him." Blade said making Thana cover her mouth and looked around for signs of Drake and felt thankful when she saw nothing.

"Can you please elaborate what are you saying?" Amdis said.

"Katherine is Drake's significant other." Kieran said making the girls put an "OH" faces.

"But Katherine is not aware of that because she's not a vampire yet." Athan explains.

"So, that's the reason he was in bad mood since yesterday." Amber said and the boys nodded.

"Maybe, we should let destiny decides for both of them. Sooner or later, Katherine will feel that she's Drake's other half." Dawn said.

"Let's begin." Alaric said and started pairing up with each other for a duel.

"Kath, your parents didn't die because of an accident." Serafino said making her granddaughter looked at him with questioning eyes.

"They were killed by the Sanguinarians." Serafino continued. Drake was only listening.

"Who are they? Why did they killed dad and mom?" Katherine said with teary eyes. Drake wanted to comfort Katherine but stopped himself.

"Sanguinarians are the ones who didn't want to follow the rule. Your father ordered that vampires should avoid drinking blood from humans but that didn't stop them. They continue their blood sucking activities until your father gave them an ultimatum. At first, they followed so we thought everything is fine but their leader, Luther, plotted an ambush against your parents and that was the cause of their deaths." Serafino said feeling anger again towards the Sanguinarians.

Katherine's tears flowed continuously from her eyes. Drake's heart is hurting seeing Katherine. He came closer to Katherine and hugged her tightly. Katherine let out her grief knowing how her parents died. Drake just let her feel that he's with her, letting her cry, wetting his shirt with her tears.

After a while, Katherine seems to get calmer but, still sobbing so, Serafino continued.

"Now that you have known that you're a vampire and starting to regain your powers, you'll be their biggest threat. They will do everything to kill you." Serafino said.

"What should I do, Paps?" Katherine asked.

"You should train using all your powers. You should be ready on your 21st birthday for your whole transformation and everything will follow." Serafino said. Katherine wiped her tears and stood up.

"I will do everything. I will be ready for them." Katherine said then, she left. Serafino felt happiness at the same time, fear for her granddaughter.

"Drake." Serafino said.

"Yes, Milord." Drake answered.

"Guide her well." Serafino said.

"I will, Milord." Drake said and then followed Katherine.

Serafino sat on his chair. Open a box and looked into a picture of his son and his wife.

"I hope I'm making a right decision in involving her into this." Serafino said and deeply sighed.

"Are you alright now?" Drake asked. He was behind Katherine.

"Yes, I'm fine." Katherine said. "Thanks." Katherine continued.

"For what?" Drake asked curiously.

"For letting me use your shirt as my crying towel." Katherine said making Drake smiled.

"Your always welcome to use any of my shirts." Drake said making Katherine stopped walking and faced him. Drake was caught by surprise when Katherine looked at him so he diverted his eyes to the wall then, to the floor.

"Why are you mad?" Katherine asked.

"Me? Mad? No, of course not." Drake said.

"You're not a good liar, Draky." Katherine said. Drake heard his new name and for him, it was pleasant to his ears.

"Let's get inside and begin your training." Drake said passing through Katherine. She deeply sighed.

"Mom, Dad, I will avenge your death. I will bring justice to both of you. I will protect all of them. I miss you so much, Dad, Mom." Katherine said talking to herself.

Drake opened the door of the arena. Katherine smiled seeing her friends doing their best in their training.

"Now, let's begin." Drake said with a serious tone and transformed himself into a vampire.

"I will not be kind to you." Drake said warning her.

"Give me your best shot, Draky" Katherine said winking at Drake and signaling him to come closer to her with her index finger.

"I guess, this is it." Katherine said to herself getting ready for Drake's attack.
