Chapter 1

It's hard to describe a complex being like Rehael, but most know that above all else, he's sympathetic and charismatic. Of course, he's also surprising, intuitive, and objective, but they're in shorter supply, especially considering him mixed with being argumentative as well. His sympathetic nature though is what he's most well-liked for. His subordinates regularly count on this and his decisive character whenever they need help.

Nobody's perfect, of course, and Rehael has a share of darker sides to deal with too. His criminal nature and craziness risk ruining pleasant moods and affect all around negatively. His amoral life and cruelty sour the mood many a time and reach all around. Fortunately, his charisma is there to relieve spirits when needed.

It doesn't take long to dislike Zorniz, but the fact he's aggressive and amoral is just the tip of the iceberg. To top it off, he's also hostile, dominating, and insulting, but behaviors of being persuasive as well soften their worst. But focus on him as this is what he's pretty much infamous. Multiple enemies have been made because of this and his blunt nature, but there's not much you can do about it.

Fair is fair, though; Zorniz is still a complex being with the right sides as well. He's energetic and clear-headed at the very least, all considered it could be much worse. Zorniz does have some rays of light. He's daring and freethinking at the very least, there's still a beacon of hope. Unfortunately, his amoral nature tends to ruin whatever good comes from those traits.

"Did you notice something weird about the master," said Rehael to Zorniz even though he didn't like talking to the demon.

"He was a little more open and talkative today. But besides that, he was fine for me. so we must split up from here on." Zorniz replied to Rehael.

"Yes, I believe it's time to depart our separate ways. I will go meet with the other gods to tell them about the arrangement this year, and you will go to the servants to clean up the throne room." Rehael said with pride.

"Who's the God that was supposed to hold the meeting this year if the Master didn't keep it," asked Zorniz.

"This year, the meeting was supposed to be held at The Secret God's realm," Rehael told Zorniz. After that, they both went to do their jobs. Rehael passes forward through a grand portal. A secretive world immediately meets him.

The air is thick with smoke, obstructing Rehael vision beyond a few meters. A sense of calm takes hold of him. This realm is what Rehael was looking for, but something in the air is affecting his mind.

Regardless of the horrible conditions, he was at ease, and he felt secure in this world. In the nearby proximity, he begins to see the shapes of beings beyond the mortal world.

Some have noticed him, and their interest has peaked, the cautious path would be the best one. Rehael can see huge creatures, massive creatures, and what you think might be chunky creatures of some sort. These creatures were the Gods and Goddesses. He was meant to inform them of the changes this year for the meeting to them.

Rehael looks at the sky as if to try and figure out the time as he set foot upon uncharted terrain.

" Well well well look who we have here. What are you doing here? If you come to tell us that the Ancient One won't be joining us again this year, then we already know." said Alerie, the Goddess of Caravans and Sovereignty. Some of the other gods were nodding to her words.

"Oh, be quiet, you. We do not know if the Ancient One is coming or not. Don't jump into conclusions immediately." replied Wilsch, God of Thorns to her.

"I've come bearing a message from the ancient one. The meeting will be held in his throne room this year. And all attendance is mandatory." said Rehael to all the gods and goddesses in the realm. After saying those words, they all look at him in surprise and a little fear. The old gods were excited since they will meet the ancient one again. But the younger gods were a bit scared and apprehensive. The new gods have never met the ancient one, so they were weary on how to feel about him.

"Are you sure that's what he said, Rehael?" Wilsch asked Rehael once more. Rehael just nodded. Rehael then told them to be there in an hour or so then left the gods to their thoughts. There was once thing they all could agree with and that this year's meeting was full of surprises.

While Rehael went to inform the gods about the new place to hold the meeting. Zorniz was busy looking for the lower angels and demons to fix up the Throne Room. After a while, he finds three angels and two demons. Lower level angels and demons had a more human form for some reason, and it was easy to find them this way,

The first angel was Perpetiel. Standing tall and broad with tan skin, this man has a harsh feel about him. He has alert copper eyes, and his shoulder-length, curly, light brown hair is spiky. He usually wears clean, mismatched clothes that are loose. He usually wears bright, elaborate garments that are mostly earth-colored and modest, and he wears no jewelry. With translucent wings look like those of a swallowtail butterfly combined with willow leaves. Their colors put you in mind of the night sky.

Next was Elyon. Standing 5' 8" tall, this olive-skinned man has an aloof feel about him. He has a square face with a round chin, a large nose, angled lips, and his purple eyes are deep-set. He has long arms and large hands, a long torso with a well-defined waist, and toned legs. He usually wears stylish clothes that are mostly colorful and loose, and he wears glasses. With translucent wings look like those of a luna moth combined with walnut leaves. Their colors put you in mind of a beautiful sunset.

Lastly was Suriel. Standing 4' 9" tall, this dark-skinned woman has a very worldly feel about her. She has an angular face, a broad nose, and puffy lips. Her brown eyes are almond-shaped, and she has thin eyebrows. She has weak arms, a soft torso with a regular waist, wide hips, and short legs. She usually wears clean, everyday clothes that are mostly pastel-colored, and she wears a necklace. She is generally seen wearing a specific neckerchief. With wings are shaped like those of an eagle. Their colors put you in mind of a cherry tree.

Next, there was a pair of twin Demons. Their name was Drollmaren and Vazgon. They stood 5' 10" tall; these cream skinned men have a recognizable feel about them. They have a triangular face with a pointed chin, a hooked nose, large ears, rosy cheeks, and narrow lips. Their blue eyes are thin, and they have neat eyebrows. Both have short, thick, red hair that is pulled into a bun and with a 5 o'clock shadow.

They wear a poor-quality foundation, complimentary eyeshadow, vivid blush, flattering eyeliner, and cerulean lipstick. Both have toned arms, a narrow torso, and toned legs. They usually wear fashionable clothes that are mostly black and slightly too big and wear no jewelry. They are generally seen wearing a custom-made waistcoat. With horns resemble a cross between a pair of ram's horns and the business end of a garden rake.

"The Ancient One has requested that the throne-room be cleansed. Since you five are the only ones, I could find at the moment notice you who will be in charge of it. While I go and get his outfit ready for the meeting." said Zorniz to the group before him. The group looked at each other and just nodded quietly and left to do their job. Zorniz went to the vault where he would get the headpiece the ancient one will wear for the meeting since the headpiece cannot be summoned or formed from thin air. This delicate silver headpiece comes down to the middle of the forehead. It's set sparingly with colorless gems. It has a design evocative of Edwardian aesthetics and reaches 4 and 1/2 inches at its tallest point.

"Let's all hope this meeting doesn't go down the hill," Zorniz quietly whispered.
