Immortal Journey Of The Wu Clan's Twin Dragons

Does the death of billions of people even have any meaning to it? It's like once the number passes a certain threshold we humans are unable to imagine the severity such a scale entails. The once prosperous Immortal Domain witnessed its destruction due to an unknown disaster. A disaster that wiped out 2/3 of its entire population in mere hours. Billions, no, even trillions of lives might have been lost. After the Immortal Domain's Destruction, it was split into the Fragmented Lower Realms and the High Heavens known as the Upper Realm. However, all was not lost. From the flickering embers of life that remained, and after countless years, an Era that would eventually be known as the Resurgence Era was starting to show its first signs of brilliance. These first sparks were located in a Fragmented Realm called the Wither Daemon Realm, in which there was a planet named Daiyu. On this planet, heavenly prodigies that were born with one of the thirty rare Legendary Physiques were starting to pop up like common weeds. Longwei, a loudmouth and arrogant brat was born into the Wu Clan while possessing the third-rank Legendary Physique, the Dao Physique. He was also known as one of the six monster-level geniuses on planet Daiyu. His brother Longmin, his opposite, a quiet and reserved boy, though was an equally terrifying genius in his own right, had faded into obscurity since his birth and was estranged by their father after a certain catastrophic incident. Chapter 20- Step Aside You Old Fogie!

"That's Young Master Longwei, right? I know it’s him, who else would have such a vicious mouth despite being a little brat?"

One disciple said while clenching his teeth.

"That's not all, not only does he have a vicious mouth I even heard that he has a weird hobby. It's really malicious. He would go around in his disguise to beat up the notorious debauchees from the major sects and clans."

Another disciple chimed in and said as if he remembered all about that.

"That's right, I heard rumors about how he was constantly changing his appearance that even the members of his clan don't know how he actually looks. If it wasn't for that one time when a debauchee's uncle who was a sect elder had gotten involved and made him show his Wu Clan identity medallion to get away with his beatings, we wouldn't have known he was the notorious Debauchee Executioner."

This time the disciples were talking in hush whispers, but Longmin had been able to pick up on some of the words being thrown around.

He couldn't help but be startled at what he was hearing.

'Debauchee Executioner? Just how did my brother manage to get such a name?'

Longmin had been kept in the clan by his father ever since he was little, so he had no idea his brother had such a reputation on the outside.

Turning to look at Longwei, Longmin asked with a strange tone.

"Just how often did you go about your sadistic hobby for you to have been branded with such a title? Matter of fact, why did you even pick up such a hobby in the first place?"

"You."

Was Longwei's reply. For some reason his mood changed when he heard Longmin’s question.

Longmin didn’t realize this as his mouth became agape.

"How could I have been the reason for you to become such a sadistic maniac? You're definitely lying."

"You know little brother, I don't like how you're calling me a sadistic maniac, and I'm definitely not lying. I haven't told you this before but it's thanks to your Thousand Faces Rune Inscription that you created back when we first started cultivating that gave me the idea to do my great deeds. I even had granduncle infused his aura into the inscriptions so I could fool Sage experts… hahaha."

Longwei chuckled darkly, but it was lacking its usual scheming nature as if he wasn’t telling the whole truth.

Longmin on the other hand had a befuddled look on his face upon hearing his brother's words.

Within the crowd, the disciples were still talking.

"If that's Young Master Longwei in his disguise, does that mean that's his brother on his left?"

One disciple asked curiously.

"That's right, he's the second son of the Wu Clan Patriarch, and his name is Wu Longmin."

A disciple that was next to him responded.

One disciple close by suddenly had thought then said in a hushed tone.

"Hey, weren’t there rumors going around that he was locked up underneath the Wu Clan's mountains by his father?"

"I remember that rumor!"

Another disciple loudly exclaimed, causing the surrounding disciples to send him angry looks.

Can't he hear everyone whispering in hush tones?

However, that disciple was unaffected as he continued.

"It was circulating around the continent about six years ago. They say that it was because he went mad and killed a bunch of the Wu Clan servants."

"What?! Really?!"

A disciple who was unaware of the rumor exclaimed in utter shock.

"Yeah, I remember this rumor as well. At the time it got out everyone was talking about it, how could you not have known?"

A disciple asked in a confused tone.

Suddenly out of nowhere, a voice that contained a condemning and mocking tone spoke out slightly louder than the hundreds of other disciples.

"What sickening thing to do, despite his scholarly looks he's actually a wild beast in human form. I can't believe the Patriarch of the Wu Clan kept a son like that, if I were him I would've disowned him as my son and kicked him out of the clan. Truly disgusting."

