Chapter 16

People who do terrible things are just terrible people.

I keep telling myself there's no problem,

but if there's no problem,

why can't I just say it out aloud?

Things fall apart.

They fall apart so hard.

You can't even put them back the way they were.

Why does everything have to be about looks?

Don't underestimate the allure of Darkness.

Even the purest hearts are drawn to it.

Quietly, slowly, they stepped into the Sanguinarians hideout. They have circled around the area not making any kind of noise. Katherine can hear their cries and sobs. She wanted to attack quickly but Drake stopped her.

"We should follow the plan so no one would get hurt." Drake said. With a nod from Drake, Amber, Thana, Dawn, and Amdis started to walk towards the guards. There were at least 20 guards outside.

"Hello, boys." Amber said with a seductive smile. They can see how the guards gulped seeing four alluring ladies in

front of them. They lustfully looked at each of the them from head to foot.

"My, my, my, what are you doing here beautiful creatures? This is a dangerous place." One of the guards spoke looking at Dawn with a naughty grin.

"Oh, we're looking for fun and we ended here." Dawn said touching the man's chest.

"We love danger." Thana said licking her lips.

"Do you want to have fun with us, boys?" Amdis asked with a wink making the boys excited.

"You two, stay here." The man said.

"Let's go somewhere private." The man pulled Amber and the rest followed leaving the two guards looking jealous because they were left behind.

"Ouch!" Guard 1 looked at his companion while rubbing his ear.

"Why?" Guard 2 asked innocently.

"Did you hit my ear?" Guard 1 asked.

"I didn't." Guard 2 said.

"Stay close to me." Drake said but he got no response.

"Kath?" He called her name.

"Damn!" Drake said because when he looked at his side, Katherine is not there.

"Psssst...!" Katherine said making the two guards looked at each other.

"Did you here that?" Guard 1 asked.

"Yeah." Guard 2 answered. They looked around but there's no one there except the two of them.

"Shit!" Drake cursed because Katherine is slowly reappearing behind the two guards.

"Hello, boys." Katherine said but before the two guards can react, Drake and Athan decapitated them immediately.

"What the hell are you thinking?" Drake said in a low voice but there was anger in it.

"You became invisible?" Athan asked amusingly not paying attention to Drake's anger.

"Yeah, guess so." Katherine said smiling making Drake rolled his eyes.

"How did you do that?" Athan asked, still amuse of what he saw.

"I don't know. I was looking at the two guards and asked myself how can I reach them without being caught then, walla I'm just right behind them." Katherine said making Athan giggled.

"You're really one of a kind." Athan said.

"Enough with that. Focus on what's the reason why we're here. And for you, stop using your powers. It might drain you." Drake said.

"Aye, aye, captain!" Katherine said saluting to Drake.

Athan laughed on Katherine's antics but when Drake looked at him, his laughs faded.

When Katherine saw Amber walking towards them, she smiled.

"How did it go?" Katherine said.

"Piece of cake." Amber said smiling.

"Everyone in place?" Drake asked talking to Amber.

"Yeah, they're ready." Amber said.

"Okay, let's go." Drake said and they entered quietly.

As they were walking, the cries and the sobs begun to get louder. Drake stopped walking.

"There are at least hundreds of them inside." Drake said.

"How did you know?" Katherine asked curiously.

"Their scents." Drake answered.

"You stay with Amber." Drake said.

"You said I should always stay close to you." Katherine said making Athan and Amber giggled.

"For now just stay with her. It's not safe..." Drake wasn't able to finish his words because they heard a scream.

"Stay here." Drake said but to his dismay, Katherine was no where to be found.

"Damn that girl!" Drake said and immediately vanished together with Amber and Athan.

"Stopped!" Katherine's voice was heard all over the place.

All of the Sanguinarians looked at her way. The man holding Amanda, Katherine's OR head, looked at her with anger in his eyes but was immediately replaced with a smirk when he smelled Katherine's scent.

"Well, well, well what do we have here? A beautiful vampire with a sweet blood all over her body." The man said licking his lips as if he was able to taste Katherine's blood without even biting her.

"Who are you?" Katherine asked with her hands closed tightly because of Amanda's state. She looked at the other hostages and she saw the fear and hopelessness in their faces making her clenched her teeth.

"Woah, a fearless one. I like it!" The man said while walking down the makeshift stage. The man halted his steps when he saw Drake, Athan, and Amber.

"I can see you brought more friends. This will be more fun. The more, the merrier." The man said with a smirk.

"This will be my last warning to you young lady. This is not a place to try your powers. There are lives involved so better think before you do silly things." Drake said with his serious tone but he was really annoyed when he saw Katherine is not listening to him.

"Katherine!" He called and pulled her to face him but he was surprised. Her eyes had a mixed color of gold and silver.

"Kath?" Amber called her friend too.

"I think she's beginning to retrieve all her powers because of her anger." Athan said.

"Kath, listen to me. You should calm down, control your powers and not let them control you." Drake said tapping Katherine's face because she looks like she's in different dimension.

"Come on, Kath!" Amber said then, slapped Katherine. Drake and Athan were flabbergasted of what Amber did.

"Ouch! That hurts Ambs!" Katherine said rubbing her face. The three sighed, relief was on their faces.

"Why did you slapped me?" Katherine asked looking at Amber irritably.

"I had to. We thought your powers consumed you." Amber said. Katherine sighed.

"I don't know what happened too but..." Katherine wasn't able to finish her sentence because they heard another scream.

"That would do. I thought you already forgot where were you." The man said holding again one of their hostages.

"Don't dare to touch him. I will repeat myself again, who are you?" Katherine asked. Her voice was full of authority and the man felt fear hearing her but didn't show it instead, he bended the man's neck to give him access of the vein he would suck blood from.

"I'm one of your worst nightmare." The man said and lessen the distance between his mouth with his fangs to the neck of his next victim but before he could even take a bite, he was pushed to the floor.

"What was that?" Amber was shocked seeing Katherine was already towering the man on the floor.

"I didn't see that coming." Amber continued. Other Sanguinarians were about to attack Katherine but with only one look from her made them stiffened their bodies.

"She's one hell of a Queen." Athan said.

Drake was looking intently on Katherine, he had to admit that Katherine is really powerful but he was also afraid of what those powers would do to her.

"Call the others, I think this is the end of our mission." Drake said and walked towards Katherine.
