Chapter 17: Second Round

When Thomas came back from the meeting he saw Alexandra was watching some breakfast program on her iPad

He walked behind her and announced "Miss Faucette" right behind her ear

"Oh Mr. Wolcott" flinched Alexandra

"Sorry I interrupted you but what were you watching?"

"Well, because I came to work early I couldn't watch the show I usually do so I watched the replay of it" explained Alexa

"But you didn't do the job I gave you, did you? So are you gonna write the resigning letter or should I just fire you?" asked Thomas smirking but he noticed so did Alexa

'Oh god what now?' thought Thomas

"Before anything sir, I would like for you to look here for a minute you see these files on the table there? I put them in alphabetical order as you asked," said Alex, and then she put a folder in his hands "And here is the copy oh and here are the calculations from biggest to smallest," said Alex and putting another folder in his hands "I made smallest to biggest too just in case there was a problem"

"Don't say such nonsense" said Thomas thinking she is just joking

"You can look," said Alexandra

Then he opened the folder and true to her words she did them, he angrily closed them and glared at her

"This can't be, who helped you? how did you-"

"It's my secret Mr. Wolcott," said Alex smiling innocently

While George was making some pastries his phone ringed and he was surprised that it was Martha because she would normally come to the bakery

"Yes, dear?"

"Oh George come home to the garden I made something delicious"

"Ok I am coming," said George amused, but when he got there he saw William Jones, his wife Emma, and his best friend since middle school Arnold and for some reason, Arnold had a very terrified face and was slightly shaking

They did the greeting and started eating Until William suddenly broke the silence "hey George look this is my eldest son"handing him a picture of his son

"Oh he came back from aboard?" said George surprised he hadn't seen the boy for 8 years now

"Yeah he studied abroad for 4 years and started working at a bank there for 4years and he came back having a lot of offers and proposals from other banks here in New York," said Emma with pride

"And he is single" continued William

"Really?" said George sarcastically knowing where this was going, so this was why Arnold was terrified

"George we were wondering if my son and your daughter-" said Willliam and been cut off by George

"Excuse me I have to go back to work, I forgot to lock the bakery's door," said George hiding a lot of anger, and walked to his bakery

"Hey Alex me and the others are going to the cafeteria, would you like to come?" said Eliza

"Sure" responded Alex but as soon as she stood up the telephone ringed

"Yes Mr. Wolcott.....ok I am coming," said Alex to Thomas on the telephone and turned to the girls and said "You girls go without me, maybe another time," said Alex and walked to Thomas's office

"There is a Mexican customer on the telephone and because I don't know their language you talk to them," said Thomas evilly smirking and Alexandra hesitatingly took the telephone and

Alexa spoke so fluently that Thomas's eyes widened like dinner plates and jaw dropped unbelievably low

"They asked to meet to you and I gave them the location, and since you have nothing on your schedule today, I told they could meet you today," said Alexandra expressionless and hading him the telephone back

"If you'll excuse me," said Alex and when she got out of the office while Thomas was still in shock Alex literally wanted to do a victory dance but held herself back

-time skip to Alex finally coming home-

When Alexa entered the house she heard George and Martha arguing about something so like any normal person she eavesdropped

"Martha for the last time, no"

"I am not saying for them to get married right away, they can meet each other again after so long, get to know each other and see if they could enter a relationship together or not"

"No Martha-"

"What's going on here?" asked Alexandra with disbelief

George and Martha both looked shocked they didn't hear her entering the house

"Sweetie you are back, um it's nothing we were just talking about what to have for lunch tomorrow I say chicken wings and Martha says lasagna"

"Right ok, then I will be going to my room" before Alexa entered her room she looked at Martha and George and said "If you two want some private time together and all and if I am bothering you guys or getting in your way at anyway then tell me I will move out there are apartments near my workplace, I mean people always do that as soon as they become 18 they move out and I am 22 and-"

"No sweetie you got it wrong-" said Martha but Alex cut her off before she could say anything

"good night to you both" and Alexa closed her door to her room

George and Martha look at each other not saying a word and they both knew Alex needed some time alone

Anyways they went to their room and sleep for the night

There were party streamers in the garden people dancing and eating food and having fun while George was standing in the middle of the garden dumbfounded and suddenly someone shouted "THEY HAVE ARRIVED" and George saw Alexandra his only child coming out of the car wearing a beautiful WHITE dress his eyes were widened and after her THOMAS FRIKING WOLCOTT came out of the car and they both started to walk to him"Mister Faucette remember the day Alexandra punched me twice, you choked me and your wife finally get hit by the pan on my head which caused me to collapse?" asked Thomas happily despite what he said

"Yeah? was that a good thing?" said George confused

"Of course it was because all those hits made me have romantic feeling for Alexandra," said. Thomas holding Alexandra's waist

"Don't worry one bit we will be happy until the end" continued Thomas

"I think so too," said Alexandra lovingly looking at Thomas, and then Alexandra went to hug his father and said "you and Martha wanted for me to get married and now you have all the privacy you need," said Alex teasingly

That's when George lost it and

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

"WHAT THE- GEORGE WAKE UP," said Martha waking up because of George's screaming and started to shake him to wake up a George suddenly made a huge gasp sat up quickly, and started panting

"CAN I COME IN?!?" shouted Alex outside of the door knocking strongly

"Yes sweetie you may," said Martha

And the door was aggressively opened and Alexandra ran to her father even faster than sonic

"Dad are you ok? wait that was a stupid question, is there anything you need or-"

"Alexandra, I am fine just a horrible nightmare that's all," said George gaining his breathing back

"Are you sure dad?" asked Alexandra worryingly

"Yes sweetie don't worry yourself go back to sleep"

"Ok then but if there is anything you need just call me ok?" said Alex

"Ok ok now go to sleep and rid of your eye bags," said George with a scolding voice

"Alright alright good night guys" chuckled Alexandra

"Good night," said George and Martha in union

And went back to lay down on their bed

"So what did you dream about?" asked Martha

"Alexandra was getting married"

"If that's gonna be your reaction if Alex gets married in your DREAMS I wonder what you will do in real life.....wait don't answer, obviously you are gonna kill the dude on their wedding day," said Martha jokingly

"Of course I am gonna murder them," said George pounding and rolled the opposite side of Martha went back to sleep Martha just chuckled and also went back to sleep
