I Ruined Mr. Tyrant's Wedding

Allison Gray is Miss Wrecker. She gets paid for ruining relationships. But she has one rule to this job: Never ruin a good relationship. So when she was offered a job to ruin Evan Mori's wedding, she took it and didn't hesitate. After all, it was only a marriage for business and the bride has a hidden lover. She portrayed her role perfectly and ruined the wedding day, but there's one big complication: Evan Mori turns out to be her new boss and the tyrant demands for compensation she can't afford: her hand in marriage. - "What exactly do you want from me, Mr. Mori?" "I told you, I want a bride. You took my bride, you bring me another one." She snickered. "You want me to become a matchmaker?" "No, sweetheart," he stood from his seat and leaned forward. Both his hands were flat on the table as he crouched and peered down at Allie's piercing eyes. Evan stared at her green eyes darkly. They were so alive like a lovely summer forest, yet at the same time they were unnervingly cold and fearless. He didn't like her defiance. "You will take her place. You will be my bride."

A Perfect Solution

Allie's jaw dropped. What kind of madness had she just heard?

"Are you crazy?" she didn't bother being polite now. She was on the verge of punching Evan's face!

"Mr. Mori," she sucked in her breath, "you can't be serious, right?"

Evan straightened up his back. "I am serious."

Allie stood up. She eyed him sharply.

"Marriage is not a joke, Mr. Mori. If it is for you, then it is not for me. I don't know why you are so hellbent on marrying when you're obviously not ready for it, but leave me out of your plans. Get even with me the way you want to, but leave other people alone. If you want, I can leave Code Vision."

"You are not allowed to leave. You are the lead developer. It was you who made those projects profitable and worth investing in, so you can't leave, Miss Gray. If you do that, I no longer want Code Vision." He smiled brutely.

"But if you don't give me what you owe me, the acquisition won't push through," he said firmly. "You owe me a bride, Miss Gray."

"That's so unprofessional of you. What's between us is a personal matter, Mr. Mori. If you're truly a businessman, don't mix personal life with work."

He walked to the other side of the table, stopping a foot away from her.

"I do business the way I want to, Miss Gray, and my marriage is just business."

The way he sounded so confident made Allie think that he was so sure she would agree to his wicked proposal. It infuriated her.

"If you can afford to lose Code Vision's projects, then that's your loss, Mr. Mori," she said before storming out of the room.

She was beyond livid that her nostrils were flaring as she left the building!

Meanwhile, Evan stood in his office, looking beyond the glass wall.

His secretary, Newton, was beside him.

"Are you sure about your plan, Mr. Mori?" Newton asked. The lanky guy was a couple of inches shorter than Evan.

"Mmm," Evan's lips twisted deviously. "I don't know why she is living this kind of life, but I know I can use her against her family. She is the best weapon."

"But it seems like she is not willing to cooperate. What if she doesn't really care if Code Vision doesn't get acquired by Lotus Tech? Code Vision's projects will help our softwares. We can't lose it."

Evan didn't look the least bit worried.

"For now, let's just wait and see."

Allie entered the executive's office of Redlip's building. It was only a four-storey building, unassuming and barely noticeable in the bustling city of Claymount. It was designed that way to not attract unwanted attention.

In the CEO's office, a middle-aged woman sat behind a desk, reading some paper works. She wore a full-sleeved black dress, red lipstick, and her hair was tired in a classic bun. She looked younger than her age and very sophisticated.

"Madam Vivienne," Allie greeted and the woman looked up to see her standing in front of her desk.

"Oh, Scarlet!"

In Redlip, they always used their aliases, so Allie was always called 'Scarlet' by her boss.

"Everything went well with your job. It was well done, Scarlet. You always produce good results as expected!" Madam Vivienne laughed enthusiastically.

"Thank you, but we have a problem."

It was only then Vivienne noticed Allie's spiteful eyes as if someone had infuriated her.

"What do you mean, Scarlet?"

"Evan Mori knows about me and our agency. I don't know how that is possible, but he knows more than necessary. I suspect that he was given an insider's information. Someone is betraying us, Madam Vivienne."

Redlip wasn't just an ordinary business. Their services were borderline illegal so they do things with utmost confidentiality. The agents barely know each other's personal lives. Only Redlip's CEO could access the agents' profiles.

Madam Vivienne wouldn't expose anything about her discreet business, so Allie thought that there must be an agent who went through the agents' profiles, bribed by Evan Mori.

This news horrified Madam Vivienne.

"So, is he pressing charges? Oh my goodness, this is going to be a disaster!" she panicked.

Allie sighed. She needed the agency for certain reasons so she couldn't lose Redlip.

"No, he wouldn't. He said he wouldn't sue me or the agency. He's asking for compensation and I will give it to him."

Madam Vivienne calmed down.

"He's asking you to pay the damages then?"

"No. Don't worry, I will take care of it. I'm just here to inform you about what happened."

On the way to Redlip's building, Allie had thought about her dilemma. Evan mentioned that he only wanted a bride and it didn't matter who it was.

So she found a solution. She would find Evan Mori a perfect bride to marry!

Walking out of Redlip's building, she called Cole.

"Get me a list of all unmarried ladies from upper class families in Claymount. Those who are eligible to be Evan Mori's wife."
