Wait... Don't Tell Me...

I was just a cashier at a sizable coffee shop in my town. I worked as a cashier for almost 5 years, but my salary never got an increase at all. I had no choice but to stay afloat or I wouldn't be able to make ends meet.

Until I suddenly woke up in this room as a daughter of Duke Damanor's family. I transmigrated into his daughter's body exactly 3 years before her death.

I didn't understand what exactly happened until this point, because everything was different from what was in the book. But I have to find out what really happened.

"My name is Eleanor Sophia Damanor. I will be your new step sister. I hope we can be as close to each other as siblings," said Eleanor, who was supposed to be the female lead in this story.

Finally she appeared, she was really beautiful like my imagination and her voice was also very soft. But if I'm Celestial, does that mean I have to be mean to her? I'm the villain character and she's the female lead that I'm supposed to bully.

But if I do that, it means I'll end up the same as the original Celestial in the novel. Burning to death alone with no one to care about her.

I can't let that happen. Should I turn Celestial into another character in this story? Trying to survive so as not to end up just like her.

But one thing I'm still confused about, right now I see my two twin brothers staring at Eleanor with a look of displeasure at her presence. Even though in the novel they were very fond of Eleanor and preferred her to Celestial.

"She is the daughter of Abelia and also Frederick. Abelia and Frederick had died in an accident when they were traveling. So we decided to adopt her," said the father explaining who Eleanor's real parents were.

Are Abelia and Frederick distant relatives? This was never mentioned in the novel.

But suddenly Roxarion said something that seemed to intimidate Eleanor.

"Wait Lord Frederick is married to Abelia that Abelia? That's very surprising to me. I didn't think someone like him would marry a woman like Abelia," he commented.

That comment actually made Eleanor silent, with her head bowed as if she felt sad when her mother's reputation kept being talked about. I don't understand what's going on and who is Abelia?

But that was immediately stopped by Lexion, asking her not to say anything like that.

Roxarion looked forced to nod, then turned his face to look at me.

Little did I know that they were all waiting for a response from me about Eleanor's arrival.

"So what do you think Celest?"

"My opinion? I don't think this is a bad idea. I'll have a sister to share some of the things that only girls do. So I think this will be a good thing for me and I hope so for you guys," I said because I didn't know what to tell them.

In the story, Eleanor was a kind and cheerful girl. It's just that Celestial keeps bothering her and bullying her. So if I didn't do it, nothing bad would happen because of her, right?

That was my first thought.

I saw her smile at me, then walk over to me and hold my hand.

"I really wish I had a sister too, I want to be able to share and do many things together like drinking tea, reading books or other things that girls usually do," she said softly which made me smile too.

I was silent as I stared at her.

How could Celestial be so mean to her, when she was so kind and the touch of her hand was also very gentle. Doesn't it feel so strange?

Or maybe there was something else Celestial was hiding from everyone.

Was she jealous of Eleanor's presence in the mansion? But everything seemed normal, everyone loved me even more, even after a few days had passed since her arrival here.

Both mother and father were very cold towards Eleanor, as were my two brothers. They seemed to dislike her, which made me not understand how they could dislike her when they were supposed to love her in the books.

Because I felt that something was wrong, I tried to remain kind to her so that she would feel welcome in this family. I accompanied her when she was alone, invited her to drink tea and even did some things together.

"Celest, can we talk for a moment?" called Lexion to me.

"Of course," I replied and followed him to my room.

I began to get used to and memorize every location in this big mansion, because I was currently a Celestial and I had to be able to survive so that I wouldn't end up like her.

"It seems that you already trust Eleanor very much. Do you really like her existence?" he asked me.

I nodded my head, saying there was nothing wrong with the girl. But Lexion seemed dissatisfied with my answer, which made me feel confused. If in the past they hated her, and loved the Celestial, that was me. Then why after all of this time, everything is exactly the opposite of what it is today.

"I see, I was just wondering why you got along with her so quickly. It even seems like she always follows what you like."

"Really? Maybe because we always spend time together, she follows what I like. Isn't that a normal thing?"

He shook his head, saying it wasn't normal but Eleanor seemed to be trying to get into our family by following what I did.

"It's not normal, and I think you should open your eyes more clearly to this," she said again to me as I slowly began to think about it.

Could it be that she intends to replace me? By doing what I used to do she can replace me in this family?

That's not possible, right? She was the kindest character in this story, she couldn't possibly have such evil thoughts to replace Celestial's existence.

But I just nodded my head when he told me to be on guard so that nothing bad would happen.

"It's not everyone you can trust, especially if he's of Abelia descent. You know she's very famous in various kingdoms, right? Abelia Rose Maxwelion."

I didn't even recognize the name at all, how could I know what was wrong with her family, especially her mother.

"Don't worry, I trust her and I'm sure she's not as bad a person as we think. Her mom may have a bad reputation, but that doesn't mean she's like that, right?" I said.

"I know, but I'm just warning you as my little sister because I don't want anything bad to happen to you," he said while rubbing my head which made me feel happy to have a family that cares about me.

But if I take a wrong step, he will definitely use this hand to slap me and even push me away like he did to Celestial in the future before she finally died.

Lexion then left the room, I sat on the edge of my bed trying to gather all the things I had found during the nearly one week of being awake in this place.

"So Eleanor was one of the children of a relative of the Damanor family. And her mother had a bad reputation so no one wanted to adopt her except this family who seemed to be forced to do so," I mumbled.

"Then they're being very kind and loving to Celestial right now, contrary to what i know in the book. That means that on a day that is not told, Celestial made one mistake that resulted in them all turning the tables, that is, hating her. But what move did she make that had such a profound effect on the end of her life?"

Could it be that she did feel jealous when her parents and her two older brothers started paying attention to Eleanor?

Or perhaps Celestial was just a foothold for Eleanor to enter this family by approaching her.

Does that mean that all this time all Celestial's suffering started from Eleanor?

She was really trying to take her place, by doing all the things Celestial did so that she would also be considered by this family.
