"Just came to see you," Liu Chao settled on the sofa beside her, "I've called you so many times these past days, why didn't you answer any of them?"
In that time, he had been dealing with his father's funeral arrangements and hadn't come to the company.
But he hadn't forgotten to try contacting Chen Yuting.
Yet, each time he called, Chen Yuting wouldn't pick up.
Today, after having taken care of his father's final matters, he came over.
"I've been busy and didn't notice," Chen Yuting's expression remained unchanged.
It wasn't that she hadn't noticed, but that she didn't want to answer Liu Chao's calls.
"Oh, after you get off work today, let's go grab some dinner," Liu Chao, knowing full well that Chen Yuting was making excuses, did not expose her but extended the invitation instead.
"No, my mom asked me to come home for dinner tonight, and I already promised her," Chen Yuting shook her head in refusal.
"Oh, then how about tomorrow night?" Liu Chao asked indifferently.
