I Only Acquire Legendary Items

In the year 2000, Earth underwent a great change as some humans began to evolve and gain abilities which were thought to only be fictional. Alongside this, these humans could see a detailed screen of their own information, this included their 'level' which is a measurement of a person's strength. However, this was not the most accurate way of measuring power, as 'classes' which can be innate or earned were the true measure of power. A class is what allowed people to specialise in certain areas and become exponentially stronger in that area than other people. Classes are also what allowed the use of magical abilities as only certain people were born with magic classes, and very rarely were they earned in 'The Tower'. 'The Tower', was a place that humans with powers received access to as soon as they 'awakened' which was a process which can happen at any age but always on the person's birthday. Inside the Tower, challenges awaited awakened humans on every floor and they would have to beat the challenge to survive and move on to the next floor. By doing this, greater levels of strength could be acquired, as well as great wealth. Every 10 floors in the Tower, a climber's grade is determined and they can receive the best rewards available to anyone. This was the main way people who were not innately born with classes could gain one. Years after the emergence of this information, humans had become completely accustomed to their way of life and the world's economy and technology levels had advanced dramatically. However, the most dramatic event would happen on Cyrus' 17th birthday when every awakened human was transported back to the first floor of the tower no matter how high up they had gone, or how low down they were. As well as this, the previously single person floors of the tower could become multi-player floors. Most importantly, none of them could leave.

Floor Ten

While Cyrus was walking, he realised that despite his high level, he needed to be on guard as he had never fought against a monster before. He decided to use his skill 'Arcane Sword Summoning' and a sword began to materialise in his hand.

This sword was thick and incredibly sharp, and compared to most people it would be quite large, but it fit perfectly in Cyrus' hand as he was able to swing it around with ease. It was made of black and white materials that Cyrus did not recognise, but he assumed they were high quality as his class was legendary.

While he was walking, he accidentally bumped into something that was low down and close to his feet, when he looked down to see what it was, he was greeted by the sight of a small blue blob that was trying to ram into Cyrus.

He assumed that this creature was a slime, and sliced his sword at it without making a step forward. This was not a particularly powerful attack, but Cyrus' sword easily passed through the slimes body and it dissolved into thin air.

'That was too easy, this will take like two minutes to finish the floor.'

Cyrus ran through the dungeon-like area touching every Slime that he saw with his sword, which was an insta-kill for the weak enemies. This meant he had finished the first floor incredibly fast, which was probably because his level one stats were comparable with a level ten due to his class.

Once he beat the first floor, he was teleported to the second floor.

*Welcome To The Second Floor*

*Quest: Kill Ten Goblins*

'Another easy quest.' Thought Cyrus, as he employed the strategy he had used on the previous floor to easily kill the goblins.

He wanted to get as strong as possible as quickly as possible, and the best way to do this was to clear the floors as quickly as possible. Cyrus planned to speed run every floor to be the first to leave, as that would allow him to live as much of his life as possible with his renewed confidence and new powers.

Floor Three:

The quest on floor three was to kill thirty poison slimes, they were larger than the regular slimes, and were purple in colour unlike the blue slimes. When one of them touched Cyrus' clothes, it slightly melted it, but they did not have an effect on his sword or his body. This meant the third floor was easy for him to quickly and efficiently clear.

Floor Four:

The quest on the fourth floor was to kill fifty warrior goblins that were inside of a goblin encampment. Unlike most awakeners who would at first pick off the enemies to get a number that they could deal with, Cyrus decided it would be easier to just kill all of them quickly. He tested a feature of his Arcane Sword that he knew of due to his skill 'Arcane Blade Mastery', as he swung his sword from afar and a huge energy blade, which seemed to have the elemental property of fire swirling throughout it, connected with the group of warrior goblins and they were either sliced in half, or burnt to death. This ability allowed Cyrus to create an energy sword that he could imbue multiple different types of element within.

