         -------------------------------------

" Awwww....'' I yawn as the morning sun rays shine through my peach coloured window curtains.

It is a cloudy day on a Monday morning. I have to go to school, but as indolent as I can be, I grumbingly go to the bathroom, and take a very long slow shower. I hate Mondays.

After I am done, I wear a plain white top which has a writing ''I'M BAE SO BE COOL WITH ME'' with a tight dark blue jeans having a rose implanted at its right side, and a blue sneakers. After I'm done dressing, I do my hair in an afro bun, putting a black  hair band on the front of it.

Usually, I don't use makeup because I'm seventeen and not only that, from the start of things, I am never interested in it. Not satisfied with my look, I stare at myself in the mirror for over five seconds, not certain if I look sexy and simple or just simple and cute.

''Sweetie, you look simple and cute.'' my inspiring mother assures me, aware of the fact that I lack fashion skills. I smilingly turn around, and walk towards her where she leans by my room door. Just the answer I needed.

''Thanks mother.'' I say, giving her a quick hug.

''When you are done with everything, don't forget to take your lunch fare from the trinket box in my room, and meet me in the car.''

''Okay mother'' I answer in a whisper, going back to the mirror which is at the center of my enormous decorated room to take one more glance of myself.

Hastily, I run down the twenty blocks of stairs, take my black and purple stripes school bag, collect my lunch fare and join my mother in her Mercedes car. We drive off to school, and there's complete silence in the car.

I feel so bored  that I can't stop myself from switching on the car tape and tuning to my favourite radio station. Fortunately for me, I meet one is Tasha Cobbs' song playing titled 'Fill me up' which is one of my favourite songs. I start singing and my mother joins me. We sing with our horrible voices as we drive on full speed on the highway. I'm Isha Peggy Bright, and I'm seventeen years old.

A feisty, giggly, and pertinacious African adolescent.

Precisely, I have the most terrifying best friends you can imagine. They are my treasures and the only ones I can run to when in need of a partner in crime. My mother is the best mother in the world so far.  She understands me too much. More than I had ever imagined. I won't talk much of my daddy because he left us when I was five years old. Many people I come across with ask me about my daddy, and I just say the truth.

So basically, I don't know how it feels when you have a dad. That's the missing part in my life. He doesn't even care if I'm alive or dead. And we've never called him too ever since he left. Obviously, he doesn't know where we are residing, and we also don't know about his whereabouts. My life is so far good for now without him. I have short black hair,  and I'm a Sierra Leonean by nationality. I'm q nice person, but I can be insolent and strict when it comes to serious matters concerning my family and friends. In conclusion, I don't take anything for granted.
