Vikram moved before his brain could process what he was doing. 

He caught the child between the second floor and third floor, then hung himself from the iron grills on the balcony. 

The child started crying even louder, while kicking his feet trying to get away from Vikram. 

After all, it's a toddler, no matter how frightened he is, it's normal for kids to pull away from people other than their parents. 

Moreover, Vikram had that 'predator' aura all over him, having come off from a fight just now.
