Chapter 10

Ethan already decided what he wanted to tame a few days ago. There were many kinds of animals he can tame for example cats, dogs, chicken and many more. When he went to hunt for baby slimes, he found out that he gets tired a lot while walking searching for the baby slimes. So, he needed an animal that he can ride. He at first thought that horse would be good but he decided on another animal.

Southern Area of Eplia City specialized in meats. So, there were a lot of people opening a rancher. How can they open a rancher in the middle of big city like Eplia? The answer is space room. Space room use space elements to create a separate space from this world. The cost of one space room was astronomical much more expensive than buying a skill. There were a lot of rancher here raising animals and monsters for their meats.

Ethan was standing in front of a building. It was a butcher shop. He gets inside and were greeted by an old lady "Welcome. How can I help you, young boy?"

"I want to buy water buffalo. I heard that this butcher has ranch that raise water buffalo," asked Ethan.

"Yes, we do have water buffalo. Are you going to open a restaurant?" asked the old lady kindly.

"No, I'm not opening a restaurant. I have Tame skill and I want to tame some animals to make as my companion," said Ethan politely.

"Are you going to use them to fight monster?" asked the old lady shocked.

"No, no, I'm going to use it as my ride and when I need to travel far in the future, I can use the water buffalo to pull my cart," said Ethan panicked.

"Oh but Isn't horse better than water buffalo?" asked the old lady again.

"I like water buffalo more. They are cooler with those two big horns," said Ethan excitedly. Ethan used to live as a farmer and water buffalo was used a lot tilting the lands though using earth magic was much more efficient.

"Ohohoho, you are a funny boy," said the old lady while laughing "Follow me," said the old lady.

While they were walking towards the back of the shop, Ethan was looking around the shop and wondered how will the old lady butcher the meat? There was no other people in the shop. Ethan was a bit shortsighted in this. Normal animals can easily be handle by a Rank 0 no matter how old the person was.

"Ok, here it is," said the old woman.

They were standing in front of a room at the back of the shop. The old woman opened the door and entered with Ethan. Inside the room was a vast prairie with many kinds of animals. There were cows, goats, sheep and many more. Ethan was dumbfounded by how many animals were there. There were a lot of people here too. The old lady leads Ethan to a pack of water buffalo.

"You can choose your water buffalo now," said the old lady.

"Yes." Ethan start choosing the water buffalo. All the water buffalo in front of him was black and muscular. Ethan didn't know how to choose a good one so he randomly chose two of them. He chose the one that looks strong and sturdy.

"You can tame them now if you want," said the old lady.

Ethan nodded and stretch his arm towards the two water buffalo and cast "Tame." Faint light enveloped the two water buffalo.

'Ting~ You tame two water buffalo. The two water buffalo's stats can now be viewed by the tamer'

Ethan smile. "All done. Let's go home my two new companion" said Ethan happily.

"You're not going to put them in the storage?" asked the old lady.

"I don't have much budget right now to get myself a storage equipment," said Ethan.

The old lady smiled and said, "You can't store living beings inside a storage equipment. For a tamer, you can get yourself the skill Tame: Storage. Any animals or monsters you tame can be stored using this skill so that it will be easier to summon them,"

"Thank you for telling me that," said Ethan

Ethan paid the old lady and left the shop.

Ethan's Home.

Ethan was standing in front of his house with the two water buffalo.

"Status – water buffalo" the water buffalo stats appeared.

Water Buffalo 2 – HP – 9 / MP – 1 / STR – 6 / END – 7 / INT – 2 / WIS – 1 / AGI – 5

"Hmm~ water buffalo 2 HP is really high. Let's try my fusion skills. Fusion: Monsters water buffalo 1 and water buffalo 2,"

'Ting~' a new menu suddenly appeared in front of Ethan. The menu had one big square box and 5 small square box below the big square box. On the big box were words 'Main' and all the 5 small boxes were words 'fusion material'.

'Put the animals and monster you want to strengthen on the big box and put the ingredients animals and monsters in the small box' the system notified Ethan. Ethan put the water buffalo 1 in the big box and water buffalo 2 in the small box. "Fusion: Monster" water buffalo 2 vanished and water buffalo 1 was enveloped in light

'Ting~ Fusion complete. Water buffalo 1 strengthen. Due to limiter, water buffalo 1 HP, STR and END exceed the limit. The exceed stats points were added to other stats'

'Due to the fusion skill, water buffalo 1 is now a monster. Water buffalo 1 can now level up and rank up the same as normal monsters. Water buffalo 1 can also learn skill and possess talents.'

Many information appeared in front of Ethan. Ethan was shocked with everything the system just informed him. From what he can understand, he can strengthen his monster by using other monster as material. He can use maximum 5 monsters as materials in a single fusion. What surprise him more was that water buffalo 1 was now a monsters and not animals. He can learn skills and have talents. Other than that, water buffalo 1 was now a part of Ethan's party. When water buffalo was tame earlier, he wasn't considered a part of Ethan's party maybe due to its being a normal animal. Ethan's special skills also affect his party. This was news to Ethan and he wondered if he formed a party with other Ranker in the future, will they also be able to use his special skills?

"Let's leave that for later. Now that water buffalo 1 is part of my party, I need to name him," said Ethan.

"What names do you like?" asked Ethan to water buffalo 1. Water buffalo 1 not responding and stared Ethan.

"What about Wabu? Wa from water and bu from buffalo," asked Ethan. The water buffalo shakes its head.

"Wafu?" the water buffalo sighed while his head drop, "You nod! Ok, starting today your name is Wafu," wafu shocked. He didn't agree to that but he can't protest to that since Ethan looked so happy.

"You need to learn skills so you can fight too. You have null element talent and luckily I have Null: Tackle with me"

"Next is talents absorb," Ethan brought a bucket of water in front of Wafu and "Talents absorb" the water disappeared and Wafu water talent increased to 2%.

"Urm~ how to increase null talent?" Ethan didn't know how to increased null talents. Ethan suddenly thought of something. He pulled out the last Null: Tackle he had saved before and "Talents absorb" the Null: Tackle disappeared and…

Ethan was really surprised by this. Talents absorb works on skill too and it increased the talent a lot. Not just that, it also strengthened the skill of the same elements too.

"There must be a lot of other things that I don't know about my special skills. Just like newborn which has special effect, the other special skills might have special effect too. I'm really lucky," Ethan smile.

"Now that I'm stronger and have Wafu with me, I can register as adventurer and start doing quests"
