When Vikram and buffalo boss were fighting, the swift crocodile was more than hundred meters away on the lake shore. 

It flopped its way to water laboriously, given it has no legs, and the ground was tar road instead of the lake shore. 

The lake has a half circle of road around it, hugging the banks of the lake. The shore is steep, and supported by stone structures in some places, and shallow and muddy in other places. 

There are four extremely short bridges, in the one kilometer length half circle road. 

It was a naturally formed wastewater management project. What had been a shallow swamp had been converted to a lake, which acted as a waste water bed for more than half the city. 

During olden days, this place was full of sycamores and mangroves, but those species have perished long since.
