Seeing how late it was, Henry knew he should have expected most of the knights to be back from the palace. He felt so ashamed at what everyone had to witness his ploy to get his head on straight. The ice-cold water and the cool night air certainly brought him back to reality in an instant.
Only a few dared move forward and see what was the matter with their beloved knight. The most prominent being Commander Lothian who stared at Henry with narrowed eyes and arms crossed over his barrel of a chest.
The last time he had seen Henry he had been intent on escaping the palace but it seemed the man had remained for far longer than they expected. He didn't realize the royal carriage the knights had passed on the way back to his fief was carrying Henry and not a random noble.
"What's the matter with you?" the commander asked Henry in a gruff tone.
