Ha Joon stood in the center of the room, pacing back and forth while stretching his arms in a warm-up fashion.
'Okay, remember, no matter how strong and impressive you are, you're still a good person, yeah, a good soul. Now that that's settled, let's do this'.
He stretched his hand forward.
Magic sparked from his chest and began to flow throughout his body. It felt weird, like his blood was actually syncing with the magic and copying its flow.
It networked towards his arms and made it to his fingertips. It was time.
Ha Joon's eyes snapped open-
"Fuayaaaa balluuuuu!!!".
The flames puffed out from his palm like gas and then flickered into a small flame, dancing in front of him.
His expression went numb.
"Eh?... What is it? You're kidding me right?" He uttered out loud.
This was definitely not what he was expecting. He had imagined a huge rush of fire from his hand, but instead, he got a small gas cooker in front of him.
'System...what am I looking at here?'.
[You seem to have used the Novice skill Fire manipulation]
'Uh huh, okay, good... why exactly is my flame so small?'.
[Mainly because it is still at Novice level, its capabilities are still on a low level]
Ha Joon settled on the ground, 'Of course, I should have thought of that. Sigh! Now what? I have to keep using the flames so it can evolve?'.
[You seem to lack a lot of understanding about how flames work. Learning more about a certain skill will greatly help you.]
'I'm not trying to get back to physics class.' Ha Joon laid on the ground, 'If anything, I want to complete this quest quickly, I'm kinda curious to see how it goes'.
'System, show me potential skills I can easily learn from my skill box. Something I can use in battle.'
[The skills that can easily be learned are the novice skill Construct, and the novice skill Sword art]
'Oh? Weird, I know I've seen these skills in my skill box, but I don't think I knew what they could do, and somehow I have knowledge of it'.
[This is due to your instant learning and intelligence]
'Ohhh... so basically, Constructs lets me use mana to create weapons, like Lego blocks, but seeing as it's Novice level, I doubt I can create anything meaningful. And sword art basically makes me a good swordsman, a cheat code for sword training if you will'.
[Correct].
'Okay good enough.' Ha Joon stretched his hand forward.
Once again, he felt the mana surge from his chest before it began to spread around his body.
"Construct!".
Blue light glowed from his hand and immediately a small stick constructed itself from the base all the way to the tip.
It wasn't necessarily made of wood, rather it was simply magic bricks, and from the look of it, it didn't seem like it could take more than one strike.
'Oh damn, I was thinking of a plank, but this is still just as impressive.' Ha Joon said with a smile.
For one, he had been calm since he arrived in this new world. But actually using magic was enough to make the young lad burst out with happiness.
"Okay let's go again."
He closed his eyes this time.
"Construct!"
The faint light glowed and in his hand was a solid dick, arched in such a way it felt like an anchor.
'Urghh! My bad, I didn't mean to imagine that at the last second.' He said with a weird smirk.
But at least now he knew how the magic worked, unlike the fire manipulation. Now, he just needed to practice more to evolve the skill into something he could actually use.
*4 hours later*
[Congratulations, The skill Novice Construct has evolved into an Amateur skill]
[You have gained +1 Vitality]
A worn-out smile played on his face as Ha Joon laid on the ground, clenched in his lifeless hand, a blade he had created, although chipped, still looked better than what he had been creating.
'Ahh, about goddamn time, I thought I was going to be here forever.' He slowly sat up, now staring at the ground - exhausted.
'Ehhh? At this point I might actually die before I even get to fight a knight. Why is getting strong so hard? As for the system, aren't you supposed to make my journey easier?'.
[Correct.]
'Correct my ass!' Ha Joon sighed, 'I'm way too tired, I should go take a shower.'
He gently stood up from the ground, the blue blade in his hand disintegrating into the air as he began to stretch.
"Ah... wait, I haven't had my bath since I arrived. Eh? Do they even have bathrooms? Seriously?".
....
Ha Joon stepped out of the room, peeping in the hallway to see if he could find any maid he could ask about the bathroom.
Once he got out, he noticed no one was in the hall, and it was a very long hall, one that if he tried to run, he would most likely collapse before he got to the end.
Sigh ~!
'Rich people and using money to create problems for themselves. How the hell am I supposed to find a maid now?'.
His eyes picked up on the grand staircase just a short distance away from him. Its marble steps curved gracefully downward, the banister a work of art in carved wood and gold leaf.
Without thinking twice, Ha Joon placed his hand on the pillar and leaped down.
Baam!
He was falling to the ground, his feet set and ready to balance his fall. But then, out of nowhere, the same knight he had seen slicing a man in two appeared on his landing spot.
Ha Joon's eyes widened in shock, but he was already too far down to change his trajectory.
The knight, completely oblivious to Ha Joon, was soon met with a heavy collision. Ha Joon's forehead slammed against her, and in an effort to turn, he accidentally grabbed her by the breasts.
The both of them crashed to the ground violently. Silence immediately taking over.
