"DON'T call me 'ahjussi.'"
Zoe raised her eyebrow when Kalum Alegre warned her in a cold voice. "It's a term, not an endearment," she said. "It's not that deep."
The best way to deal with your kidnapper was to keep your mouth shut and do as you were told. It would never be wise to rile up your abductors, especially if they were stronger than you. Thus, she should have just shut her mouth.
But, for some strange reason, she felt confident.
[I feel like I can protect myself from Kalum Alegre just fine.]
"I know what 'ahjussi' means," Kalum Alegre said. This time, his voice sounded sad. "That's what Zoanne calls me."
Aww.
She found it strangely romantic.
"Are you and Zoanne really married?"
"Of course," the Demon King said proudly, then he approached her while crossing his arms over his chest. "That's why I'm telling you to bring back my Sua."
"Sua?" she asked, surprised. "Is that Zoanne's real name?"
She didn't know.
All her life, she lived as Kim Zoe.
