The party.

"Hahaha slow down, Tess!" Mio said as we all ran to the main hall.

Mio and Tess seemed to be getting on very well and they were all smiles. It was kind of nice seeing this atmosphere.

We approached the main halls big double doors and we could already hear music being played and the sounds of laughter and chatting coming from inside.

"Let's go in!" Tess said as she pushed open the doors while yanking me by the wrists to follow her in.

We went inside and we were greeted with the scent of food and drinks and the sound of happy laughter along with music. Everyone seemed to be happy and danced around with their friends or partners, not that I had any clue or any care for that matter.

"Wanna grab something to eat?" Tess said to me with a big grin.

"I don't mind." I replied so Tess dragged me off to a table that had a bunch of bite sized foods.

She grabbed some sandwiches and passed me one.

"Hm? Everyone seems to be looking at us?" Tess said.

"Well yeah. We are probably the best looking at this whole party." Mio said with a smirk.

"Well aren't you feeding your ego." Tess chuckled.

"It's true though, is it not? go on, pick someone in this room who is better looking than me, yourself and Kiera." Mio said back to Tess.

"Well I'm going to need to get a good look at them all then." Tess said as she examined everyone here.

"I guess your right. Everyone seems about.. average?" Tess said after she finished looking around the room.

"My point precisely." Mio said with a small laugh, "anyway want me to grab you guys a drink?"

"Yeah, I'll just have some champagne. Pink champagne preferably if they have any." Tess said.

"Okay, I'll just grab you some water then Kiera since you are underage." Mio said as she pranced off.

"She doesn't know that you're actually underage as well in dragon terms." I said as I looked over at Tess.

"She doesn't need to know either. Why would I tell her that I'm a dragon anyway?" Tess said as she smiled.

"Right. Anyway I just wanted to say this since you brought up the fact she doesn't know we are dragons but Scarlet actually knows I'm a dragon." I said nonchalantly.

"What!"

"Lower your voice before everyone in this room knows." I said.

"Sorry, how did she find out?"

"In the dungeon. I used my wings and she found out. She doesn't want to harm dragons anyway so it's fine." I replied.

"You shouldn't trust her." Tess said looking at me in disbelief and concern.

"I don't trust her. Doesn't matter anyway, she hasn't told her and even if she does I'll just run since I don't have enough power.. yet."

"Haaah- fine whatever. You do you. Tell me if something happens though!" Tess said.

"Okay."

"What are you guys talking about?" Mio said as she returned.

"Just a little small talk about what I did in the dungeons with Scarlet." I said as I took the glass of water Mio offered me.

"Scarlet? You mean one of the instructors?" Mio asked as she gave Tess her pink champagne and sipped on her wine.

"Yes. She took me to a low ranking dungeon but it morphed or whatever you call it and had an A+ rank boss if I remember correctly." I said with a straight face.

"*cough* you're being serious?! A+?! *cough* re- *cough* really?" Mio said as she started choking on her wine.

"Yes? I am."

'System it was an A+ rank monster in the form of a bear, right?'

"How the hell did you survive? Scarlet wouldn't have been able to kill it?" Mio said looking at we with pure shock.

"I killed it? I think? I don't remember. Scarlet and I fought it, Scarlet got hit and could barely stand, I continued to fight it, the boss got serious and expanded its domain and after i went through the illusion from its domain I woke up and saw my hands covered in blood and the dead body of the boss in front of me with Scarlet staring at me." I said.

"You're acting as if you just saw an ant on the side of the street." Mio said as she continued staring at me wide eyed. Tess also looked a little shocked.

"Well it doesn't matter. What did you want me here for anyway?" I asked Tess.

"Just because I wanted you with me." Tess replied.

"Anyway what do you guys want to talk about?" Tess asked us.

"Hm? I don't know? Romance? What we like? Family? Stuff?" Mio replied then looked at me.

"I don't know." I said, "whatever?" I shrugged.

"Hello ladies." A boy said as he approached us out of nowhere. I knew where he came from though but Tess and Mio didn't.

"Would you fine ladies have a dance with me?" He said as he bowed, "I'm Casper by the way." He said as he looked up.

"Um no thanks?" Mio said turning her head away.

"Sorry I don't want to dance." Tess said to the dejected looking boy who then turned his head to me.

"No." I said bluntly.

"Apologies for wasting your time. I'll just leave then." He said as he scampered off into the crowds of people.

"You replied rather straight up, huh Kiera." Mio said as she giggled to me.

"I answered honestly?" I said back.

"Is she always like this?" Mio said as she looked at Tess.

"Yes she is. She is very kind and caring though but most don't realise." Tess replied with a smile.

"Kind?" I questioned.

"Ignore that." Tess relied.

'I'm kind?' I thought to myself. 'How?'

"You mean like when she saved you?" Mio asked.

"Yeah. She didn't have to do that." Tess said with a smile.

"You could've been killed from Iris's attack. I'm stunned that the referee didn't realise that and I'm shocked he put you back in battle after you woke up as well." Mio grumbled.

"I didn't mind. We couldn't really leave the audience without their entertainment could we." Tess replied.

"I could've just fought Mio early and you would've had a break." I said.

"Did you not pose that idea to him?" Mio said to me.

"I did but he said that we were going to be the finale so it was a no." I replied.

"That's stupid. I wouldn't have minded that either." Mio said.

"It's really fine. I would've lost anyway." Tess said.

"Don't put yourself down like that." Mio said placing a hand on Tess's shoulder.

"89% chance of losing so you had an 11% chance to win. If you had more energy you could have. Although the chances are slim." I said.

"I guess so." Tess said as she ate her sandwich.

Time passed quickly and the party went on further into the night as we danced, talked and ate together.

"*hic* Kieraaaaa-"

"What is it Tess?" I said looking at Tess who had red cheeks.

"Come *hic* here."

"You're drunk."

"Take Tess back. I'll be fine here. Bye Kiera and Little miss drunk." Mio waved us off.

"Bye then Mio." I said as I picked up Tess in a princes carry.

"Hehehe." Tess giggled as I walked us back to the dorms.