Floor Five:

The quest on floor five was to kill fifty hobgoblins, and fifty metal slimes that were roaming around a small forest-like area. Cyrus simply ran around swinging his sword at all of the enemies he saw, as the taller goblins also known as hobgoblins stood no chance against the sword covered in lightning magic, as not only could Cyrus shoot out energy sword, he could also cover his blade in magic energy. The metal slimes were also easy to take down, as with a single fire element energy sword, their entire area was decimated and they burned to death as their bodies all melted.

Floor Six:

Floor six's quest was a bit harder, as the enemies he had to fight were one hundred shadow monkeys that were made of shadow energy and darkness. Rather than a forest, the environment of this level was a jungle, and despite the shadow monkey's ability to go invisible, it was an easy and quick floor, as the light element energy blade caused this skill to be rendered useless, as the shadow monkeys were not only revealed in the light, but they also were burned by the light.

Floor Seven:

Floor seven's quest was to defeat ten Wraiths which were ghost-like entities that were impervious to physical attacks, and unless an awakener had a magic attack, they would have to figure out that the moss in the cave had the property of being able to influence ghostly entities. However, this was not a problem for Cyrus, as a single light element energy slash from his sword was able to illuminate the cave, collapse the cave, and destroy all of the wraiths.

Floor Eight:

Floor eight's quest was to kill a single flame golem, and it was inside of a cavern with lava flowing down some of the walls. The actual golem itself was on a platform which was floating above a lake of lava. Luckily, one of the elements that Cyrus could imbue his sword with was the water element, and when he used his energy blade, it took the form of a wave and blasted the flame golem backwards. The fire that was covering the golem was put out, and its body collapsed into a large pile of rubble.

Floor Nine:

Floor nine's quest was to kill fifty zombies that were able to regenerate if they did not immediately have their brain destroyed. This floor was slightly more difficult for Cyrus, as he had to manually go around cutting every zombie's head in half to make sure they would not regenerate. Although this wasn't a difficult task, it was somewhat time consuming, as unlike the previous floors, an energy sword wouldn't guarantee a kill, as a headshot was needed one hundred percent of the time. However, it only took about five minutes, if that, and the floor was finished.

Floor Ten:

The tenth floor was the first encounter Cyrus had with a Mini Boss, as there was only a single enemy and it was incredibly powerful compared to what he had fought before. This monster was a frost Wyrm, a wingless dragon that could use ice magic and had an ice fire breath attack. It was very quick, and was able to dodge the energy swords that Cyrus used, so he actually had to fight against it. He ran for the monster as quickly as he could, which was incredibly fast, and jumped as high as possible to attack it. He reached the same height as its face, and threw his sword at its head. The sword lodged in one of its eyes, and Cyrus began to fall to the ground, while re-summoning his sword. His sword appeared back in his hand and he stabbed it into the underside of the frost Wyrm and dragged his sword through its underbelly while he fell. This caused the Wyrm's frontside to split open, as some of its organs dropped to the ground. Cyrus continued his attack, as he sent a fire element energy sword into the open wound to cauterise it while dealing damage. He then jumped back up and swung his sword as hard as he possibly could, and sliced the head of the Wyrm off in one clean cut.

Upon finishing the tenth floor, a screen appeared in front of him.

*The First Challenger To Complete The Tenth Floor Has Been Arrived, Challenger Rank Will Be Calculated And Rewarded In Accordance.*

*Challenger Rank Has Been Calculated*

*SSS Rank Has Been Received*

*Challenger Will Be Added To Hall Of Fame Rankings, What Name Would The Challenger Like To Go By*

Cyrus thought for a moment, and decided to go by a name that linked to a character from one of his favourite franchises that held the same name as him, Galactic.

*Challenger Galactic Has Been Recorded*

*Reward: Pet Egg*

*Reward Sub-Class Draw*

Cyrus was happy to see that he would gain a pet, as it would provide companionship on floors that were single player, and he was even more excited to see the fabled Sub-Class that barely anyone had ever received, and the first spin for his pet egg appeared in front of him.
