Golden Crab

Now that his general report taking is done, Vikram entered the bustard portal to drop off the gigantism gene mod. While there are entire lakes of Aqua Regia, processing it all to get gold is a monumental effort. He decided to skip it all. 

There is a species of crab in the hinterlands, which exclusively lives in these pools of gold. They have golden shells, and are quite tasty to eat. Given there are such good natural helpers, there is no need for him to create an industrial processing unit of all things. 

Vikram chose a female crab imparted the genes. The mating period of these crabs was short, and comes every two weeks. He checked the information on his cell once more to make sure that he got it right. 

Since he just put the gene in there, soon, there should be gigantic golden crabs walking all over the place. They will process the gold, and he will just kill them to get both metal and food.
