Another ogre.
Tess and I readied outlet weapons before I spoke in a whisper, "Tess when we fire our arrows only target the birds then I'll rush in and use my claws on the deers hooves rendering them unable to move. Don't try to shoot the slimes, the arrows aren't effective against them you've got to crush the core of the slime which is the little crystal inside it at the centre of its being, ready?"
"Yep, fire on 3, 2, 1, fire." We shot our arrows that went zooming to the birds startling the flock I brought the arrow back and Tess drew back another. After we both shot again I realised the deer noticed the arrows and were turning around about to flee, I didn't let them. I darted forwards at full speed and skidded in front of the deer and with a big slash with my skill [Scratch] I made a deep cut in the deers ankles and I then proceeded to do that with the rest of them.
All the deers collapsed and lay there waiting for their ends. It didn't come, well not yet at least. I noticed Tess was picking up the dead birds we both shot and didn't realise the 13 or so slimes approaching from behind her. I used my wings to propel me towards the hoard of slimes then skidding to a stop right in front of Tess's back.
"You realise there are like 13 slimes behind you right?" I said looking over my shoulder.
"Really, oh well you came to my rescue so I'll let you deal with them." Tess said looking at me with a smirk.
"I'll take you up on that, free EXP." I muttered the last bit to myself and I jumped at the slimes reaching my hands into each slime with great speed and force until I had 13 core in my hands. I then crushed them all into dust causing all the slimes to die, right there and then.
I dusted of my hands and said, "Have you collected all the birds?"
"Yeah that was the last one, we should go get the seat before something gets them."
"I'll go get them." I responded heading over to the deer which were just laying there unable to move.
While picking up the three deer I killed I got a notification.

'18 EXP off of a level. The requirements for levelling up is a lot more than before but I still seem to level up a lot quicker than others. I doubt this is normal.'

'Well I guess I got what I wanted then.'
I stopped my line of thoughts when I reached Tess with 3 deer in my arms.
"Can you put them in your storage ring?"
"Yeah I'll put them in now." Tess said as the deer disappeared and the ring glowed a little.
"Want to walk back to the ruins?"
"Might as well." Tess said with a giggle as she started skipping back towards the forest with me next to her.
"Why do you always seem happy for no reason?" I asked.
"That's just the way I am, why do you show no emotions?"
"I cannot say, it's just how I am I guess." I said back as I couldn't tell her about my previous life.
We were walking through the forest and we were approaching the clearing I originally landed at but this time there was a red ogre there.
"High level ogre up ahead. Wanna kill it or shall I?" I asked looking at Tess who was crouched beside me using the bushes as cover.
"Hah I can't kill that. You probably can't either." Tess said to me not taking her focus off of the ogre.
"But I can?" I said nonchalantly as I walked out from behind the bushes letting myself be seen by the ogre.
This ogre, unlike the other one I fought while protecting Violet when I was two years old, had a wooden club and a scar along its back.
'Should I check the level?'
'System can you inspect this things level, don't bother with the status and stuff.'

'Okay I think this one is 13 levels above the one I fought before, I'll try out my [Elemental breath] on this dude then.'
"Tess you stay right over there, I'll deal with this. Give me like 5 minutes."
"Your gonna get killed~" Tess said in a singing voice and whistled softly at the end.
"We will see about that." I said as I transformed Adonis into a katana.
'Let's try close combat with a sword. Never thought I would try this.' I thought stroking the blunt part of the blade.
I jumped towards the ogre with Adonis in hand and swung at its right arm. The ogre took a step back, rotating its body to avoid my strike with just a light cut across its upper arm.
'Hm you seem better than the other one other than just brute force. Let's test that a little I could use you to gain sword skills.'
I landed with a little skid picking up dust as I went before I sprung back into the air where I went for a vertical slash from the side of its neck down its chest. The ogre leaned back but was unaware of its own wight so it stumbled a little leaving me with an opening. I did a front flip and slashed down vertically again but at its shoulder as I was aiming to cut of its left arm. Unable to defend itself in time, I slashed through its thick skin and sliced of the ogres arm before pressing my feet against its chest and pushing off doing a backflip and landing a distance away from the ogre out of its reach.

"Thanks, this is my first time with a sword by the way. Also you might want to change your hiding spot, the ogres about to swing at you!" I shouted back.
"Wait really?! Agh nooo~" Tess screamed as she ran from her spot just as the ogre threw its club at the bush she was in.
I quickly jumped at the ogre after running at it from behind him. I did a horizontal slash at its knees making it stumble forward and turn its head round at me with its eyes glowing red and a thick blood lust overcoming me.
The pressure from the bloodlust weighed down on my shoulders and I could only move at just over half my speed from before.
"How troublesome, 10/10 entertainment for my third birthday." I said as I used my [Bloodlust] back at the ogre. My bloodlust was slightly stronger than the ogres and mine started to consume its bloodlust while mine grew in strength.
'Hm that's odd I didn't know [Bloodlust] could do that. I think [Steal] is allowing my [Bloodlust] to take from others from them? Maybe I'm wrong but I'm relatively certain.' I thought to myself as the ogre fully turned round after it stumbled to collect its wooden club.
My [Bloodlust] finished consuming the ogres so I stopped releasing it and the ogre charged at me.
"Too slow." I said as I hopped to the side letting the ogre go right past me and I did another horizontal swing at its right knee making a deep cut which bled green blood which streamed down to its foot. I then thrust Adonis into the large cut and twisted it causing the ogre to go limp and groan in pain.
"Looks painful." I said as I pulled out Adonis and jumped up onto the ogres shoulder stabbing right into its brain killing it.
I jumped down from the ogre and went back to where I felt Tess's presence, "All done, I'm a bid dirty right now though." I said looking down at my clothes and transforming Adonis back into its original form, the stone.
"Yeah no kidding. You've got ogre blood on your cheek. Also did you know you look pretty scary when you fight because you do it all with a straight face showing no emotion."
"Did I put you off?" I said spinning around taking a couple steps forward, "You coming or staying?"
"Ah I'm coming but what about its body?"
"Just leave it."
"Despite you looking scary your pretty cool."
"Thanks I guess, I don't know what your like when you fight. All I know is when something looks to strong you hide."
"Hey! I'm pretty strong you know? Your just abnormal and show no fear!"
"Right.. right. Let's say that shall we?"
"Are you making fun of me? I'll beat you up!"
"You can try if you want. Go ahead I'm all yours." I said turning around and spreading my arms.
"Never mind." Tess said looking to the side with an embarrassed look.
"We'll just tell me when you change your mind then." I said turning back to face the direction we were walking with Tess slightly behind me.
