The Beginning

"Ariel, happy birthday! Make a wish!" Ariel closed her eyes and thought about a wish. That was the last time she saw her family. The very last time she gets to stay in her warm home in Western England Valley. It was usually bright and sunny but on her birthday, it was dark and cloudy.

Moments later, gunshots were fired. Blood. Smell of blood was everywhere. Ariel was five years old when her parents tragically died by gunshots. All she remembered was seeing her own parents lying liveless on the ground. Since they couldn't afford land, she had to see her own family being burned in fire. Those were dark times when weapons were modernized to have the ability to harm people. Ariel doesn't want to remember them. She buried it deep in her mind.

After weeks of living on streets and begging for food, a rough old man took her in. His name was Luis. He was quite old, rough looking, with grey hair and beard. Ariel was still young so she did everything she could just to survive. Her weak body gradually got better. Her small body began to regain back the energy. After few weeks of living with Luis in an old house, Ariel was taken in by another gentleman. From then on, she started to work on easy jobs to earn some money. It was not much so she decided to save it. She was still young and they provided her a roof, bed and food. How much more can she ask? She worked for the Williams for as long as she can remember. Ariel grew into a beautiful girl. Even though her past was tragic, she wouldn't let that define her. Her wish was to serve people well. The Williams motto was:

No matter who you serve, serve with your whole heart. Serving your master is your first priority. You are their servant, they are your master. Your freedom depends on them. Serving well will let you live well while serving badly can let you lose your life. No matter who is your master, remember this and memorize this with your whole heart.

Ariel memorized it with her whole heart. She's been waiting for the day where she can serve her new master. Her old master passed away. Putting her past aside, she wanted to focus on her life. Of course, she wanted her parents to be proud of her. She wanted to survive in this dark world. Now, she met the most handsome man in the Han family. She wanted to serve him well. Of course, she had her dreams of meeting a man she can spend her life with.

Ariel, a servant girl, who is very dedicated in serving her master finally met the man who can change her whole life.

When she met Han Jun for the first time, like every girls, she was attracted to his aura and beauty. She remained calm and collected when they met face to face. Her heart was beating for him before he even noticed. She reminded herself that she was only his servant and his assistant. Not a lover nor a wife. It was impossible for her to love him, she is just a servant after all.

Master Han Jun was high up the ladder. He is considered a noble in all of England. Rumors had it that he is actually a demon child. Everyone was afraid of him of turning evil. Ariel, on the other hand, did not think the rumors were true. After all, he is her new master whom she will be serving. Ariel was not afraid of him but gets startled easily because her heart always beats for him.

From the first time she laid her eyes on her new master, she was glad Chris introduced her to Master Han. Master Han Jun was very handsome, his short black hair swept across his face. His eyes were clear with ocean blue color, he was tall and he looked good wearing a tuxedo. She thought, why would anyone call him a devil? He was so handsome.

Ariel stood by her master every second. Observing him from afar and upclose. All those times, he never smiled. His eyes and personality were icy cold. It reminded her of her previous owner who passed away. He was of old age, his whole family passed away with no one accompanying him. It was only Ariel that he could talk to. Her previous owner was a person of little words. He didn't talk much at all and sometimes he answered one to two words at most. But right now she made up her mind. She wanted to be someone who can comfort other people and to serve them with her whole heart. She can relate to those loneliness.

In her heart, she made a vow:

Master Han,

I promise you that I will never leave you unless you tell me to leave. I wish to bring you comfort and to be able to serve you well. I will not serve any other people. Master Han, I will only serve you."

Ariel closed her eyes and recollected her thoughts. Master's parents were also dead, she understood the pain and loneliness that he is going through. Although she didn't say anything, her presence made a huge difference to him. She promised herself to watch over him and will not let him down.