The crowd became somewhat silent and the disciples all had surprised looks on their faces.

To think that someone would openly speak those words, was this person trying to pick a fight with the Wu Clan?

Is he crazy?!

Hearing those words, Longwei's eyes widen into a glare.

Turning to look at Longmin he saw that he lowered his head. From the looks of it, he had also heard what that person had said.

Longwei's face immediately turned ice cold and his heart began to speed up.

He wasn't angry when these people were being ungrateful towards the Wu Clan, he just couldn't stand listening to them so he made them shout up, but now, he was dangerously furious.

"Who just said that?"

Longwei barely managed to let out.

His voice wasn't loud but the remaining chattering of the disciples came to a stop nonetheless.

While looking around at the disciples in front of him waiting for a response, Longmin from behind held his hand and said with a forced smile.

"Brother, there's no need, just ignore it."

Longwei was silent for a moment before he shook his head and said.

"You might be willing to, but I can't."

Turning back to the crowd of young elites who were grouped up into six.

He pointed at a group that wore blue Daoist robes, and had a crescent moon insignia on their right chest and said.

"I heard the voice coming from this group. You're from the Crescent Moon Sect, right? If one of you doesn't step out now all of you are forbidden from entering this Lesser Pocket Realm."

"….?!!!"

The crowd of disciples was stunned.

"It was actually someone from the Crescent Moon Sect? They're the strongest Sage Sect on the Wu Continent."

A disciple said with astonishment.

A disciple followed up.

"I heard that their Patriarch is about to breakthrough and become legendary Saint realm existence. If that happens they would become a major power that can contest for the Continent's control."

"Does that mean the Crescent Moon Sect is purposely going against the Wu Clan now?"

"That's likely the case, but they haven't shown any indication of going against the Wu Clan in the past, so why do it now of all times?"

"Yeah that's right, their Patriarch hasn't actually become Saint realm existence, so the current Wu Clan can probably crush them like an ant."

One disciple snorted coldly and said.

“They're being way too arrogant, do they think just having someone in the Saint realm can make them contend against a hegemon like the Wu Clan? Do they not know where the Wu Clan stands out of all the Powers on planet Daiyu? Other than the Xingyun Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty no one can compete against the Wu Clan."

Another disciple chimed in and said.

"Exactly, why do you think they were able to maintain control over the continent despite it containing three Lesser Pocket Realms? A Pocket Realm is of massive importance to a clan or sect. With all of the natural resources within it, a small size sect could produce a Sage-level existence. The only other continent that has a Pocket Realm is the Central Continent, and they had a Greater Pocket Realm."

"Maybe that's the goal of the Crescent Moon Sect, to seize one of the Pocket Realms and expand their sect?"

A disciple said thoughtfully.

"But didn't Young Master Longwei just forbid them from entering the Pocket Realm if someone doesn't stand out? Did he perhaps know their intentions?"

As the crowd bustled with noise speculating any and everything. The two guards in black stood motionless behind Longwei and Longmin just watching the events unfold with an indifferent gaze.

Longwei was pointing at the group from the Crescent Moon Sect while staring at them with cold eyes. His behavior and demeanor at this moment resembled nothing from before.

At the back of the group, a bald old man with a white mustache and a goatee stepped out.

His name was Li Zong and he was a highly respected Elder in the Crescent Moon Sect who was in the Nascent Soul Realm. Normally with his cultivation and status, he wouldn't even deign to glance at a Foundation realm cultivator let alone converse with one. But this Foundation realm cultivator in front of him was one of the Young Masters of the Wu Clan. In terms of age and cultivation, he might be higher but his status was far inferior.

However, despite that, he still stood in front of Longwei with a placid expression on his face.

"Young Master Longwei, I think your statement is going a little too far. I do admit the earlier comment by my sect's disciple was a bit harsh, but that doesn't justify you to revoke our rights to enter the Pocket Realm. It would be better if an Elder of the older generation with greater qualifications in your clan were here to speak on this matter, instead of you yourself."

Without even offering a greeting, Elder Li said that directly while giving Longwei a sideways glance in the process.

His words made it obvious to anyone that he was trying to downplay his disciple's comment while belittling Longwei by stating that he was too young and didn't have the qualifications to decide to revoke their rights.

Longwei looked up at Elder Li while Elder Li stared down at him. Without so much of a consideration, Longwei said.

"Which grave did this old fart crawl out from? Do you think of yourself as hot stuff because you're an Elder from the Crescent Moon Sect? Step aside you old fogie!"
